Low Quality, Flimsy. Go 4 Rhode PSA1+!

Personally their are much better ones with larger/wider screw c-clamps for attaching off the side of a desk. It doesn't have much of a wide base which in turn doesn't give it much support. You can adjust the screws at the pivot points to get it to where you want it in movement and resistance. I recommend going with a higher quality brand that has thicker arm material so you can fully extend it from across a desk without having it sag like this one tends to do. I am not even using an XLR microphone and had a HyperX Quadcast S at the end which barley was able to hold it at full extension. I ended up returning the item and going with a Rode PSA1+ which has A+ quality that can NOT be beat. The adjustability and everything about it screams perfection. If you want a boom arm that has immense adjustability with nice large and thick base supports then that is what you want to look into although it is over $100.

Decent mic arm

Connection points need more strength.

I can screw it down all I want but the little screw that is the connection point for the arm to the base is not very strong. I'd recommend drilling your hole all the way through it and securing it on the other side with a bolt if you don't mind fixed position.
