This mic not only sounds great for the price but, the built in headphone jack that lets you monitor your voice works wonderfully. Im using it on Windows 10 without any issues. Also the install was plug and play. Surprisingly the Cakewalk Music Creator LE 5 software that came with it is actually useful, powerful and fun to use. I recorded my drumset for fun and was able to control reverb, compression, EQ and, because of the built in headphone jack I could easily monitor the recording without fumbling with any other connections or settings. Great purchase!

I love, love this mic because it is so small and versatile (can clip to your laptop or placed on table situated on its' own built-in stand).
I use the free Audacity software and the mic works like a charm. It truly is plug and play - no need to download drivers. It picks up quite well, even if someone is standing 20-30 feet away. In Audacity, you are able to adjust the gain and actually hear what is being picked up on the mic by plugging headphones directly into the mic.
I also like the fact that this mic has cardioid and omni-directional (360) patterns.
I use it to record meetings, music events and lectures. Everyone always asks me where I got my mic and expressed how they wanted one too.
Bottom line: it picks up sounds quite well, small, various recording patterns, it's plug and play and does it job well!

Great Entry-Level USB Mic

For my startup company, I have had to record some demo and promo videos. The standard mic that came with my PC was picking up way too much background noise and recorded voice with too much boom. After debating cheaper $20 mics at Best Buy, I decided to go mid-range and spring for the $50 Go Mic. After using it, I am happy I went with the Go Mic. It is easy to use since it's just USB plug-n-play. Voice audio recorded is nice and clear. My recordings would even have been better if I realized that there are 2 main settings on the mic. One setting just records from the front side of the mic. The other setting records from the front and the back of the mic. This setting seems to record too much background noise if you are trying to record voiceovers. Just make sure you pick the right setting and you should be quite happy with the recording quality of this mic.

This mic suits my needs perfectly. I use it for making quick audio files for review and posting online. The pre-bundled software "Music Creator" seemed clunky to me and was only a trial, so I downloaded Audacity with the LAME converter for free. No problems. Hooks up easily to my Sony convertible laptop and works as advertised. Very sensitive so there's no need to shout.

it's small, easy to use, and comes with great software. while it's a condenser mic, I wouldn't recommend it for drums. I had to put the mic in a separate room for my drums not to be too loud, and that lowers the sound definition and quality. the other thing is, if you are not familiar with track/layer recording software, prepare to be lost. the program it comes with is very complex and is somewhat difficult to figure out how to use all of its hundreds of features. however, overall, the Go Mic has an outstanding price tag, records voice and other things like guitar excellently, and is just plain cool to have. if you write music, it's perfect for just practicing and playing around with and came in very handy for what I wanted to use it for, even though my drums were too loud for it.

This mic is easy to set up and teamed with Audacity is a breeze to use. Recordings are great quality and the mic picks up even the most quiet of sounds.

Using for skype on windows 8.1

I use this microphone on my new desktop running windows 8.1 in coordination with earbuds so i could avoid the heavy, uncomfortable feeling of my old gaming headset. It works very well in every program I have tried including gmail/google video call, skype and vent.
The only negative to this is that it does not plug into the microphone jack on your computer, instead using usb. I did not have any issues with drivers or my computer in general on a software level, however I have noticed something I haven't encountered with audio jack items in the past. Every time my computer is loading a video game, such as starting up Starcraft or any temporarily memory intensive program, the mic sensitivity shoots way up. When I'm in a skype call people say "Woah! You just got really loud!" and they can hear my room noise much greater for that minute. Then it goes back to normal. This is the ONLY issue I have had with this microphone.
Overall I would highly recommend it. Well made, tiny, uses a standard usb cable that can be easily replaced if you ever ruin yours, works well as a replacement for picking up your voice if you were using a headset or lesser quality mic in the past.

Great sound quality for the money. MAJOR Problem- is have to unplug it to play back your ppt slide and then remember to plug it back in when you start to record again. Delay in recording when plugging back in. Should't have to unplug it to play back. Time consuming and increases mistakes.

I use this microphone to record my classical guitar music for my own instruction to hear my progress and record another musician's duet part so I can practice playing with them without them being there. It does pick up some humming when attached to my laptop which could be a fan I'm running or something else so that does mar the sound quality of what I pick up. However, for what I'm doing, this is not a problem. If you are recording for demos or something more professional, you might need to add a filter of some kind to remove the hum if you experience it. It could just be my laptop having an issue. The software has a lot of modes to play. The tutorial is needed to get you off the ground but it has a lot of options to record several tracks as needed. It was just what I was looking for and a pretty good price also.

I picked this up for a last minute voiceover project. I wasn't sure how much use it would get so I went for a less expensive product. It is definitely worth the price I paid for it. I only mentioned recording quality because I had to fill in the space. It doesn't have the range of a mic I would use for a professional singing session, it works phenomenally for speaking and scratch vocal recordings.

All in all the value is excellent. My son's newest venture, at 13 years old, is to record you tube videos of him and his friends gaming. We had tried other microphones and found this one to have great sound quality without spending a lot of money
