Fast drive! Gen 5 is the way to go. Very pleased with the performance.

These new SSD's From Samsung is the real deal... Even on an older Gen 3 PCIe board, I'm getting the fastest speeds ever and no buffering caching sluggishness that I was having before on my Windows 11 laptop... The 8TB just came out, will be waiting for the price to come down more before jumping to 8TB... I am going to buy more of these for my portable SSD USB devices... Glad I waited for these and didn't but the last generation of them...

In my opinion, it doesn't get better than Samsung Pro Series SSDs. Yes, they are expensive, but they perform fantastically, have a great warranty, and are reliable.

This SSD blazes, coming from standard 2.5 SSD this Samsung 9100 PRO made a world of difference in load time and large data transfers. I bought this over the 980 PRO and comparing information online and am exteremly happy. Well worth the extra cost if you want a truly next generation and future proof PC.

Fast Transfer speed. I have the Samsung 9100 4 TB Pro as Main drive and second drive the Samsung 9100 2TB Pro also Moved my 9800 Samsung 1 TB to new Asus Rog Arion External Enclosure to transfer files works better then Flash Drive

I picked up the Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB Gen 5 NVMe SSD and it’s insanely fast. Boot times, game loading, and large file transfers all feel almost instant. Installation was straightforward, but you definitely need a motherboard that supports PCIe Gen 5 to get the full speed.

I purchased the 9100 Pro as a 2nd SSD for my HP Omen Max 16, intending to provide a higher speed 2TB as a companion to the installed Gen4 2 TB. After in the install was completed by Geek Squad, we tested read/write speed on the 9100 Pro and disk did not match advertised specs. In-depth investigation by Geek Squad later revealed that laptop's internal circuity limited speed of 2nd SSD to the Gen4 boot SSD--HP doc said Gen5 "supported" but did not mean full potential could be reached. I returned Gen5 SSD and replaced with Samsung 990 PRO, a Gen4 with very decent specs--matching or exceeding specs of laptop's primary SSD. Install of the 990 PRO went without a hitch and tests for Read/Write speed approximated advertised spec. The hardware from Samsung rates a 5, my experience having to go through an install, removal, re-order, reinstall is what rates a 4.

It doesnt dissappoint me of its performance. Very fast and it doesnt give me a problem after plugging it.

Took my old laptop to the next level. runs fast and cool, power efficiency is great. Kudos Samsung

Anyone who wants great speeds for file transfer, read, and write, this is the way to go. Gen 5 is the future and the difference from my Gen 4 M.2 is noticeable. Utilizing GPT format allows for improved partitioning. I have many partitions on this one drive for Windows, Game installations and other Software. Documents now live on my Gen 4 drive and all loadable content lives on this M.2. Hardly any load times on any of my games.

Overall excellent for productivity with video editing and if you do any large transfers. Something like this however, isnt much different compared to a Gen4 drive in pretty much every other aspect. If you are playing games or something that doesnt demand such high read/write speeds then this isnt the drive for you.

Second current fastest speeds of this gen. Best for gaming. Not too overkill. Great for enthusiast gaming

I had an 8 year old hard drive that held my windows 11 and it was failing. But when the geek squad installed this m.2 ssd. My boot speeds increased 10 fold. I’ve never seen downloading anything go that fast. This SSD is the real deal and so worth it.

Pretty great. Has made pc life better. Why is there a character min?

My first build and this ssd is great, the price is a little high but for the quality and performance, it’s amazing. highly recommended.

So far, it’s working like a charm, the price could be better but it won’t in this Ramaggedon and AI demands.

Super fast drive at a great price (at least at the time). I can't comment on longevity but I have had several Samsung drives and am using all of them still today. If you have a Gen 5 NVME slot, take advantage of it.

Install was easy and straight forward. Fast speeds. Would buy again.

I like the speeds. Not sure how long these are rated to last for.
