WORST microwave we have ever owned!

I don't know if we got a faulty one, or what, but this is absolutely the WORST microwave we have ever owned. All you hear all day is a beep from the kitchen as the microwave switches from the clock to defrost, or pizza mode. You reset it to clock, and a few minutes later you hear a beep and it has returned to defrost or pizza mode. Even without resetting it, the microwave will keep switching back and forth between defrost and pizza on its own. So it is beep, beep, beep all day long. As if that isn't bad enough, several times a week you will go to use it, and you push the buttons and nothing happens. The front is still lit up, and when you open the microwave the light comes on, so it has power, but none of the buttons on the front work. So you have to unplug it and plug it back in. It works as a microwave and heats and cooks food, but all the other issues have us looking for a different microwave. Don't think we will be buying Samsung appliances ever again.

Be sure to measure twice as this unit is very deep.

The vent fan on your over-the-range microwave helps keep smoke and steam clear from the microwave. It will even turn on automatically if the microwave gets too hot. But if the fan strength isn't strong enough to hold up a napkin, you may feel like it's not working. Fortunately, there's an easy way to tell.

Our only issue is my husband has trouble seeing the numbers on the keyboard (his eyesight is getting worse). At some point I need to get the vent hooked up to vent outside, but that will require a service call from a HVAC person because the vent couldn’t be hooked to the existing pipe.
