We replaced our GE microwave that vents outside...noise level was 66 db. This Samsung slim microwave at the highest level...noise level is 75 db. Not much of a noise level difference. This microwave does suck out a lot more of the smoke, smell when we cook in our gas range. A lot less odor inside the house. A few note on installing a microwave that does a wall venting....this goes for other brands as well. Since, you have to center this microwave under the kitchen cabinet.....you will have a high probability of hitting a wall stud. Vent hole is 12 inches...distance between wall studs is 16 inches. Our builder...made a smaller vent hole so that they will not hit the wall stud. My advice...get someone to professionally make your vent hole. Suggestion for Samsung....since it will be almost impossible to center the wall vent hole and miss both wall studs....can you make an adjustment at the back of the microwave so that we can cover part of the microwave vent hole?

This OTR microwave is not only stylish, but operates with ease! We have this vented to the outside and the boost function for ventilation is awesome. We get a lot of “oh wow, that’s a cool microwave.”

Like the shorter profile of the microwave, and the added space above the stove. Good led lighting, better than my previous microwave. Functions as a microwave should. Like the looks of the unit in the kitchen. Pleased with the purchase. Paid a little more for the unit with the stronger exhaust fan. Dont have it vented outside yet, but seems to draw out smoke well.

This has been an awesome Microwave. Very good quality and works very well. It doesn’t have a backlit screen but it functions ver well for what it is.

Pretty nice over the head range, I like how it sinks up with my stove so when you turn the stove on the hood comes on. They both have to be smart things though.

Had to buy this when kitchen cabinets did not fit other microwave we ordered. More than we would want to spend on microwave but it works! Too fancy for us but if you like the bells and whistles and the sleek look its a great choice!

This was easy to install for me. Great looking and easy to use. Love the exhaust. The only thing I would change is the touchpad. It is impossible to see at lower light levels.

After kitchen remodel, just started using this. Works great. Very quiet. Looks great!

Really good quality and easy to use, however the hood ventilation feature is pretty loud, so it makes it hard to hear. Other than that it is very nice and looks great.

Loved this microwave at first for its more practical, space-saving design. We only warm our leftovers and coffee, so we didn't need a large appliance taking up space. The annoying placement of the fan that shouldn't be the closest to the right of the door opening. The second, and probably most significant, issue is that after one year, the keypad has connection issues when powering up, which we found upon further research. The interior light works but there's a common connection issue that stops the keypad from being active. We are buying the same one just becuase in the end we want to keep the design aspect but the warranty is an issue and the cost to inspect the issue is 1/3rd the cost of a new one.

Install - super easy. Design - Modern. Features - all good, and smart. Vent - Best in class. Noise level - super low comparatively. Samsung support - so far close to none. This style is not for everyone. I am yet to find a place where I can easily get spare parts, basically filters for replacement. Ideally, there's app, and it should direct me to the Samsung or buyer's market for it. But there's no such integration so far. Overall I am happy with purchase. It looks nice, doesn't feel cheap from any angle. I will update the review if there's any problem with it, hopefully that will not happen.

The slim size of our microwave fits well in out kitchen. It has taken a little time to find all the features and I don’t like it when the timer display reverts back to the current time with a little picture of a clock face in the corner indicating that the timer is still on. I didn’t know how to get the timer back so I could see how long it had left on it. I finally discovered that if I clicked on the clock icon it would show.

We're loving our new slim microwave! We paired it with a low profile double oven and the combination of the two really opened up the space.

This is a great microwave. It is a small profile but has a powerful fan with 4 speed options. The over stove lighting is great. This small profile allows us to see everything on the stove which is great. The only issue with this design is that my wife at 5' has difficulties getting things in an out . All of my guests have commented that they really like the design.

We are enjoying our new microwave even while we are still learning how to use it. It is our first over the range microwave, and the slim profile fits our kitchen perfectly. Coming from a ten year old microwave, this new one is very impressive. We have yet to cook in it. We have only used it to reheat. It has a very powerful fan and the LED lights are nice and bright. If you’re looking for a new over the range microwave, you might want to check this one out.

Overall I very much like this microwave. Unfortunately the first one delivered had a small dent on the face of the door, and needed replacing. The second one delivered was a slight disappointment in that the clock didn't have the option of military time that the first one did have. The light, and the fan are both excellent. It's amazing how much more you need to spend to get a smaller microwave.

The unit has more wattage for cooking, the vent function is powerful, the height allows for taller pots on the stove, the extension out over the stove so it vacuums out from all 5 burners. The different cooking modes are taking a while to learn, I like that the handle is built in so no breaking the handle! Inside cleans easily. Watch the delivery - the first delivery had a crushed left side. The second delivery was missing the installation instructions and templates. Lost about 11 days to finally get a good unit to install.
