This microwave oven is very slim and features are easy to use. The air vent system works well and is pretty hefty. Remains to be seen if it will be a durable appliance hence the 4 Star rating.

Compact, best microwave fan on the market. Simple to use. App controlled if wanted. Syncs with Samsung ranges. 1150 watt power -cooks fast. Love the sensor cooking feature. Would purchase again!

I purchased the Samsung 1.1 cu. ft. Smart SLIM Over-the-Range Microwave on May 19, 2024, and it has been a fantastic upgrade! The slim design is perfect for maximizing space without sacrificing performance. Even with its compact size, it heats food quickly and evenly, making meal prep a breeze. The 550 CFM hood ventilation is surprisingly powerful, effectively removing smoke and odors while cooking. I also love the smart features, allowing me to control settings conveniently through my phone. The stainless steel finish gives my kitchen a modern, high-end look, and the controls are intuitive and easy to use. For anyone looking for a sleek, space-efficient, and high-performance microwave, I highly recommend this Samsung model! Definitely worth it!

Love it. Good power, looks nice. My wife and I installed without issues. Inside is much more spacious than I thought. Presets are a pain to cycle through but they work very well.

We wanted something with a low profile, could function as a hood and has a high flow rate. This fits all the bill - and the 550 CFM is probably the highest for a microwave/hood combo. We have set it for venting outside the house as we cook/fry a lot and don’t want fumes lingering indoors. And the powerful fan delivers on that front. We did spend adequate time making sure ducts were properly sealed and there were no apparent leakages - and we found this helped making sure noise level were acceptable to our preference and comparable to our regular 300 CFM over the range microwave it replaced. I wouldn’t recommend microwave to be used in recirculating mode as 550 CFM blowing from top of the microwave back into the kitchen will be noisy. Other than, two stage cooking is a great feature. Wi-fi connectivity is fine but we don’t use it much. Overall, happy with purchase.

This microwave is awesome! Its a perfect fit for it over our stove. It runs great! An awesome light and fan too!

Very heavy! Love the sleek design of this over the range. The led lights on the bottom are amazing and the vent works great. Simple to mount but definitely a 2 person job.

Love the slender form factor of this Microwave. Fan speed is good, but he button is in the worst location....you end up pressing it every time you open the door.

Great slim design and powerful fan for over the stove. Kicks all the smell and smoke from cooking right outside fast. Would recommend

The microwave works well and installation went smoothly. The control panel is gray on black and difficult to read without bright light. I love the bright light. I really dislike the fact that Best Buy stores do not have a phone number to call if there is a question or issue. It will prevent me from shopping there in the future.

Microwave seemed great at first, matches our stove and provides good ventilation but has no longevity to key components. After only 10 months of use the noise filter board failed, meaning the magnetron doesn't get any power and it won't heat up anything. The original board was replaced under warranty (an excruciating process, but hey at least it was covered). Now, just under a year after that board was replaced, it failed again. Samsung will not warranty the replacement part, because apparently replacement parts carry 0 warranty now, even though I was told that it would carry a warranty when it was replaced, and it was installed by an authorized service center under warranty. On top of that the Samsung rep refused to even escalate to a supervisor to ask for special consideration in this case. It's $102 for the replacement part from Samsung and I was quoted $280-$420 in labor by the same service center... for that price I'll just buy a new microwave and NOT a Samsung, as I'm sure the replacement board will just fail again in another year or less. Best Buy has been no help, just deferring all responsibility to Samsung.

Bought in open box condition, however parts were missing as well as packaging. Returned the item, and found another open box one. In the second time, it had all parts and the packaging. It is pretty heavy and I had to drive 4 hours to complete the purchases and return, but now the microwave works great. Was the driving worth it? That’s a tough question.

We like having the microwave above the stove and this slim design made it possible for the space we had to work with. It works fine and is easy to read the numbers. You just have to remember when you buy it that you can’t fit tall things in it.

The microwave functions great and cooks evenly. The settings are a little awkward. The beverage setting is way too deep in the menu. The clock runs slow and will be behind 2 min every week. I've since just turned off the clock display so I don't have to sync the time in the app every few days. As a microwave though, it still works great. The fan is powerful as well. Those 2 things are what really mattered to me.

This was easy to install for me. Great looking and easy to use. Love the exhaust. The only thing I would change is the touchpad. It is impossible to see at lower light levels.

It uses standard vent in the back so it was easy to install it. Instructions were clear. Looks fantastic. It is heavy and needs two people to lift it into bracket on the wall.

I bought this because I like the low-profile look and ability to sync to my new Samsung range. However the first one has terrible vibration on the mid-high vent settings. The replacement had another issue; the motor kicked in very loud every time the microwave started. The third one finally got no such issues. However, this product has overall issues that you realize as you go: buttons are not lid and impossible to see without lights on in the kitchen. Also, the vent is not working very well; even though it is very powerful, it also leaks inside the room. Also, when something steams in the cooktop the microwave starts pressing buttons randomly itself (weird). The only feature I like is, that it pairs/syncs with the Samsung range and starts when you start cooking. I am not happy overall quality of the product. I will replace it with another low-profile microwave.

I bought this one in November 2023, and the Smart slim microwave looks good and works very well. So far, I have no issues.

Replaced a 16" tall unit. The Slim unit opened up the space above the stove has a better exhaust fan and LED illumination. It is powerful and big enough for our use.

The microwave is minimal in size but offers all the same features as the other massive over the range microwaves. I haven’t had an issue since install. Be aware that since it is minimal in hieght it does add in depth quite a bit conpared to other microwaves.
