Worthless for Fan over stove

That said, as a microwave this is fine. As a range hood it makes LOTS of noise and blows a TON of air out the top, but barely pulls anything through the bottom. When I cook the whole front of the microwave ends up covered in steam. Not good for your cabinets to have that much steam pooling above.. I would look elsewhere. Samsung sent a tech and they said it was fine because on the highest setting it can hold a piece of paper. That said, watch the videos online about this complaint from other people where they showed internally all the holes in the microwave and they taped them to make it actually pull air through. You aren’t allowed to do this as it voids any warranty, but it is an accurate representation of how poorly this works. Wish I had seen those before buying. Not worth the cost of the microwave and install. Find another one.

Please access the link and turn to page 7 for the minimum acceptable clearance of the microwave with the cabinets and stove for proper ventilation and avoid condensation issues with the microwave.

If the exhaust fan is on high when you turn the microwave on the fan speed cuts to 50%.
