This and the multiple repairs on my 5 yo Samsung refrigerator have completely soured me on Samsung. Their stuff looks nice but the quality is terrible.

Costs more to fix than buy new

Called Samsung and they set up an authorized service center to come repair it. $250 to walk in our door and over $600 to repair!! What?!?! Not the kind of quality I expect for Samsung.

Our last microwave would make a continuous beeping sound that we could hear. Not this one. I never would have purchased this had I known they designed a Timer that only dogs can hear.

Not of expected quality from Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Already got this repaired twice. Has serious design flaw and a dangerous one. It turns on by itself even without you actually turning it on. And the unit becomes hot. We got it repaired and had to pay for it since it was outside of warranty. The repairman advised us that it was a temporary fix and the issue can happen again. So, whenever we go out for longer time, we make it a point to unplug it to avoid any serious fire hazards. It's quite loud too. It's on the verge of breaking down again. Our previous one was GE that was perfectly fine even after running for 16 years. Since this one came as part of refrigerator and the cooking range, we replaced it. And we repent about it. The refrigerator and cooking range are great but the microwave is really bad.

Avoid Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We " downgraded" our entire kitchen set with Samsung for around 4k two years ago. In that time the dishwasher had to be replaced because it wouldn't wash dishes and almost never complete a cycle. The microwave the handle broke off,the front door cover broke off,and the door doesn't latch. The stove is ok but alot of variance in temp settings for the eyes. The fridge is the only thing that kind of resemble a somewhat good appliance. Samsung does NOT make a quality kitchen product and I will NEVER purchase another Samsung item for the kitchen. I wish I would have saw this review before I originally redid our kitchen.

Do Not Waste your money

It smells like burning plastic and no longer warms up. Spend a bit more ang get another brand, samsung is not made for long term

It last as long as most relationships.

It has nice features, but the door would not stay shut and it became impossible to use. After looking deeper into the complaints, the door mechanism seems to be a constant failure issue.

Unreliable!

Great TVs and Phones - Questionable Appliances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would be cautious when purchasing a Samsung Appliance and the Tech Guard - 2 years ago we spent over $5000 on Samsung appliances like this. After 2 years and 1 month, the bottom of the dishwasher is not working, the ice machine in refrigerator works half the time and yesterday the 2nd microwave stopped working. After 2 45 minute phone calls to Best Buy total tech that we pay for, we have been waiting a month for a call back on scheduling service. We have 3 Samsung TVs, cell phones and projector from Best Buy that work great and that is why we went with Samsung Appliances. But I would be cautious on the appliances and the Geek Squad/Total Tech package.

Dead in less than a year

Also, the installers were very unprofessional, broke my stool that they borrowed (not sure why they didn’t have their own when it’s a pretty standard installation). And they didn’t even tell me they broke it. They also charged me their own surprise fee for installation and told me Best Buy would refund what they charged me. Best Buy did not refund me. They said they would send a gift card but it never came. I had to pay the two hour late guys to install my microwave 80 dollars. They also left a big scratch on it. This is the last thing I will ever have installed by Best Buy. I bought it with a brand new stove, And of course they put a dent in that too. I’m pretty sure this is broken because they probably did something wrong on the installation, or it’s a piece of 300 dollar garbage.

Poor durability

I consulted a repair guy, and he said that the symptoms seemed to be that the magnetrons were going bad and the parts were expensive, which would not be worth to repair.

About a month after we got it the Popcorn button stopped working. Three years to the day of buying it and the microwave keeps overheating and turning off - super frustrating when you are in the middle of cooking multiple things for dinner. It also then needs to sit for 10+ minutes to cool off!

Handle is poorly made

The oven works fine but the plastic piece on the inside bottom of the handle broke. Now I have to hold on to the top of the handle to open the door. Very disappointing.

Samsung Support/ warranty is a joke

Took the microwave to a repair shop (as we were told to do by Samsung) and found out that it was the main board that went out and is supposed to be covered for 10 years under Samsung warranty. Samsung support was a nightmare to work with, had to call in several times and after doing everything they told us to do they still have not paid us for the microwave or the repairs. This is our first and last Samsung appliance we will be purchasing.

Don't get it

Didn't last more than 2 years of regular use. If you google the model you will note many people complaining about the same issue. And, forget about replacing the door. It will cost as much as a new Microwave

Dont get this microwave

It is now february 2024 and the microwave has completely died. During this 4 year and 3 months duration the microwave handle broke off, the door latch suffered issues closing, and the exhaust is absolutely horrible.
