Poor cooling performance

I had to crank to 6/6 cooling setting and even then it wasn't at or below 40 F at times. I'm disappointed, because the unit looks great and it was the perfect size for the small area of my kitchen where I wanted it. I tried various troubleshooting steps (check for bad seals, 2+ inches of space around sides and top and back, don't open door too much, let it run for a couple days, etc.) but it continued to perform poorly.
