Like so many appliances that look great on the showroom floor, I did not discover my Samsung fridge limitations until it was put into use. Here's a list its shortcomings:
a) fridge light does not illuminate items on back of shelves.
b) depth of shelves make it very difficult to see and reach items on back of shelves.
c) full width shelving does not allow any flexibility in division of space.
d) fridge door must be fully open to readjust shelf spacing. In my case, with the right side against the wall, this mean having to move the entire unit out at an angle to adjust shelving. This means having to rebalance the fridge each time I readjust the shelves.
e) spacing of shelves does not allow for placement of tall items. I have to store soda bottles, milk jugs, etc. in door shelves, which seems to put a lot of weight strain on the door.
f) bottom right produce drawer does not open fully due to lack of space mentioned above.
On the positive side, I like the sleek design, especially the pullout drawer at the top to store cheeses, eggs, meats, etc. The freezer configuration is spacious. I like accessibility of controls on front of unit inside door, but how often do you use those?
I am considering building my own half shelf to allow for more visibility and tall item storage. Another option is to use a glass cutter and cut one of the existing shelves in half.

Very Nice Unit for a Good Price

I bought this unit from Best Buy and have had it a couple months. So far, I'm very pleased with it. The temperature is bang on and consistent in the refrigerator and freezer (I used Consumer Reports recommended settings of 4 for the refrigerator and 3 for the freezer). The interior space is fine for the two of us. We eat lots of fruits and vegetables, which take up space, but the unit is big enough. The crisper drawers provide more storage than what I've been used to but they're also lower in the unit, something to keep in mind if you don't like bending and stooping a bit. It's quiet, too. Some reviewers have complained that the door will stay half-open if you don't give it a nudge. It's true and I don't understand why that "feature" was designed in. But, it really hasn't been a problem once I knew about it. Some have also complained about finger prints showing on the door but, honestly, it's the easiest thing to wipe them off. We don't use the ice maker and it was a little tricky learning how to turn it off, but no big deal. All in all, if the unit continues to work as well as it has been, I'll be a very happy consumer.

Way Better Than I Thought

We had limited options when purchasing a Samsung black stainless steel fridge in the smaller size we needed for our kitchen. The one we really wanted had french doors but was out of stock everywhere and were even told was discontinued. So we went with this more basic model because it was in stock. When we went to the store, not only was it in stock but was an open box display which saved us a lot more money out the door. It was in perfect shape and when we got it home were very pleased with the overall design/quality.
The fridge is much bigger than we thought when it comes to storage. It is almost the same dimensions as my old fridge but holds a lot more food. We love it. The clear drawers allow us to see the veggies so they are not "out of sight out of mind" and won't go bad as easily.
It also has an automatic ice maker but we did not hook a line up to it. It has nice features to control the temperature and you can even change both compartments to a fridge if you want.
Overall it is a great refrigerator and we absolutely love it.

Nice fridge, very clean lines. I bought this for an apartment. The kitchen is kinda small so I didn't want a fridge handle sticking out. This works out great. Nice color, quiet fridge. It's been a month-I hope it last.

Due to the space in my kitchen I had to get a smaller fridge than what I really wanted. I am very pleased with how the space is used in this fridge. Seems like a larger cubic foot than what it is. It's quiet. Love the lights in fridge and freezer. Came with the ice maker so I didn't have to purchase this separately. Just needed the water line installed. I love the stainless steel. I love the double fridge option. Since I have a chest freezer I may use that during a gathering for even more space. I also like the alarm feature for when it is open too long. I have nothing bad to say at all. I love it. I am a Samsung fan and didn't know they had appliances. One day I will get the fancy one with the touch screen on the outside with the calendar and everything. LOL

Perfect size for a finished basement

Just the right size for the basement. The flex feature is great. Plenty of room in the fridge. Runs quiet.
One thing to keep in mind, the leveling system is all in the front, no leveling legs on the rear, a bit of a problem for me because I installed for a built in look and the floor was not finished on the backside (all my fault, two small blocks took care of the problem)
Also a bit expensive, but this fridge provided everything I wanted and looked nicer than other brands. We also purchased the counter depth Samsung 4 door flex w/beverage center last year and liked that so much we bought another flex.

What can you say about a refrigerator? Very nice fridge, very quiet. Not quite Fingerprint Resistant but based on some steel appliances I've seen it's better. Sleek, modern design which I like and fits into the kitchen nook nicely. Interior space is well utilized and cools/freezes efficiently. The delivery left a bit more to be desired. The guys tossed it in, wouldn't hook up the ice maker to the water line because the water line shut-off valve is in my crawl space and I suppose they didn't want to get too dirty. After they left I noticed they did not level the feet. I called for them to come back but they tore out of my drive way like they knew what they did. I now have to hire a handyman to adjust it and hook up the features I bought it for, so I can't speak much on that.

Due to the size of my kitchen I only had 3 units to choose from. This was the best of the 3. They MOUNTED a pull out deli tray on the top which in the beginning I was like that is awesome. Because of this tray you can not really move the shelves because of the door compartments. It also is pretty unnoticeable so it easy to forget items. I would have liked to see this in the future to have the option to move around just like the shelves. The veggie drawers are nice and extend the life of my produce. The freezer has a light! The ice maker itself produced dark yellow ice cubes, don't freak out run it a few cycles and they will be just fine. When my water line was installed they forgot to turn on the ice maker, it is not in the manual but it easily can be turned on by the controls mounted on the exterior of the freezer opening. I would also like to see in the future deeper shelving on the doors. Does it look nice, you bet but you need to clean it 24/7 for finger prints. Would I buy it again 50/50 chance.

Our old refrigerator died and left in its place a space that could only fit a few models. So far we are extremely happy with the look and space inside given the size limit. It is so much better organized inside than our previous fridge, and the function that allows for changing the freezer space into more refrigerator space will come in handy when we finally purchase a chest freezer. It’s an attractive and functional choice and we are quite happy with it. It also helped to have a patient, knowledgeable, and helpful sales person to help us with our purchase.

I overanalyze and have a hard time making a decision.. so it took me awhile til we decided on this model. Didn't want huge and all the extras but still something nice.. so got the black stainless steel. With small children and lots of pictures I'd like to put them on the front but don't because my magnets are the super duper clip type and will scratch. So the sides work much better since they are the durable black painted? ..kinda textured looking kind.. wish I could have that all over. Like the old white fridges used to be. Anyway that's all pretty minor.. and more importantly-the fridge is working good! Easy to operate. Adjustable shelves making it very practical. Im hoping it will last a good long time. Haven't installed ice maker line yet so don't know on that.. but purchased geek squad incase something goes bad. Too bad nowadays things aren't made to last... oh I also like the sleek look with no handle. I was afraid my children would not master opening it without smudging all over but its not too bad. (Smudges do appear often with little blessings tho!)

I love this fridge! I love that it's fingerprint free, how sleek it is and the fact that there's an ice maker. It seems like you can even convert the freezer to a regular fridge but I can't speak to that as I haven't personally tried it yet. I was even able to switch the doors to swing the other way as it suits my kitchen layout better that way. So far it's been pretty quiet, no noticeable noise. Great purchase, highly recommend for smaller homes/apartments!

Love this fridge for my small apartment. It is silent, not like the horribly noisy standard one my apartment complex had in there. It is very spacious and I love the adjustability of the shelves. I also like that it has two crisper drawers with actual adjusters. I am also very please it has an ice maker, which you normally do not find in smaller sized fridges. Lastly, I like the warning beepers that tells you if you leave the door open too long.

We bought this fridge a few years ago because it was the biggest one available that would fit in our kitchen prior to our kitchen remodel. It's kind of a weird "apartment" size fridge, but it is bigger than the GE model we had previously that was on its way out the door. It stays cooler than you really need it to on the lowest (warmest) settings. I imagine everything would be frozen solid if you made it as cold as it would go. It has room inside for a small family's worth of groceries to last 7-10 days. It has built in low profile lighting that doesn't eat into the useable space. The lack of external handles allows it to get really close to a wall and still be able to open and access the bottom drawers. It runs quiet, and makes ice decently fast. Overall a great fridge. The only nitpick we have is that the ice gets too cold and sometimes freezes to the tray so when the ice maker flips the cubes out they shatter into crushed ice like pieces. For me, that's a plus, but it drives my wife nuts. So I consider the opposing viewpoints on the drawback of the freezer getting cold to basically cancel each other out leaving the review with all 5 stars.

Was shopping for a new limited space appliance when I saw this Black-Stainless model . Opened it up and liked the available space , ice maker function and the ability to make the upper freezer into a refrigerator or keep as a freezer ! great controls for temp control and an alarm if you leave the door open . Also qualifies for utility rebates from the local power company . And I can't go with out mentioning the absolutely great delivery team that installed it in my home !!

This refrigerator is a great buy. It has lots of room. I especially like the pantry drawer and the gallon size door shelves. The ice-maker is small so it doesn't take up too much space in the freezer. I love the fact that the door handles are recessed and they don't catch on clothing or your head. Overall a very sweet deal. The color is beautiful (black Stainless Steel) and it fits well in my kitchen.

This is a great fridge however we would advise anyone who purchase this fridge to let them know how they want the doors swing open. We were not asked that and when it was delivered they told us that we can do it ourselves, we did but it took a bit of doing, because there are sensors, we had to switch the wiring as well. They recommended that you lay the fridge down because the footing had to be switched - but we were always told never to lay the fridge horizontally.
We like that it has no handles and comes with ice maker. It is very quiet. The crispers at the bottom can be pulled out all the way because there is no side shelves that low. That is a great feature but you loose shelving on the side of the door. Still getting used to the slide and reach pantry - this takes away the ability to place large items on the top shelf - so the shelves have to be adjusted and large items place on the bottom shelf instead.
