I took out the convenience shelf at the top to give me more room. I chose it because it had the best reviews for reliability of all the the 18 cu ft refrigerators available. So far it works great. It also has really big vegetable drawers which I appreciate.

Best Buy said they will replace it when it's available but I think I'll keep the black. Like the veggie tray in the fridge. My only complaint is that the ice still taste funny. I've dumped at least 7 loads and it still ain't right. I ended up just buying a bag of ice

It died after only 2 1/2 months. It took almost 3 weeks for Samsung to finally send a technician out after multiple calls. I lost a lot of food, had to buy a mini-fridge, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and finally was able to talk with an agent to have the money refunded. I have talked to different appliance technicians who have informed me never to buy a refrigerator from Samsung.

Stopped working less than a 18 months

Please refer to your user manual for the troubleshooting guide if your fridge is not cooling. Turn to page 44, "Fridge/freezer does not operate. Fridge/freezer temperature is warm."
