I've watched everything from regular TV, to sports events, and movies using this as the main sound source and am happy with the quality. This will in no way compete with a true surround setup but exceeds my needs. The remote works well and haven't had any issues.

Bought it on sale and was probably the best deal I've gotten so far. For bedroom and small living spaces this will be more than sufficient enough for your needs. In a larger scaled room, I don't think it has enough power to boom away and make everything vibrate. But I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The bass output from the subwoofer is adequate and the speakers sound is clear. The volume level can get quite high and having HDMI Arc is a huge plus, this allows you to use the tv (or Roku in my case) remote to control both the tv and the soundbar! For the price, I would recommend buying it.

The HDMI cable goes from the HDMI 1 Arc outlet on the TV to the HDMI Arc Out outlet on the sound bar. The digital audio cable goes from the Digital Audio Out outlet on the TV to the Digital Audio In outlet on the sound bar. Sounds great with the subwoofer. The sound bar is low; we have it in front of the TV.

Soundbar with Great Bass

The Sony Soundbar was absolutely terrible, no Bass and remote is not user friendly, very difficult to adjust. Exchanged the Sony for a SAMSUNG Soundbar, and could not be happier. SAMSUNG Soundbar has great sound definition, and Bass that rocks! Very user friendly & great sound....at an affordable price.....highly recommend SAMSUNG!

I don't have a huge living room but it is a decent size and on full blast with sub all the way up it feels like an actual movie experience. If you have the money and your not to picky with your sound this sound bar is for you.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung HW-M450 Audio Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the bass sound quality.
Please know that the HW-M450 has a dedicated Subwoofer level control on your remote.
The button is labeled “WOOFER”, and is located to the right of the Volume button.
Push the button up or down to adjust the volume of the subwoofer to -12, or -6 to +6.
Pressing the button will revert the subwoofer volume to level 0.
