The sound well adjust back and forth normal during program or movie and super loud with commercials .Today it muted itself somehow. I tried trouble shooting .. mute button was off.. power was on but no sound! Finally I turned off power on power strip and reset TV and sound bar. Then it worked. Kinda like rebooting a computer. Not sure why that happened. Instructions in manual were vague. I had to figure it out on my own.

But once connected the optical cable was non-functional until reading a late review that indicated the cable connectors had a clear cap on each end.......once removed the cable snapped together at the TV and soundbar end and all was OK. Overall have had in service for 1 month and all seems to be a good product performance for my new 55" Samsung Smart TV.

I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound quality of this device.
A common misunderstanding is that customers are not placing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.
