I have it hooked up via the cable that came with it. I wish the remote was Bluetooth. I use my TV remote to turn volume up and down. It must be positioned just right. You can't just hold the button down to turn it up. You have to click for each level you want your sound to be. I don't like that feature.

Awesome sound

It has done exactly what I wanted and more, it may be a 2.1 but it's a rockstar and I might put one in the bedroom.

Set up was super easy ,granted our tv is also a Samsung . We had WiFi issues in the beginning by the router was too close to the TV but once we changed the router it’s been flawless.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T450 Soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry that you are not happy with the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help. You may want to try changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM.
This can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, like for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 5.1 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.

I got this open-box and it was basically brand new. Very little set up required. Cables were a bit short, but most cables are nowadays.

Worth every penny in my opinion. I set it up in my living room and now movie nights are like we're right at the theater with the amazing surround sound.

My biggest issue is getting it to sync with any non-animated shows on Netflix, Hulu, Prime etc. I've followed the instruction manual to adjust it, but it just won't get just right. It's always off by just a bit. I don't have cable, so I'm not sure if they would still have the same problem.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-T450 soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry for the sound synchronization issue you are experiencing. Please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware to ver. 1043 by using a USB device. You can find the firmware update on the product page of your HW-T450 soundbar on the Samsung website.
If the video on the TV and audio from the soundbar are not synchronized, press the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote, until you see AUDIO SYNC on the display. You can then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.
