Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, easy setup, price, and bass of the 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Audio. They appreciate the great sound system, especially for watching movies, and find the setup process incredibly easy. The price is considered reasonable for the value offered. Customers also enjoy the nice bass, which is suitable for high ceilings. On the downside, customers are negative about the volume, connectivity, remote control, room size, and wall mount. Some feel that the volume is insufficient and not loud enough. Others would have preferred an HDMI connection. There are complaints about the remote control's sound mode not functioning properly. Additionally, a few customers believe the soundbar might be more suitable for smaller rooms with carpet. The lack of included wall mounting brackets is also mentioned as a drawback.

TL;DR • Great soundbar for those shopping within a budget • Minor issues that can be resolved (read further into my “Cons” section) Pros + nice sound from soundbar and subwoofer * noticeably better in terms of richness & fullness + easy to set up * easier to set up with optical cable (included) than HDMI cable (not included) Cons - turns on sometimes even when TV is turned off * may be a loose connection via optical cable * Quick Fix: unplug optical cable when not in use (not ideal but it works) - does not support UHD & HDR passthrough, only HD passthrough * UHD & HDR still displays when connecting to TV first with no audio latency for me * Quick Fix: connect devices in this order 1. external device --> TV (via HDMI) 2. TV --> soundbar (via optical cable) Neutral • No wall unit * can be purchased separately • Many hidden button functions in soundbar remote * must look up full manual online to learn hidden functions

We are really impressed with this soundbar! Loud, clear and crisp from the soundbar and booming bass from the subwoofer. Movies and music both sound great. We love the picture on our 4k Samsung TV, but the speakers on it are pretty pathetic. This 290W soundbar solved that problem completely. Soundbar paired with the TV with zero effort. Unit turns on and off from with the TV remote and so far exceeds my expectations for it. Good job Samsung!

I was a little scared picking this up after seeing some of the first reviews, however talking to the guys at the store they said they are pretty much the t550 just for best buy. They also said it released not long ago and that they have been flying off the shelves since with very few being returned. The sound is super clear and the subwoofer packs a punch. It was super easy to set up took me 5 mins to wire everything up I do recommend arc settings for an all in one experience. it works perfectly with my lg smart tv, I do recommend reading the manuel solely for how to use the remote. It does not done with mounting hardware however this speaker is still totally worth it get it over the t450

The sound is better than expected. The wireless subwoofer is convenient to put anywhere in the room. Just crank up the sound and its like being in a theatre. The connection was simple since I have a Samsung TV but that shouldn't really matter if you have another tv brand. It also came with an optical cord so that hook up was a breeze. But HDMI is another option. Compared to other much higher priced bars you will get your moneys worth. For the price.....this deal is worth it for a budget friendly sound bar at $130 at Best Buy.

This sounds is better than any sound bar I have had before. I paired it with my 70” Samsung tv and I am blown away literally by how clear and loud the sound is. The only suggestion is that you have to make you set it up to your liking as far as the sound goes. The first week I had it I was bummed because I had to raise the volume to 40 and above just to start hearing the the Intensity but then I messed around with the settings for the bass the subwoofer the treble and the mid and boom before you know it I was getting the most out of this sound bar. Also the price was not bad at all because I got it as part of the Black Friday deals.

Great sound and bass easy hook up with Arc but it lost a star because if I hook a device (PS5) or 4K apple tv through it HDR will not work... Over all great speaker for the price and the subwoofer is an awesome bonus

For the money, this is an excellent system. Setup was easy, connecting to my Samsung TV was straightforward and using it is simple. Setting up for use with my Fire TV Cube was also a breeze. The sound quality is great, especially compared to my old Sony system which was twice the price, and twice the wattage. However, unlike my Sony Soundbar, this system does not have an annoying menu that takes ages to load. All in all, for me, this downgrade in specs turned out to be an upgrade! Easier to use, and no difference at all in sound quality. No regrets at all.

A STEAL at $130!!! Excellent volume, sound quality, and overall solid product. I just bought this for Black Friday after deciding to buy the 300W LG model... I was disappointed and after hearing my buddy's samsung sound bar, I knew I had to return the LG. It wasn't even close which was better. Of course Dolby Atmos or Sonos enhanced ones sound much better overall, but this little sound bar here is a great product for less than 200 in my opinion. Id definitely recommend this to a friend looking for a quality sound bar and not breaking the bank. Super easy to set up too

Was easy to setup connected it is using the digital optical cable that came with it. Going through the HDMI I get some crackling not sure if it is from the xfinity box on the shows I watch or a bad connection I will have to figure it out but eh sound on this system for a small room is great and I love the sound output from Gaming on the playstation 5 with it. If you are on a budget and get these on sell I would recommend it for the price I paid.

For a "lower end" sound bar, this thing is amazing. Honestly, couldn't be happier with my purchase. And I ended up getting on sale for $120 which it seems is unheard of. Highly recommended under $200 price point.

The sound bar is easy to setup and has great sound. The wireless subwoofer connected to the sound bar automatically for me since the sound bar was powered on at the time. I liked the sound it produced so much that I bought a second one for my bedroom. I have had a few issues with the ARC system not showing the right volume as a TV. However, this can be fixed by simply turning the sound bar off and back on again.

Absolutely love this sound bar. Sound amazing and the added subwoofer really brings out the best tv. Love the fact that when I turn the tv on the sound bar turns on automatically (digital optical cable output is connected) and I programmed my cable remote to adjust the sound bar via the television, one less remote to use. Setting it up took no time at all For the price it’s a great value

These look very nice, and the sound is solid for the money. I was slightly disappointed in the sound volume compared to the sound bar I was replacing. I have the sub woofer turned all the way up to achieve the sound I wanted for TV/movies, and Its still a little lower than I would like. I dont use these for music, so I cant comment on that. The setup was absolutely a no brainer. However, the price on sale was very good, and the sound recreation is very good.

I replaced an older sound bar with this one and I have been quite pleased. I was getting tired of the cloth that was wrapping the soundbar as it attracted pet hair. The Samsung is much nicer and looks fantastic in my living room sitting underneath the television. Aesthetically the Samsung sits unobtrusive without calling much attention to it with the subwoofer allowed to be placed anywhere in the room. This allows for an extremely clean setup with minimal wires. The sound quality of the bar is superb. Producing a rich sound that delivers hard hitting bass and crisp highs. This was a purchase for my parents to upgrade there system, and while they may not have the best ear..or want...for the best audio quality, they mentioned how well this sounded over their previous bar. Installation was a breeze, utilizing ARC all you need is a single HDMI cord and a compatible TV. Samsung includes a wide range of default equalizer settings as well as you have the ability to fine tune it if you want. One of the things that I like and I was looking for was the lack of smart features. I fear that most high quality sound bars feature Alexa or some assistant on it that I just don't want or need. I was quite happy to find out this bar lacks any of those features and just cares about delivering quality audio. Another thing is that you can expand the home theater experience by purchasing the optional wireless rear speakers to envelope you with the sound Overall, I was quite pleased with the purchase and for the price I don't see much competition. It delivered a rich experience that is leaps and bounds about the TV Speakers and better than other bars in its price bracket.

I had been thinking about buying a soundbar for my basement TV but I was assuming I'd have issues with remote compatibility and stuff since the TV is from 2014ish. Then I ended up with a totally different need: we were getting ready for an outdoor movie party with a projector but the projector's speaker did not carry enough outside. I briefly researched soundbars, with my only two requirements being HDMI ARC compatibility (for ease of setup) and no wires to other speakers (again for ease of setting up outdoors). This soundbar fit the bill and was in stock at my local store for pickup. Outside, it changed our projector setup into a true movie theater experience! The sound was AMAZING. It suddenly felt like we had a drive-in theater in our backyard. And setup was super easy thanks to HDMI. Basically just plug it all in and make sure the inputs are correct. The subwoofer connected via Bluetooth pretty automatically (I pressed the sync button, the end). Then I repurposed it for the basement. Just plugged it all in and it worked. The sound is so much better now. And it automatically turns on and off with the tv and the tv remote automatically controls the volume on the soundbar thanks to more HDMI functionality. No juggling multiple remotes. Perfect!

Got this at a discount, but even if I didn't, I would still gladly purchase this at regular price. The wireless subwoofer cleared up so much space in my room, and even though it's small, it still sounds incredible. I love the bluetooth connectivity and the fact that it easily connects to my Samsung TV without much hassle.

I am super impressed with this sound setup! The woofer is larger than I thought, although that is why they have detailed specs before you order, and clearly was my oversight. I suppose I just overlooked it in the excitement of seeing a 290w HDMI ready soundbar for under $200 on black friday! That being said, I luckily have enough room for the woofer which leaves nothing but goodness for the addition to our samsung tv's stock sound. Just thought I would mention it is a bit taller than some woofers I have had in case space is tight where you plan to put this bad boy. For reference, I have a 5.1 Vizio surround system as well as a Vizio 2.0 soundbar elsewhere and generally have really been pleased with them. It wasn't until I tried out this Samsung 2.1 that I realized there was much better out there. There is a general fog/fuzziness to the Vizio's sound,no matter the tweaking I do with settings and equalizer, compared to the more crisp sound Samsung's produces in comparison. The woofer really kicks when you play the right stuff, and will be a pleasant addition when more at bay during down times. Couldn't be happier especially for the price, thanks!

Does What I Hoped, More Than Expected

I gave 5 stars as it does more than expected at reasonable price. Connecting system to TCL TV through HDMI (ARC) was simple and without issue following provided instructions. I read some negative reviews concerning staying connected issues but following a few adjustments to TV settings there have been no issues. The system turns off and on automatically with TV and volume is controlled through use of cable box remote control. The system goes on standby if no signal received for a time period and when searching Wi-Fi with no sound sometimes fails to return when sound resumes. Simply turning system or TV off and back on puts everything back in sync. As for sound I assume audiophiles and those looking for wall shaking, window rattling bass are not looking for systems in this class and price range. I simply wanted to supplement pitiful TV speakers with sound that resembles original recording and so far this system surpasses my expectations. Out of the box I thought the bass a tad booming and adjusted 'Bass -1 and Treble +5' the later due more to hearing lost to jet engines and rock & roll than the system.
