The Black Friday discount made this all the better. Setup takes less than half an hour and you get wonderful surround sound for a budget. We use with our Samsung TV and are able to control the volume with one remote which is very helpful.

The only tricky part is the volume and sub controls. To usevtem push in a North to South direction,not down. This bit of info isnt included in any of the product literature or instructions.

The sound is good! It doesnt have an HDMI outlet which I freaked about for a millisecond. Then I realized my TV is new enough for a fiberoptic outlet.

Set up was easy, no more than 20 minutes. The subwoofer connects via bluetooth so that was sweet. All in all a great deal.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-A430 Soundbar. As long as your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable or HDMI via ARC, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
1. Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
2. Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
By default, Samsung TV remotes should be able to control Samsung soundbars. If it isn't working, be sure the soundbar is powered on, and then press and hold the WOOFER button up until "ON - TV REMOTE" appears on the display (about 5 seconds). Next, you'll need to choose between connecting with an optical cable or an HDMI cable.

I gave them a Samsung TV a year or so ago (from Best Buy) and now it was time to upgrade from the tinny tiny speakers. Stock audio was insufficient enough that my wife, who watch her grandchildre there) complained about it. No more complaints! None! They are all very pleased and that is exactly what a gift should do. Make someone happy! It was soooo easy to install that they really didn't need me but I am happy to help out! Highly recommended? Without hesitation! Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'!
