The only thing I don't like is when I turn on the TV it automatically turns on the soundbar. I don't like using it all the time, so it gets annoying turning it off.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the auto power on feature of the HW-A430 Soundbar. You are able to power this off by following the below directions.
Set the soundbar to D.IN mode by pressing Source on the remote or soundbar.
Note: On 2020 (T models) and later, set the source to BT Ready.
Press and hold the left direction on the direction pad on the remote for more than 5 seconds or until Auto Power Link appears on the soundbar display to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link.
Note: Auto Power Link only works with an optical connection, and should be turned on by default.

Wish i had a samsung tv for better remote control integration but still a good purchase.

My first soundbar

My previous experience with external sound was an old 5 speaker surround sound system. This soundbar is way better than the built in speakers on my TV. I was able to link it to my TV without much trouble and it will rumble the living room, much to my dog's dismay. The first day we had it on while watching a movie, ever little rumble caused him to jump up and run to the door barking because he thought we had company. I can't imaging watching anything on my TV without this now.

Premium Soundbar w/sub

Sounds like a decent unit, again, I do not have any experience to make a fair comparison. The big disappointment for me was that the installers did not offer to combine both the TV and Soundbar remotes into one unit. Meaning I have to operate 2 remotes which we all know are aggravating. I brought the topic up to the guys from Tech and they said too late that he already closed my order. Disappointed I am for sure and the very reason I'm including this comment so in case someone else reads my Review, maybe I will have helped them to be certain that they don't make my mistake. One remote is more than enough for a guy like me to control lol. Thx

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-A430 Soundbar. I am sorry that your initial setup has not lived up to your expectations.
Follow these instructions below to sync your TV remote to your soundbar.
This can only be used with IR remote controls, Bluetooth remote controls are not support (remotes that are require pairing).
Set the TV speaker to External Speaker to use a third party remote with your soundbar.
Be aware that not all manufactures support this feature.
1. Turn Off the Soundbar.
2. Push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds.
Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the
following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”.

We just happened to see this one was on sale for $149. And then we found an open box one for $129. For the price it can't be beat! The sound quality is crisp and clear and having a Samsung TV it was easy to setup and connect. After one month we are very happy with our purchase.
