The lag is killing me

The sound lags, even with the optic cable, so the audio doesn’t sync up with the screen. On things where looking at the mouths aren’t a big deal it’s a good sound, but anything else, I just turn it off. I’d return it, but it’s already mounted on my wall.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-A430 Soundbar. Your experience with a lip sync / voice delay is important to us and will be shared with our product teams. If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, select SYNC in SOUND CONTROL (looks like a gear), and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.

Sadly, my TV can't control the soundbar with remote (not even with a direct digital audio connection). The sound bar volume on the native remote control does not work: spent 2 hours with Samsung tech support (the even connected to my TV remotely) and the only way to control the sound bar volume was to physically push the button. The tech concluded that the remote was likely defective. Samsung will replace free of charge but it takes 10 to 20 days to ship. I will simply return to best buy. The sound was pretty good for the price range but not being able to control the TV volume via remote is a deal breaker for me. Not HDMI capable by the way. No problem with streaming audio from my phone (including volume control) via blue tooth.
