TV sound bar

I wish the dialog audio came through better. I was told when I was buying it that it was good for dialog audio but sadly it is not. Still a good buy the sound fill the room nicely.

Black Friday Disappointment

Purchased for a present for my mom for Christmas. I decided to it hooked it up to my Samsung TV and watch a movie. Like other reviews I noticed ninimal difference in sound volume from 50 to 100. My TV is louder than the soundbar, the subwoofer is pathetic. I tested connecting using Bluetooth and the sound volume was noticeably louder than using the included optical cable but using Bluetooth can notice a lag when people are speaking. I couldn't get my 3rd party optical cable to connect into the soundbar without it falling out but the included cable snaps in perfectly. When connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung TV I was able to control volume using my TV remote. This to me is just a cheap Bluetooth speaker, I'd never pay full price for it. My JBL Extreme 2 Bluetooth speaker blows this thing out the water.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-A430 Soundbar and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help with the overall sound performance.
On a Samsung TV this can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality. If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
