The bass sounds great, and the dialogue is crisp and clear. It is a very noticeable improvement on the built-in TV speakers, which makes watching movies with the family more of an immersive and enjoyable experience. The wireless woofer if a very much appreciated feature. I've used the bluetooth input with my phone and I had no issues.

Piece of Junk Samsung product loses my business!

Removing the back was impossible to do as it was attended to be done. I had to return to the store and have an employee show Me how to remove the back sliding panel to put in the batteries. You have to make a tape tab and pull the tab or the back plate on the remote cannot be removed. The employees figured out how to remove the panel. The remote is also hard to use for the volume. I will never purchase another piece of Samsung junk until they work out their difficulties with their engineering. Also the employees were not the friendliest sort. I'm sorry that Samsung has become such garbage and even sorrier that Best Buy Employees are not any friendlier with their customer service. I will be replacing 4 Samsung products and will not be buying them from Best Buy!

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-A430 Soundbar and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help improve the overall sound performance.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality. If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
