There was too much nudity that we felt uncomfortable with on TV with our children. We have had a Television, but only to watch the movies we chose. Now, the addition of this soundbar provides us with amazing sound for the set we just bought. I think if just might be worth it.

I got another brand and it was ok but lacked features and settings. This one can’t be beat for the price. Great quality of materials, super easy to set up, if you have arc you can use your tv remote and the volume goes actually one by one not like other brands. It has several settings but I always keep it on virtual x. The subwoofer could be a little punchier though. Other than that? Plug and play with great volume.

We ended up using optical cord for our wired surround sound that had a messed up optical cord, so we are using the bluetooth feature for this soundbar. Sometimes it shows as paired, but the sound doesnt come out. When that happens we have to either turn off and turn back on or unplug qnd replug. If this wasnt a multiple occurance, I would had rated higher.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T550 and for your review. I am very sorry you are occasionally not hearing any sound from your soundbar. You may want to check that the cable connection is not loose. Remove the cable and connect again.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar again by pressing the - + (volume) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT” appears on the display when the soundbar is initialized.
Please also make sure that you have the latest firmware update (ver 1002.0). You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device.

For under $300 maybe even $350 this is the best sounding soundbar you can get for tv, movies and music. Ps: Changing the sound mode makes a huge difference, the DTS Virtual mode got the best clarity.

Amazing sound!

I bought it to replace the sound of a new TV that had horrible speakers. I wanted it to be able to drown out the sound of my noisey upstairs neighbors. It not only got the job done but it gave them a little taste of their own medicine. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase!

I shopped based on the specs and ordered for curbside pick-up. That was so easy and when I got it home and hooked it up - very easily by the way - I was very pleased with the sound quality and styling of the unit and subwoofer. I use for all of my TV viewing and it makes the experience so much more immersive and enjoyable.

Remote Complaint

Even though Samsung sent a new romote-still could not open it. Once it was hooked up -happy Geek Squad could let my remote control sound bar. Did not need the remote that I/family could not open. Wanted to rid myself of that remote.
