I had a six year old Samsung soundbar, the J550 that would only turn itself on sporadically when I upgraded to a new tv a couple of months ago. I worked with Samsung tech support, and it would power on via Blue Tooth sometimes. I kind of thought perhaps it was a difference in the five year old bios; so when this T550 went on sale a year end, I bought it hoping for the best. It works PERFECTLY via Blue Tooth with the newer Samsung tv; and sounds even better than the old J550. My living room is 25 feet long by about 15 feet wide, and it fills the room with great sound and bass (once I bumped up the sub woofer's sound and the bass setting). Best Buy delivered it to my house a few days after ordering in perfect condition. I am VERY happy with Best Buy AND the sound bar. I used the old J550 sound bar out in our family room with our older Samsung and it's still working great.

Replaced a Sony soundbar that stopped working after 5 days with this soundbar. Definitely a better choice, would recommend this for the price. The sound is clear and the bass is better than most in this price range. Its easy to hook-up and has several different sound settings. Works best on smart or DTS Virtual. The remote could be better but it serves the purpose. Very happy with this soundbar, hopefully it'll keep working.

Sounds great. Essy setup. Two cords, set the change on my tv n it works with my tv power. Awesome add-on.

So, I am a best quality for the price nerd. I will look at Consumer Reports, independent reviews not associated with any bigger ticket item I’m considering purchasing, and any other information I can find, BEFORE I will even think about buying the product. This sound bar was a breeze to set it up with our new Samsung tv. We are by far not techie at all. I highly recommend using the optical cable that comes with it. It took us about 4 days after purchasing it before we realized we weren’t getting the best sound. So initially, I was disappointed, especially after all the research I had done. Shoot, the second we used the cable, my dog started barking at the tv because the sound was amazing!!! Buy this; you won’t be disappointed. And no, I didn’t receive any free products, extra discounts for writing this review, etc. There are 3 in this series, the 450, 550 (which is the one we got), and the 650. We ALMOST got the 450 but after reading all the pros and cons, we went with what we got as the Samsung tv we got from Best Buy was new, and we felt the 550 was the best. You won’t go wrong with this!!

Setup was straightforward and easy. Instructions were very clear. Up and running quickly. Sound is excellent. Only negative was the remote which came with the unit. I found it nearly impossible to access the battery compartment for the remote. Felt like I was going to break it and never opened it the way the instructions indicated.

I’ve owned this for close to a year now. This is a great soundbar for the price. It has several different modes to choose from to suit different applications. The sub is actually very good even while set at lower volumes. It isn’t as good as other cheaper systems such as the vizio in this class because I’ve found that with this one the bass is just always there but the vizio is capable of detecting when deeper and more prominent bass is needed. I’ve also found that you can get a LOT of lag especially in certain streaming services which can be incredibly obnoxious when peoples lips on the screen aren’t matching the audio. There is a setting to adjust the audio delay but that by itself turned me off and says that they knew this would be a common problem. Also do not get suckered into buying the rear speakers for this system, they’re absolute garbage and don’t change the experience at all as you can’t ever hear them. Overall it’s good for the price and a great little soundbar for general use.

The sound on this product is excellent! Like a movie theater! This is one of the few models that can be purchased with rear surround speakers. If you want the best sound from the the sound bar, i recommend using another optical cable (not the one that it comes with) I am using a rocket fish optical cable and it only cost $20 at Best Buy! This sound bar works well with my AT&T tv box and I also stream with my wife’s IPad. Sound is very loud & clear. If you have a Samsung TV, it’s a bonus! This is a great product and easy to set up and pairs well with any tv. For the sound setting, I recommend smart setting which can adjust to any kind of program. Looking forward to getting the rear speakers in the future.

We bought a Samsung 55" QLED TV recently and began looking at dedicated soundbars. We had an older Vizio soundbar that worked fine, but was a 5.1 and much more than we really needed. This soundbar was on sale and after some research, we decided to purchase it. Set up was easy and we like the ease of changing sound sources to fit what we're watching. The soundbar remote looks very similar to the TV remote, but works fine. In fact, we can largely use the TV remote to control both devices. The slim profile means it fits under the TV. Sound is very good and suits our vaulted living room and our lifestyle very well. (We're not into thumping bass.)

This sound-bar system is excellent for my needs. I have it set up in my bedroom which is a medium size in terms of bedroom space and this sound-bar is perfect. It was very easy to set up and really upped my 43” Samsung 4K tv speakers. Before i had to turn up my tv to high numbers just to hear certain YouTube videos and tv shows but now with sound-bar i have no problem hearing anything! I also like that i can either set up the sound-bar with bluetooth or through cable connecting to the tv(which i choose out of the two options). Overall i am very satisfied with my purchase.

I live in an apartment so I didn’t need anything crazy loud. But geez this thing can get loud! And the bass is amazing!!!! I love how it’s adjustable. At night I put the bass on the lowest (-12) so I do not disturb anyone. During the day when I watch a movie, just putting the bass at 0, it sounds like a movie theater!!!!! The set up was easy! I had Bluetooth, so I quickly connected to my phone and I get yo blast my music now (w/o having the tv on). 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Given, the item has it's quirks, but that's on the side of the manufacturer and not BestBuy. But overall. for the amount of money I spent on it, it was an tremendous deal!

Definitely do not be fooled when they show you this one compared to the T650. For some reason inside the store this sound bar was very low and definitely wasn't as loud as the T650. The t650 was out of my price range and after some thorough research, I left with the T550. After installation and sound test I was not disappointed. This sound bar sounded way different from the ones they have at the store (probably all banged up). Go with your guts and get this one if you don't want to spend too much on a sound bar.

I wasn't expecting much. I just wanted something that will help with the volume on my TV. Before this, I bought a "bigger" sound bar but wasn't really impressed with the performance. So when I got this one, I wasn't expecting much, BUT I was very pleased. It's smaller than the previous one I got, but it sounds way better. I only go to level 25 (out of 100) and it's sufficiently loud. The bass may not be as powerful, but it's there and the thump can be felt real well. The set up and connection was less than 5 minutes. I just connected it to the HDMI-ARC on my Samsung TV - and that's it. I'm glad I bought this one.

I bought this when the price of this soundbar was $199 during Black Friday. The setup is pretty straightforward. There are hidden functions to further adjust audio levels to your liking. The subwoofer definitely fills the room but I do wish hit harder at some of the higher low-end frequencies. I would recommend updating the firmware on this soundbar once you have it unpacked and setup . The DTS Virtual: X sound mode is a little hit and miss. Seems to be great for live sporting events but for movies, the wide range it tries to emulate comes off as harsh to your ears.

Easy to set up with Samsung Television. Works great with Bluetooth, only drawback one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Great value even tho.

So far so good! Got this on sale for $220 and I’m very impressed with the sound especially for the price. I’m not a fan of the Samsung Q60 65” that I bought and returned for a Sony x900h 65” but I love Samsung products and I got this for my Sony tv and glad that I made that choice. The different sound modes are great especially DTS,Smart,and Surround. The bass is amazing and had to actually turn it down a little which is always a good sign knowing that it packs a punch. So far so good though,

It’s been almost 3 years that I bought it and still working the same. Amazing, good sound. I love it.

We could not hear anything on our TV. This sound bar has great sound. We can hear people talking now. The bass is great. It is worth the price.

I paired this with my Samsung Q60T. Price was right. Setup was a snap, and the sound quality is excellent. Couldn’t be happier.

This soundbar has been exactly as expected, It's not a top of the line system, but it wasn't a ton of money either. The sound is great, it was easy to setup and has been working fine for about a month now. It did come with some nice brackets too for mounting on a wall. I did not use them as I built a shelf above my TV and put it on that instead. But the brackets look nice and they'd be easy to use too.
