The sound is good and good base, so for the size and sale price I would buy again, but for the regular price I would have returned it for sure.

I’m not a sound expert and needed to help the bottom facing speakers on the tv so I could hear without having the volume bothering the neighbors. This system did the trick.

I had a surround sound for years however, my reciever bit the dust so I decided to try. I am very pleased with this purchase. Very loud with great sound!! Love the DTX. Also, no more dealing with speaker wires. If looking for a change I recommend.

It is not a huge difference, but enough that I can hear some dialogue I never heard before. Again, it is not a dramatic difference, in speaking or music. but is good. It is our first sound bar, so cant compare it to other brands.

Do you like movies, music, YouTube? This sound bar is definitely for you. It packs punchy, powerful bass and great highs and mids. You won’t regret your purchase, worse every dime.

The rear speakers are a joke and has to be a cheap way of having a surround sound. It’s around 1k and still princely but if you want a system then don’t buy this because it’s a waste of money.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-T550 Soundbar and the compatible rear speakers. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Budget Friendly Sound Bar

It has HDMI and digital input. I am using HDMI input (TV ARC) so I don't have to use two remotes. This is one of the best 360W soundbar. Don't use it as a bookshelf speaker.

The unit comes alive during movies with advanced sound and has a low base sound which is toned down when watching most normal TV.

I have a Samsung with excellent picture quality but I would have to turn the volume to a minimum of 20 to actually hear at a decent level. Those days are over. I definitely recommend this sound bar.

Seamless pairing via HDMI. Very natural "no worries" sound.

Easy to install, works great. Makes movies in your house feel like you are in a Movie Theater, especially movies like the Hobbit and ones with a lot of action noise

When I purchased the new TV, the technician could not sync the old sound bar auto the new TV, so I purchased the HW-T550model. It’s perfect and the sound is so much better.

It is my go to audio for everyday use, for cinema mode, for family game nights! The subwoofer is a little dull but does what it can for the price!

Written directions for connecting the subwoofer wirelessly are confusing even for someone tech savvy. Needs a light or something to indicate it’s connected. Works seamlessly with ARC2 connection to our 65” Samsung TV.

The subwoofer connected immediately once plugged in and it delivers rich bass. The sound is crystal clear as well but i found it works best on dts virtual. 100% recommend.

And I think the VIZIO was a better purchase and cheaper. this product was about 30 more than the same 2.1 VIZIO. I figured I would try this Samsung and it is good but I would go purchase another VIZIO

The sound quality was excellent, almost as if you were sitting in the movie theater. If I would have waited for Black Friday I would have found it cheaper but overall pleased with the purchase.

A bit tricky to get the subwoofer tied-in with the soundbar, had to call Samsung, but their customer service was outstanding and it works perfectly and sounds great!
