Also new to Samsung computer systems, as I always used VAIO in the past. So far I'm happy with my purchase, I will update in a few months. I hope Samsung wont disappoint me.

No problems whatsoever with this laptop. Samsung never disappoints with most of their tech, and this laptop is no slouch. Its been able to hand whatever I throw at it, including heavy video processing. The touch screen is responsive, the entire OS as a whole is responsive, even with Samsung software ingrained. It's nice if you have a Samsung phone, you can sync texts, photos, etc without an issue. One thing I'd recommend is swapping the HDD out with an SSD. You will notice a VAST difference. I boot to windows in 3 seconds from a cold startup.

I have been using this laptop for about 4 months now, and I am incredibly pleased with it. The screen is clear and bright, and I find myself using the touchscreen much more than the mouse during casual use (web browsing, Spotify selection, etc). However the touch pad is quite nice to use. I actually like the short travel on the keyboard. It's very similar to my Surface Pro Type Cover. Others may require some time to get used to it. I love and make use of it's many ports. HDMI output is seamless and simple, and a hot key combo puts a touch menu on the screen that allows quick selection of screen mirroring, extension, or turning off either display...a feature I find convenient when I watch movies on a projector. The laptop makes little noise. Even when being stressed I don't notice any fan noise. I have also not noticed any considerable heat from the bottom....although I seldom use it on my lap. I did add an m.2 SSD to the extra port to go along with the hard drive. That obviously made a significant speed boost. With the SSD my boot times are under 20 seconds including typing in my login password. My only complaint would be the bios. It lacks most features I would expect to see in a premium device. Other than that I really do love this laptop, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a capable machine for productivity, creation, and light gaming.

I went to purchase a Dell 15" laptop and comparing side by side this model was $50.00 less and specs offered much more. The only thing lacking was the SSD but that was not a deal breaker for me. The functional and required 10 key was and so I went with this Samsung. Fast and efficient! Crisp, clear screen. Tons of storage. Purchased for work and as always Samsung comes through.

I am currently working on an advanced degree. This computer is fast and can handle the statistical program that I have to use. The touch is great and tablet mode is awesome. I purchased a stylus so that I can use the Windows Pen feature and it is amazing (Bamboo Ink will not work so be forewarned). Highly recommend!!!

This is my second Samsung laptop and it doesn't disappoint. For the price (sub $1K) it's hard to get a laptop with comparable specs. The computer is fast, multitasks well and does everything I can throw at it. I have another laptop that uses only the graphics processor on the motherboard, and having a dedicated graphics card is absolutely a must. While I wish it had an SSD, that is something that can be upgraded in the future. The previous Samsung laptop lasted 7 years and has only been retired due to a lack of driver support due to it's age. I have high hopes for this one.

Got this on an "open box" discount off bestbuys website. Paid about half or original retail price. Its a great laptop especially at that price. The 1tb hd is big enough but sometimes it lags at booting. The build quality is great except the keys are a little loud and have a little more travel than I personally prefer. I didnt know how much I would care about the hinge that allows you to fold the screen all the way back. Its a little too bulky and awkward to fold back all the way and use like a tablet. However its great for reading because you have alot of space. And its great to fold and watch movies.

Fast, Long battery life, Love the touch screen, Really really really like the keyboard. Also like how the back lit keyboard shines through the letters on the keys.

Has the speed, clarity, and storage I needed. And the light up keyboard works great!

Overall performance of this laptop is very good. The only con I have is that the Hard Drive really bogs the system down on initial startup, but after the system is up and running you don't really notice it too much. It plays games well. It is obviously not a gaming laptop, but it certainly has the ability to play them (I have played project cars on medium to medium-high graphics with rain turned on with decent FPS). I bought it primarily for writing code, which it does great! The screen is very clear, the asthetics of the buttons feels and looks great (kind of reminds me of a macbook in appearance). The only flaw i have noticed is "one" of the keys seems to stick a little if i don't press it down from the center. One last thing to note. The laptop is heavy. The top is aluminum and the bottom i believe is plastic. Overall its a really good laptop if you get it on sale.

A lot to love about this laptop. Touch Screen; 2 in 1; backlit option; Great Price for the memory, processor, hard drive. Does not have a dvd player, but most do not these days, Numeric Keys on Side; Great Resolution; Great Size - thin, light weight, Good Size Screen, All the slots I need for being a techie. Drawbacks - 1. Function Keys are not like most laptops (has an always on FN key as well which I do like). This is OK. 2. Sound. Even on the loudest it is not loud enough for me to watch a movie or YouTube without earphones. I was surprised the sound was not louder even on the loudest setting. If you are buying for web chatting, movies, etc. you will probably want to use your earphones. For this reason I could not recommend it to a friend since sound is very impt.. It deserves a "4" - but the sound could be a drawback for most people.

Great computer for all purposes. I got it a few months ago, and have since used it for gaming, school, and anything else I need it for. I like it because it is very portable, and the touchscreen is used so much that when I use a computer without one, I look like an idiot because I keep tapping the monitor. overall, great computer.

I purchased this laptop after needing to return a Lenovo Yoga TWICE for a squeaky space bar and lagging when using FreshPaint. I purchased this laptop on sale, so for $100 more I got 4 more gigs of ram, 3/4 more of a terabyte of storage, a graphics card, and a numeric keypad (which I use a lot). My only sadness is that there are no cute colorful silicone keyboard covers for it yet. Samsung (or BestBuy), please get on that :) The keyboard is comfortable, the screen is gorgeous, the speed is great. I have no complaints about this laptop. My poor husband is getting jealous of how often I tell him how much I love this laptop!

Computer is fast and display is excellent. I have problems with the mouse as the pointer jumps around once in awhile which is annoying. Otherwise, this is excellent for the price.

This computer fits my needs perfectly! It performs all of the tasks I need it to do... and quickly! It was on sale in a Friday, not on Tuesday when I decided to buy but on sale again a week later. Best Buy Customer Service Rep quickly honored my request for the sale price as per their policy so I got a great computer with an even better deal!

My son does some light to medium video editing with this machine. Coming from a MacBook Pro 2011 this is a good upgrade. The newer Adobe lightroom and such were not recognizing the discrete graphics in the MacBook but it does recognize the Nvidia here. The other goodness is that on this one I added an m2 drive so that the machine boots from that and uses the 1Tb drive more for archive. Big difference in performance after that. All in all, a good deal (open box) and a good laptop. Should last him a few years.

I held off buying a laptop for so long, but when my desktop had a catastrophic hard drive failure on BOTH drives, that was it for me. I looked online at a few places, other than Best Buy, and my son suggested I look there before I made any decision. When I went to the website, I found this one, and the next one down from it. I wanted the cheaper one, but after a visit to the local store, i wasnt really sure i wanted to do it. But when I saw they both went on sale a couple days later, I went to the store. The sales associates were fantastic! I had talked to a few before I actually made my purchase. Those associates were oh so correct..... this computer is great! It took a bit of getting used to it, as my only real experience on a computer was a desktop, but the transition was smooth. It's easy to use, easy to store and carry, the Bluetooth feature was easy to setup, once I paid attention to the instructions. I would buy it again, if I needed another!

I bought this laptop on Black Friday sale, and so far it’s been great. Light weight, touch screen is awesome, great for social networking, watching movies and using Microsoft.
