This new fridge looks great and runs as expected after 1 week. Shipping and delivery was a good experience. My only complaint would be the odd shaped (and therefore not very useful) door shelves and compartments due to the ice-maker, but I was aware of that issue prior to ordering. Doesn't seem to make a lot of ice and there seems to be no way to see how much ice there is, create more or store extra. Black stainless steel looks even darker that in the store.

Very good product very quiet and the gallon storage in the door is great for my son's milk. The option of converting the bottom freezer to a fridge is a forward thinking concept and one I love. The draw backs to the product are the door storage on the upper left, completely useless entirely too small to be used for anything. The only other issue I have is the amount of useful storage space. Because our home has a counter depth place for the fridge we loose alot of storage compared to our old amani which also fit in the space but offered 32 cu ft of refridge space compared to the 22 cu ft of the Samsung. All in all it has been a good product in the short time that we have had it.

We decided it was time for an upgrade and purchased a refrigerator, range, and dish washer. The refrigerator is a nice looking appliance. It's pretty large. It’s a 4 door refrigerator and a nice feature is you can choose the bottom right hand side as either a refrigerator or a freezer. Since we have 2 other freezers, we chose to use it as a refrigerator. There is quite a bit of room in this appliance as well. I am, however, amazed at how LOUD it is. I can be in the living room and hear it plainly. With the amount of money we spent on this thing, I would have expected it to be quieter than the 20+ one we got rid of but no. The water and ice in the door was something I was used to and wanted again. The water is filtered and changing the filter is a breeze as its right up front where it is accessible. I don’t know if other refrigerators are like this but it is very s l o w when it comes to dispensing ice. Perhaps I don’t have the patience I used to have but it seems to take forever to fill a normal sized water glass. Other than it being loud and slow to dispense ice, I like the fridge.

Pros: large capacity in easy-to-use four sections, flex lower right compartment can be a refrigerator or freezer section, although finish is not fingerprint resistant, there are fewer fingerprints with the no-handle design and it easily cleans up with a dab of water on a microfiber rag. Cons: We had to pull our cabinet over the refrigerator, cut it down because we lacked 1/8" of clearance, have to pull the unit out from the cabinets several inches to open the doors all the way, so the refrigerator sticks out farther than the one it replaces, the shelves on the upper left side are so narrow at one point as to be virtually unusable. Overall, I'd order this again in a heartbeat.

We’ve had the old school top freezer and the side by side. We wanted more space. The French doors are great and the 4 doors are a cool thing. Freezer space isn’t the greatest but doesn’t allow you to over fill and forget about things. All four doors doesn’t have a lot of shelf door space. The option to turn the 4th door into a fridge or freezer is nice but we’ve only used it for a freezer. Last thing is the ice maker compartment doesn’t hold a lot of ice. So if it’s a hot day and you have a small amount of guests over you’ll run out of ice.

So far in the few months using the counter depth model we are extremely happy with this fridge. The ice maker works great and produces plenty of ice (does take a day or so when you first plug it in to start making and filling ice as per directions.) Plenty of space inside for our needs and love the option to convert one side for freeze or fridge! Very quiet refrigerator as well. Could not be happier with the finish on the outside - looks so sleek and is super easy to keep clean too. After doing much research, we are pleased we decided on this Samsung!!

This refrigerator has a very unique look to it and is perfect for a space saver since it has hidden door handles. The system is very quiet including the ice maker. The 4 doors are very convenient and allows for additional refrigerator space, especially if you have another freezer available.

    Beautiful, Well Designed Fridge

This review is mostly for usability/function and appearance. We have only had this fridge for a month, so durability/wear and longevity have not yet been tested. This is a beautiful fridge was a nice finish (Black stainless). No problems so far with scratches or fingerprints, but we also have stopped putting magnets on our fridge because we are afraid of the potential damage to the finish. The LED lights are nice looking, the display is elegant, and overall, its a very spiffy looking fridge. The side by side freezer design is very nice and convenient. It's a lot easier finding items in the freezer (compared to the drawer designed). The convertible 4th compartment is a nice convenience (but we haven't changed it to function other than a freezer so far). Ice cubes are a little on the small side. We did lose a little storage space going to this fridge from our previous side-by-side fridge. But the French door design is great! The storage on the left door is a little small (to make space for the ice machine), but there is still plenty of shelving and door space for our family. I read reviews complaining about the gurgling/bubbling noise. The fridge does gurgle at times, but it is not loud. It doesn't both us. Overall, I'm very happy with our purchase.

    Best Fridge Layout Available

After extensive research for counter depth fridges, of all layout designs, I decided on this model. It seem to have the best reviews with the least amount of reoccurring identical issues. I have to say that I love it. This is the best fridge I have owned or used so far (barring future failure). Props to Best Buy for price matching. It saved me enough to cover the extended warranty just in case. After using this fridge for a couple of months, I do believe this layout will replace the french door layout. It is much easier to see all of your freezer foods and keeps them separated vs the one large pull out drawer. Great internal layout. The open top section has more usable space and it considerably wider than a side by side. Can fit a LOT more food in the freezer section due the drawers layout vs the standard shelving. I have seen review complaints about the small door section under the ice maker. I use it for butter and leftover fast food condiments. The other door shelves are large and very adequate for small to large condiments, drinks, ect. Awesome interior lighting. For anyone with a secondary deep freeze, the third zone (lower right freezer section) can be used as a fridge and would be a major bonus. The fridge has a beautiful exterior design and I have received multiple compliments on it's looks. Cons: Small ice maker bin. Slightly more expensive than other fridges in it's class. Note: I have not owned a french door layout fridge but have used several at other peoples houses. My research for purchasing started with online reviews of reliability and reoccurring product failure for specific models. Using the review information I went to the store for a hands-on personal review of the layouts, looks, ect. Personal Opinion: I have read review from all model fridges of customers saying that they were dead on arrival and/or never cooled to proper temp from the beginning. I think a lot appliance and electronic damage happens during delivery. There are so many electronics and fragile internal parts that can be damaged if they are not careful. I also think people fill the new fridge before it cools to specified temperature which stresses the compressor and other electronics. The men that delivered my fridge were very professional and careful when delivering.

We really like our new black stainless steel Samsung refrigerator. It's great as it does not show smudge marks and the four doors makes it easier to access all our items. The third compartment can be changed to four different settings (i.e. refrigerator, freezer, chill, soft freezer) to accommodate our needs. The ice maker doesn't make as much ice as our other machine.

First, this refrigerator is almost like a work of art it looks so good. I know that sounds a little crazy for a refrigerator but it really looks very nice. So far it's working very well. One of the cool things about it is the flex zone, which is the bottom right hand compartment can be a freezer or refrigerator. We don't freeze a lot of things and it's nice to get extra refrigerator space as this is a counter depth model. The shelves are very nice and are easily adjusted. When you get a cabinet depth french door refrigerator, the ice maker is in the refrigerator section and it's space is limited so it doesn't hold a lot of ice. I knew that going in so it's no problem for me, but if you have a large family, the ice maker may have trouble keeping up. My last refrigerator was a Samsung and I had a lot of issues with it, so I can't comment on the reliability of this one yet, but I'm very happy with it so far. If you want a cabinet depth French door refrigerator, this is definitely one to consider.

I love the sleek design of the doors on this refrigerator. I also love the fact that I can convert a quarter of the freezer compartment to a refrigerator. I have freezer so this serves me well. The counter depth takes away for the amount of storage in the doors but having the convertible space makes up for this. The ice maker also takes up some space. I do wish that there was a meat drawer. I also wish it had a light over the ice and water dispenser. These are small things and I like the look of the refrigerator enough to make up for these small inconveniences. It works great, looks great and I can say I would definitely recommend it.

Was apprehensive about this purchase after reading other reviews concerning "bubbling" sounds but decided to pull the trigger anyway because of the unique 4 door design. It does in fact make "bubbling" sounds which really annoyed me at first, however, I hardly notice it now after owning it for a few months. Was also surprised as to how spacious it is compared to my previous 26cu ft fridge that it replaced. Did not rate 5 stars because the ice making process is somewhat counterintuitive and the ice chute always leaves ice chips behind (even when cubed ice is selected) that causes water drops in the tray area.

I did a lot of research about counter depth refrigerators. After 1 month of use, I am truly impressed with the quality and worksmanship of this Samsung - 22.5 Cu. Ft. 4-Door Flex French Door Refrigerator. It is spacious and well designed to accommodate all my family needs. My wife is totally happy with the unit. The flex compartment is a brilliant idea and very useful. The icemaker works great and the water dispenser work perfect. No ice on floor or drips on floor or tray. Very Nice! Well lit on the inside so I can see all items stored. Leaves virtually no fingerprints on doors. Also no door handles! Now I hope the unit operates this way for many years to come!

Good counter depth refrigerator, with some issues

Counter depth refrigerators are, by their nature, limited in usable space. This refrigerator provides more usable space than most counter depth refrigerators, but could still do better. In particular, some of the door shelves on the left refrigerator door are too narrow to be usable. The middle shelf of the refrigerator retracts to permit larger size bottles to be placed on the lower shelf, however, the retraction mechanism takes away about an inch of usable height on the lower shelf. Vegetable bins are also a bit sparse. Otherwise, operation of the refrigerator is excellent, and the multiple freezer compartments make access locating frozen foods simple The concept of having one compartment convertible between a refrigerator and freezer sounds like a good idea, but in practice, if used for refrigeration, would provide extremely little freezer space and thus is not practicable for most people.

In our old refrigerator food would get lost in the back of the shelves and turn bad. In this counter depth unit we can always see what we have; it doesn't get lost. Having the four doors allows easy division of foods. Plus the "no fingerprint" finish is fantastic.

This refrigerator has lot's space for a counter depth. Especially if you convert the bottom right panel to normal refrigerator space too. The interiors are well lit and it is easy to see what's inside. You can fit one gallon containers in the right doors. Some other things that I have noticed. It is very quite. I barely hear it when standing next to it. The doors themselves seem to be fingerprint resistant. But the steel hand holds are slightly more prone to them. You cannot stick magnets to the doors but you can stick them to the sides. The two doors on the top have an annoying bounce to them and require some effort close. No such issue with the bottom two doors. The power cool feature is really convenient. It got our refrigerator to the correct temperature in around 2 hours after installing it.
