Apparently the twin cooling system has known problems, yet it is still on the market. We continually have to take the entire fridge apart, including the ice maker and back panel to unfrost the ice. If we do not do this in enough time the fan will stop working, making the fridge get hot. Save yourself the headache, do not purchase this model!

I'm sorry to hear you aren't impressed with your RF23HCEDBSR, but perhaps these tips will help to improve your experience. I'm not sure what you mean by the ice maker "struggles" when releasing cubes, but if it's producing less than the 5.9 lbs of ice per day that it's capable of, it may help to review the user manual and online troubleshooting guide that can be found on Samsung's website. Keep in mind the Refrigerator shelves can be adjusted, so perhaps moving/adjusting them will help to better utilize the space based on your storage needs. Finally, the doors and drawer front are indeed metal - it's real stainless steel and should be cleaned using a stainless steel cleaner.

Also, the freezer defrosted, I emptied it and a few hours later, it went on. I would not recommend this to a friend.
