Dont buy from BestBuy

They rescheduled and still couldnt install because a part is missing. So someone has to fix the missing piece then we can schedule an install. That fridge will be sitting in my garage for 3 weeks before we can use it. Buy somewhere else.

Ice maker sucks

It freezes over more the longer you have it. I have put it in defrost mode sometimes all day, taking over my whole weekend. We ended buying a counter top ice maker.

After owning for 5 months, I HATE this fridge!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish I could go back and un-buy this for so many reasons. 1. THE ICEMAKER/WATER DISPENSER. It is IMPOSSIBLE to remove from its vantage in the top of the refrigerator unit. You can not get ice from the door without ice ending up on the floor. The hole is square shaped. Do you have ANY cups that are square shaped? The ice dispensing hole is large so ice goes all over the place. The water comes out in front of the ice dispenser so that if your cup is even slightly on the small side, water goes all over the floor. 2. THE FRENCH DOOR DIVIDER COVER. When you open the left door, the flap that covers the center opening is supposed to fall back out of the way. Well, that happens about 20% of the time. The other 80% of the time, the flap doesn't move all the way over so that when you close the left door, the flap slams the top of the fridge and the door flies back open. You have to manually push the flap out of the way. 3. THE VEGETABLE DRAWERS. The front of the drawers is a separate piece such that if you have a spill in the drawer, it runs out of the drawer into the bottom of the fridge. And it through about a one inch section of the drawer that is inaccessible so that all you can do is try to run water through it and hope it cleans the mess and dries out eventually. 4. STORAGE CAPACITY. I had a counter depth side-by-side previously and it held so much more without as much as effort as I now make to fit everything in. Consider yourself warned.

AWFUL DO NOT BUY

Ice maker has had issues since the beginning. Because it is now out of warranty, they will not offer replacement and no parts available. They offered a prorated reimbursement which is not even a 1/3 of the cost to replace.

After almost exactly two years of owning both, the ice makers have gone out and both fridges have trouble regulating temperature. Samsung has advised they are out of warranty. Do not advise buying a Samsung fridge, weird for two units to give up exactly at the 2 year mark.

Would not purchase again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this fridge for about 2 years now - I wouldn’t purchase it again. The fridge itself is just fine and the adjustable shelving inside is nice. The drawers are difficult to clean - there is an area that is completely inaccessible to soaking or scrubbing that seems to still be able to collect little veggie bits and onion skins. The flex drawer is a nice feature, but it contains useless wire dividers that are impossible to remove which makes storing odd sized bottles challenging. Also, despite setting the temperature to “beverage” the flex drawer continually freezes and then explodes cans. The freezer is by far the worst. The top drawer is constantly coming off the tracks and getting stuck either too far forward making the food underneath inaccessible or too far backwards making closing the drawer a challenge. Even when the freezer is nearly empty, the useless drawer is a challenge. But, I’m actually here today to get the model number because now the ice machine is not working. It’s never actually produced “crushed” ice (just ice cubes that seem a little beaten up in the chute”) and we gave up on that years ago - but it seems to have now stopped making ice all together.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The ice maker is in the refrigerator, which results in ice not reaching its freezing temperature, thus causes dripping out the front of the refrigerator and on the floor. This defect has resulted to significant damage to my wood floor and has warped the wood. The dripping also causes the ice maker to freeze up and create a block of ice that is not removable. It freezes the entire ice maker and makes the ice maker unable to be removed. The only way to remove the ice box once it is frozen, is to thaw your entire refrigerator, wasting all the food and making food unsafe to consume. We have had this refrigerator repaired twice now by Samsung ServiceQuick and have the same issues— the technician mentioned about half their service calls are related to this model and this design defect. There is an open class action lawsuit against this refrigerator and defect. Please avoid this model at all costs.

I paid 2,400 for this piece of junk. The ice maker never worked consistently, and now the freezer has gone out and spoiled food. If this is what Best Buy is selling, I would recommend not shopping here. I am sorry for such a bad review, but it is not fun coming home from a wedding to find no ice, and spoiled food in the freezer after less than 5 years of owning this junk. I even had the extended warranty, but guess what, it wasn't long enough.
