    We have had this refrigerator for just over 2 years and the ice maker stopped working, followed by the freezer. We were about 1 month past the warranty and Samsung would not honor it or help with cost of repairs. It is ridiculous that such an expensive appliance would break at just 2 years old!

    Faulty Ice Maker

    Had this refrigerator for 3.5 years. The ice maker has never worked properly. We bought the extended warranty from Best Buy and they’ve been great. Out to fix it 4 times in the last 3.5 years. Now that the warranty with Best Buy is expired, the ice maker is again not working for the 5th time. Samsung wants to charge us to fix. Piece of junk!

    Ice maker constantly jams/Shelves aren’t removable

    Samsung really needs to revisit and redesign the ice maker on this model! It continually keeps getting jammed due to condensation buildup making the ice bin pretty much impossible to remove without having to constantly keep defrosting it. And of course when the condensation builds around the components (which happens all the time) no further ice is produced until you clear out the built up ice. The glass shelves are also impossible to get out so don’t even think about trying to clean them if any spills trickle down in the cracks. My advice… Steer clear of this model!

    This refrigerator has been giving us nightmare. We purchased it at 2015 and it had 2 years warranty. 2 months after the warranty expired, the problem started. The refrigerator was not cold at all. The ice and water dispenser were not working. My husband opened the panel behind the refrigerator, we found a big chunk of ice accumulated there. We try to keep it as long as we can. But we have to open the panel every 2 to 3 months to defrost the ice. Calling the Samsung customer, they said oh your warranty is expired, we don't cover anything. Oh, I forgot to maintain. The door handle came off after a few month. A $3000 refrigerator, what a joke? I will not buy any Samsung appliances in the future.

    If you really want your ice maker to work, do not buy this, and do not buy a Samsung. Our ice maker failed just after the first year and it would be $700 to replace, with no guarantee the replacement ice maker will not fail as well. This is a chronic problem with Samsungs - just google it.

    Never buying Samsung appliances again. Constant issues with ice maker and eventually fridge quit cooling sufficiently. Won’t get below 50 degrees according to external thermometer. Certified Samsung repair is worthless. Am hundreds in with no resolution in sight. Cutting my losses and buying a different brand. Less than 3 year old fridge.

    GARBAGE!! I purchased a 3 piece bundle - Microwave, Dishwasher, and Fridge, all failed within two years. The Ice maker failed on the fridge, the microwave continues to run after it is shut off and the dishwasher beeps and shuts off before finishing a cycle. Idiot me did not purchase an extended warranty and they are now out of warranty and I Have to replace them. Do not purchase, find a better product than Samsung. Garbage

    Poor Reliability

    Purchased this 2 years ago when the problems started. BB won't allow me to provide details so just search: samsung noisy fan refrigerator. This is a design defect that samsung will not fix. They will band aid it for a year or so and then you start all over again. Look at other manufacturers.

    If you can afford it, buy something better. It seems Samsung wanted to save money when they left out some of the features. No light for the water dispenser, lighting in fridge is poor - the lower part is pretty dark. The freezer has brackets on the door for a shelf, but no shelf. The first one that was delivered had to be sent back... the water wasn't chilled and the stream was at an angle. The ice maker seems to work. I guess that's an improvement - we'll see. A lot of money for very little.

    Lemon Refrigerator

    I bought this refrigerator Sept 21, 2021 and they delivered it October 4th 2021. The refrigerator started tearing up in February 2022. The freezer completely quit working, ruined everything in it. Then the flex drawer quit. Now the refrigerator. Of course I've called, had to wait on someone to come fix it. Last Friday April 1, 2022 Samsung repairman said that it wasn't fixable! So now, I had to wait on them to process an exchange. And they want me to load it up, take it back, and then wait on another one to be shipped! SO I am very unhappy! A total lemon of a refrigerator!

    Avoid - ice maker never works right

    We purchased our refrigerator and are currently in the process of negotiating compensation from Samsung. The icemaker worked for about a year (right up until the warranty expired) and since then we've had it either repaired or replaced every year. Most appliance repair stores will not work on Samsung appliances so you have to use Samsung approved repair centers, that are unreliable. We've waited over a week for someone to contact us. Google Samsung icemakers - there are tons of problems.

    Last Samsung appliance I buy period! Thought it was just their washer and dryers but I bought this fridge and right after the 1 year gener warranty, my ice maker freezes up and my water dispenser flooded my kitchen. Samsung was no help but offered to sell me another water filter...Stay way from all Samsung appliances!

    Worst Refrigerator and Customer Service Ever

    I purchased this Samsung refrigerator along with other Samsung kitchen appliances. The ice maker stopped working after about 10 months. Samsung came and said they fixed it, but it stopped working again about 6 months later. This time, Samsung replaced the entire ice maker. Worked for 6 months and then stopped working. Samsung replaced the board on the ice maker. Worked 3 months and stopped working. Samsung now refuses to work on it and will only give me a voucher to purchase another Samsung product or give me a fraction of what the refrigerator is worth since we are now out of warranty. So, they strung me along until the refrigerator was out of warranty and I am stuck without an ice maker. Searching online, this appears to happen A LOT to their ice makers. Buyer beware of this product and company.

    Hope it doesn't break, or you are out of luck

    I purchased a very similar model about 5 years ago. It’s a beautiful fridge, I receive many compliments on it. Fast forward to the fridge making a terrible buzzing noise. You can’t live with that noise, but you can’t live without a fridge. Finding a serviceman for a Samsung product is a nightmare. We were told by many appliance repairmen that they don’t work with Samsung because it’s really difficult to get parts. We finally found a serviceman who knew exactly what the issue was (ice buildup around the fan and the defrost functionality no longer working properly). It’s been currently 3 weeks and counting and still no replacement part. We also had an issue last year with our Samsung dishwasher. It took 6 weeks to get the part. I understand things break (although my mom’s 1970 fridge is still going strong), but not being able to get parts is crazy. I will never, ever purchase another Samsung appliance.

    I have a Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator. The icemaker is in the refrigerator which causes warmer air to leak into it. This melts the ice and causes ice build up freezing the ice maker up. I fought with Samsung and received an almost 100% refund. Do not buy a fridge with the icemaker in the refrigerator.
