Worst refrigerator ever!,,

Ice maker does not work .. once I totally unplug it for 4 hours, defrost it the plug it back in , then it it will give ice again. Finally I have had enough. Will be getting a new frig soon!!

some issues to be concerned about

However, I have been having issues with the ice maker and the water filter keeps getting stuck. The family hubs works great and has never given me any problems. Samsung is awful when it comes to honoring the warranty.

For smart home device users.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fridge is pretty good quality and does an outstanding job keeping your food at the right temperature. We have a lot of smart devices from hue light bulbs, smart samsung tv, and washer/dryer, to the ring door bell, so the fridge integrates well with them and works as a smart hub. If you do not have smart devices that this fridge can intergrate with and take advantage of and you plan to use this as a glorified tablet in the kitchen, I would advice spending your money on a different fridge and buy a tablet or something.. The markup for that functionality is not worth it if you are gonna use it just for music or youtube and googling recipes. My only grip after 4 months of ownership is the ice maker is too small and slow. I have family members with cheaper samsung fridges and they get their ice a lot quicker than this one.

THE WORST!!!! do not buy !!! THE WORST!!!!

Not for a family or for those who entertain or anyone who wants a functioning refrigerator. -does not create enough ice -slow ice dispensing -cannot move shelves -cannot keep frozen items frozen unless the doors are not opened through the day. -doors do not close properly. There is actually a hinge that forces you to have to push the door closed. -its smart features are lacking, not seamless and are not their full programs. -constantly have to reconnect to smart hub to access information on samsung phone when at the super market, but cannot bc you must reconnect in close proximity to fridge, which makes it useless!! This purchase was a gift to ourselves that our family splurged on when we finally purchased our home, and I am sick to my stomach that our family has to accommodate the fridges lacking ability into our daily lives. I have already had geek squad out to look at the freezer, which according to them, will go into an automatic defrost and to reset the entire fridge but unplugging and turning off power. What a freaking hassle. I am calling geek squad again bc now my ice compartment is not maintaining is temp and is constantly leaking. DO NOT BUY!!! unless you want to literally throw away close to $4000 once taxes and warranty and water line is added.

I’ve maker broke down

Ice maker went out. Samsung replaced it for free. Also if y’all have pets, the hair get stuck underneath in the metal filter. When this happens the freezer stops cooling properly.

DON'T BUY THIS FRIDGE! DEFECTIVE FINISH

CON - THE FINISH IS DEFECTIVE! We did not buy the black stainless steel version because we noticed that it easily scratched off as evident on the display model. It looked like a coating and not something manufactured to actually be black stainless. So we went with the regular stainless steel. THIS FINISH DOES NOT ACT LIKE REAL STAINLESS. We don't have little kids, but it looks like a bunch of toddlers ruined it!!! Handprints, water, any liquid, basically anything wet/oily will permanently mark the finish on your fridge, meaning you won't be able to clean it or polish it with anything. Over time, you will HATE your appliance. Unfortunately, Best Buy's geek squad extended warranty will tell you they can't repair it because it is "cosmetic." There are no scratches, no dents, no physical cosmetic damage to our appliance other than the HORRIBLE STAINS THAT WON'T GO AWAY. IT IS NOT A CLEANING ISSUE!! I have owned professional stainless steel appliances for YEARS and have NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN. I wish Best Buy would step up to the plate and either replace the doors or better yet, let us trade it in for something completely different. Either my fridge is the only one with a defective finish, or all the other people who have written reviews haven't come back to complete their review which is that after the novelty wears off, the ugly lights come on and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO to fix it!!!!! The ice maker also quit working and froze. Geek squad fixed it promptly as it was a known recall for this model. NOTE: Recently, we noticed that all advertisements have added: Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel. Maybe it's because Samsung realized that the finish is DEFECTIVE!!!!!!

Excellent 4-door fridge

Had an icemaker issue, but the Samsung warranty sent a technician and fixed right away for free.

Great potential, but performance issues

Thankfully we kept LG as second fridge because the ice maker on this Samsung model has been horrible. Early on, a small amount of water would leak from the dispenser every time we got ice. Then, the ice jams started due to a buildup of frost. Even when it was working properly, the ice maker is not user-friendly (have to use wide-mouthed glasses to capture ice without making a mess - need to keep towel nearby as frequent cleanups are necessary). Ended up making a warranty claim and they replaced entire ice maker and related components, and actually had to caulk in under door dispenser gasket. Thankfully no duct tape in this $4k appliance! Repairman said he was very busy with this problem in Samsung refrigerators. Since our family uses ice and water frequently, this problem overshadows many of the refrigerator's positives. We were apprehensive about this purchase due to so many negative reviews about the ice maker, but mistakenly assumed Samsung had addressed the issue with the second year model. There is also always a fine frost that covers everything in freezer. Available apps are limited and additions are very rare. Compatible with Ring, not Nest.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was not our first choice of refrigerators but what we wanted was not available and since our current fridge was broken we had to get something ASAP. This also means we paid full price, almost $5k. Pros: The fridge is very spacious, although there is not enough room for tall drink containers. The door will fit your milk and juice but that's it. You have an option to push a portion of a shelf back to fit those tall containers but then this blocks the back portion. Cons: The shelves on the upper doors of the left side are so skinny they really don't hold anything. Butter and some capers and its full. The most annoying part for us has been the tablet. From day 1 the Pandora feature (heavily advertised) has not worked. We called Geek Squad for support and they had no ideas or options to help fix this. Randomly Pandora started working for about a week then stopped again. So I call Geek Squad again. Again they do not help me but pass me off to Samsung. Samsung then does the same thing and passes me off to Pandora. Pandora will not accept phone calls for support. Keep in mind how much I paid for this and you understand why I am so upset/frustrated/annoyed. It might not bother me so much if I didn't have to stare at the problem all the time. I close the Pandora app but it opens itself all the time, on the home screen, showing me that it is there and trying to play but just not playing. A constant annoying reminder that I want to listen to music but I can't. I realize how ridiculous this all sounds but it is making me hate my fridge. meh.

Don’t waste your money!

At first the kids loved this refrigerated because of the screen but then it stopped working when they upgraded the computer during one of the freezer repairs. Now the screen keeps freezing up and doesn’t respond to touch and when you ask Bixby to do something it doesn’t always work either. It only works sporadically.

Don't buy fridge made by Samsung

I would recommend not buying this product. I read the reviews on the Samsung brand years ago and said that people were not being truthful about this brand because I have a lot of products made by Samsung and was very happy. But in the fridge world, don't waste your money knowing the fridge will break in 5 years, and you will have to spend more money to fix it.

Please stay away, problem after problem

(design flow) -screen pixels burned in and required total screen replacement -compressor broke and fridge stopped cooling. To add the software and apps are not receiving any updates making fridge obsolete please stay away.
