    this unit does not make enough ice for two people to be home on a Sunday. Purchase last September. I love everything else. it works great. NO ICE, so sad:(((((((( now I need to run out to 7 11 to buy ice. after spending the most amount of money I have ever spent on a Refrigerator.

    Poor ice dispenser design

    I love the basic design of this fridge with the 4 doors and flexible use of the right side bottom compartment BUT this has the worst icemaker. We do not use tons of ice and so the small dispenser was not a big issue. But, if I don't defrost it every two weeks the ice builds up and the blocks the dispenser. The only way to unblock it is to turn off icemaker and defrost it, because when it's blocked you can't even pull out the ice dispenser bucket. This is a known issue and I had this problem serviced early on. The tech changed some parts and adjusted the hose that fills the cube making area with water, but it has not solved the problem. Recently I was away for a few weeks and the icemaker clogged again while I was gone. When I was able to remove the bucket the back of the bucket is now cracked. It is past warranty. Without an icemaker this refrigerator is useless. I am so disappointed.

    OK, but lousy ice maker

    A lot less freezer space and the ice maker doesn't stand up. It kept freezing over and I kept having to defrost it, over and over maybe 6 months after I bought it. Apparently there have been so many other complaints that Samsung offered a free replacement even after the warranty ran out. And even that one freezes over.

    We replaced a 10 years old counter depth Monogram side by side which has a little larger in capacity, being slightly taller. To our surprise when moving the food over we noticed that this fridge is more spacious. The lighting is very bright and it is easy to see and find what you’re looking with it’s nice wide opening compared to the old. The finishes are fine and I already got used to the door handles. The double door freezer is just so much easier to organize and find your stuff. Like many people here, we love to use the chill function for extra cold beverages and better maintain meat and fish. The only thing I wish was better is the drawers travel, it’s really on the short side also it would be nice to have the mechanism on bearings. I think it would be suitable in this price range. Overall you can’t go wrong with this fridge. We found it to be super quiet, like the Monogram.

    A little over a year into owning this model, our refrigerator has started developing the common ice maker problems that resulted in a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Ice doesn't fully freeze, causing the ice maker to stop working. Defrosting with a hair dryer helps, but I'm afraid based on others experiences that ours will eventually lock up and burn out the motor. Otherwise, this is a nice looking shallow counter depth refrigerator. The inside has a nice mix of adjustable shelves and storage, and our only real complaint has been the ice maker not working. Buy the extended warranty, or plan for the possibility of repairs in the future.

    Samnsung has a nack for design! However the quality of there products are lacking tremendously. Had ice maker issues , then freezer issues. Never will buy another samnsung apliance .

    Bought this in 2015 from Best Buy. Owned it for 2 years and it stopped cooling. Called Samsung to see if it was still under warrantee. We had a service guy come out, he confirmed that it was under warrantee. I have spent several weeks, without a fridge, going back and forth with Samsung about it. They will pay me the minimum possible. None of the people that I spoke to spoke English well. It has been a horrible experience. This is a great fridge for a brief time, then it becomes a horrible job for you. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.

    Samsung should stick to making android phones. Poor fridge (water forming inside, poor ice making), poor stove quality (multiple issues with oven igniter in first year)

    Please do some online research before you make a decision to buy this fridge. I would suggest you DO NOT BUY IT, but if you decide to (overall it's a great fridge), and I never get warranties myself because I've never needed to use one, I STRONGLY SUGGEST you get an extended warranty with this. You will find numerous complaints, etc. specifically regarding the ice maker on this fridge. You will even find info about a class action law suit over it. I never leave reviews because my wife and I have a 5 year old and an 8 year old and are too busy to even find time to clean the house. The only reason I'm writing this is because I'm currently online trying to figure out how to fix my fridge. I always do research before I purchase something, including checking reviews, which I typically take with a grain of salt on an individual basis. I feel it's better to gather as much info as I can based on professional reviews, reviews from owners, etc. and then make a decision. I did that with this fridge and I have been perfectly happy with it until recently, as I'm sure most reviewers have. We purchased it in April 2016 and had no issues with it at all until summer 2018. As I started my research, I quickly found out it was a rampant issue, regarding the ice maker, and that it seems to fail not far beyond the warranty date. That's exactly what happened in my case. You will find that people have had their's repaired numerous times only to have it continue to fail. So now I'm off to try and figure out why there is a fan running continuously since we turned the ice maker part off...

    Ice maker will give you loads of problems! We had the extended warranty and had the repair folks out several times to repair/replace the ice maker parts and, even the newest level of parts did not fix the issue. It's still a problem to this day. We purchased this through Best Buy. If you do buy this, definitely get the extended warranty or you'll be sorry!

    We just purchased a new home and we needed a counter depth fridge. We went shopping for one and finally agreed on this Samsung. We love it and it has room (that was my concern). We love the color and it fits in well in our new gourmet kitchen.

    We've had this refrigerator for about 6 months now. My biggest gripe is magnets don't stick to the door. As it turns out this fridge has a stainless steel "look" but it's not stainless, or even steel for that matter, so magnets don't hold on. The lighting inside is great. The 4 storage doors are great. We use the bottom right compartment as a full-time freezer. I was concerned about the loud ice maker but it's not very loud and it hasn't been an issue for us. The noise one hears is the occasional piece of ice dropping from the maker into the basket inside the door.

    Love this refrigerator. Love that half the bottom freezer can be used as refrigerator space with a simple click on the door selector. Love all the room. Love that there are no handles to work loose or need cleaning. Love the sleak look and black stainless exterior. My only suggestion for improvement would be the crushed ice is very very slow.

    Besides just being loud, the ice maker clogs every few days and you have to defrost it and start over. There's not a lot of places to organize. you can't fit a whole lot in the doors on the left side. I do like the drawers in the freezer.

    I am absolutely DISGUSTED by this company! Thousands of dollars paid towards the appliances of our new home and I cannot get ANY assistance regarding the malfunctions that are occurring!!! Our refrigerator makes a noise that sounds like a lawn mower throughout our living area, AND the double windowpane of our oven door has no barrier so as to prevent liquid/condensation from accumulating within! I have been in touch with corporate, I have sent NUMEROUS emails/messages with videos/called to speak to someone in person and have gotten NO WHERE!!!!! While the refrigerator department tells me it is still covered under warranty considering the DATE of delivery AND even sent someone out to service it with no result, the oven department tells me the warranty is determined by the date of PURCHASE!! Get it together! Come service or replace your malfunctioning appliances or I will report you to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and seek Legal action!!!!

    Purchased this refrigerator, range and dishwasher. I have had numerous calls in and repairman out with no success. The main problem with the refrigerator is the icemaker doesn’t work properly. It freezes up and doesn’t make ice. This is a huge issue considering the price of the unit overall. I’m glad I bought the extended warranty because I don’t believe they will ever solve the problem.

    Paid $3000 for this refrigerator with tax & warranty, within the first year I’ve had to have the icemaker replaced it’s been about three years now and I’ve had to make another appointment to have the icemaker replaced. This is ridiculous! You shouldn’t need to have your refrigerator repaired within every two years of owning it brand new. First when you select cubed ice it just shatters ice and throws it all over the floor not into your glass even though cubed ice is selected. After a while of shattering ice all over the place it just stops working entirely because I assume it’s all froze up inside if itself. Second time this has happened in just 3 1/2 years years. If you take the door apart you will break it. Such a stupid design I can’t believe someone came up with that! The water filter is really hard to install. I have installed a new one however it’s still doesn’t register a new one has been installed. The icemaker is impossible to open from the inside so when it’s frozen shut you can’t do anything about it. Very poor design across-the-board. Although I love the color of the black stainless it’s very easily dented and marked with just the slightest bump so I really don’t recommend it. Also it’s a magnet for fingerprints! I also bought the matching dishwasher I’ll be putting a review for that as well I can’t stand this dishwasher! The dishes are never dry so as I’m pulling dishes out and having to dry them they drip water spots all over my floor, and less you like washing your floor every day don’t use this dishwasher! Don’t buy Samsung appliances!
