    Never buying a Samsung appliance again

    Bought a $3K+ fridge less than 5 years ago. Since then we have had to replace several drawers and shelves that have simply cracked. Almost every piece of plastic inside, and there are a lot of them, is literally falling apart. Now the Showcase door is not working and, of course, the ice maker has never worked properly. The stainless steel (?) front panels are absourdly easy to dent. At least the cooling system does work fine though. Never buying a Samsung again.

    The icemaker makes very little ice. Most mornings there wasn't enough to fill 2 hydroflasks. The cubes are extreemly small and melt almost instantly. Since it did not make enough we made ice trays in the flex-zone which was set as a freezer. Had to go to -3 deg to get it to freeze the cubes. Fill them in the evening and the next morning only the surface was frozen. On top of that the finish on the doors show tons of finger prints. Had to wipe down daily. We returned it for a GE (Of which the icemaker just broke!) I give props to Pacific Sales at the BestBuy Honolulu for taking the return as this counter depth was not a stocking item. Took 4 weeks to get a replacement which is the norm for here. I thought the fridge looked cool and the flex zone was a neat concept, but it just doesn't work. A big flaw is having the ice maker located in the refrigerator. Seems counter intuitive for making ice consistently.

    Samsung - 22.5 CuFt 4-Door Flex French Door Refrigerator is very nice. It looks good and the bottom compartment that can be a freezer or regular temperature is great.

    They make a nice looking product until it breaks! Customer service nightmare try four trips from repairman with no fridge and they expect you to wait days for answers. No exaggeration 10 hours on the phone with scripted call takers !!

    Great Looks, but some issues

    I bought this in October 2015. Love the looks, but here are the issues: 1. The ice maker is ridiculously small and it takes a long time to rebuild the ice. If you are a family of 2 there should be no problem, but I hate this for my family of 6 with soccer water bottles being refilled daily I have to go to my basement refrigerator every day. 2. Ice maker drips. Because the ice tray is located in the fridge and not the freezer it drips! 3. It makes a ticking sound. I am calling for repair now. Overall, my wife hates this refrigerator. I love the looks but wish I bought something else. $3000 is a lot of disappointment.

    The appearance is nice. Be warned though that I bought this only two years ago and am now in the process of having a FOURTH ice maker installed and that only because I purchased extended warranty. The first stopped working shortly after purchasing. Salesman admitted that they have massive complaints on this refrigerator. I wonder why they keep selling it. I would really give it 0 stars.

    With the exception of the ice maker, this is a pretty good refrigerator. Convenient, functional, and attractive. Unfortunately, the ice maker clogs up, turns into a frozen lump of ice, and quits working about every 6-8 weeks. Need to forcefully remove the drawer and then chip out the frozen lump with a long knife to get it working again. Disappointing design failure for an otherwise excellent appliance.

    Good Product, Poor Service

    A couple of retailers had better price on this item, but I've decided to buy it at Best Buy since they offered free delivery, installation and hauling of the old refrigerator. It was delivered and installed on time, but my old refrigerator hasn't been removed, citing that it's a built in. First I've been told they need to send extra people. Later I was told that I need to have it removed and that I can send a bill for reimbursement. After I've told them that I would rather return the item they've scheduled a new crew to pick it up. Instead of sending four people as agreed, two guys showed up and didn't want to remove it. I've missed two days of work and spent probably two hours on the phone getting a runaround. I would buy the refrigerator again, just not at Best Buy.

    not refrigerator, just a decorative

    I received a damage refrigerator and after less than 20 hours, the refrigerator stop working. the Samsung is not accepting to fix it because stopped working less than 24 hours after delivery. I asked best buy to return it and still no one take care of my issue. I keep calling the best buy but no one is responsible. Please let me know, if some one know where I have to take my complain and return this décor and get my money.

    BUYER BEWARE Bought this refrigerator 2 years ago. Worked fine for 2 Years and the the Ice maker kept freezing up and getting frozen shut. Tried the defrost method multiple times to only have it happen again. Found out there is a class action suit against Samsung for this very reason. It is a known problem that the company is obviously ignoring. They should stand behind their products and issue a recall. Until then, save your money.

    Nice Fridge but Space is Small

    I like the multi-climate zones but i have problems fitting large items like Costco Pizza because each door is a separate climate zone and not able to combine compartments to one large space.

    Numerous design flaws

    I spent $3k for this refrigerator and regret it regularly. I have three continual problems with it: - The steel on the doors is very thin and can be dented easily. Three of the four doors had dents in them within a few months of purchase. The dents are big enough that visitors have commented on them. I was told it is $500 for EACH DOOR to replace. - The ice maker freezes water particles to the point that ice buildup eventually prevents the ice maker from working and has gone so far as to freeze the ice canister in place. We've had to defrost the whole fridge and three weeks later the issue is already returning. - The freezer compartment has some sort of filtration issue where tiny frozen particles appear on everything - all surface areas and containers. I haven't even tried to get this one fixed. It's too bad because the flex option is exactly what we needed in our kitchen, but I am nearing the point where I am ready to declare this one a $3000 loss and buy anything other than a Samsung next time.

    Refrigerator Cooling System Ceased Functioning

    Within 10 months of purchasing this refrigerator, it stopped cooling properly. It was discovered by the technician that there were 3 leaks in the system and it could not be fixed. Therefore, it will need to be replaced. It has been over a week and I was informed today that it will be at least 5 days until i can go back to Best Buy and get it replaced. Additionally, i have basically needed to call customer service each day to determine status. This has been a very disappointing experience overall. I would rate the product a 0, but am forced to select 1 star.

    DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

    BIG... NO.. We brought this in early 2017 for our new home as this looked great and the brand sounded promising. High chances that this refrigerator will likely to be a mere fancy metal box after 2-3 years (It happened not just to me. Most people have same issues). Issues starts with ice maker and then extends to freezer malfunctioning. We have been out of these two from last 6 months as its an on-going game of ordering the parts and nothing works. Every time we call to report the issue ,geek squad sends a tech. Tech orders different parts every time and nothing works after all that. I'm sure they must have ordered almost all parts except frame and compressor. Samsung seems doesn't want to do anything about it. Its just waste of money.

    Do not buy Samsung!

    Refrigerator stopped cooling after 4 years. Called Samsung who made me trouble shot on 4 different occasions until they determined that a service technician needed to come out. They never sent the work order which required multiple additional calls. Service technician could not figure out what was wrong after troubleshooting with Samsung. Tried to convince me to try multiple different parts before finally conceding it was a sealed system issue which they can not fix and to call Samsung back. Samsung admits this is a warranty issues and will replace but has to go through case management which has no dedicated number. After waiting on hold so an hour you get a representative who puts you on hold to review you case and hangs up or never comes back. Multiple calls and hours later you realize the same thing keeps happening and they have no intention of replacing your refrigerator. Save you self a lot of time and money and never but a Samsung product. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

    It is worst refrigerator we have ever purchased. DO NOT BUY IT! It has ongoing ice maker issues. Google Samsung refrigerator – ice maker icing up and you will see. The techs will have you defrost/ shut down ice maker then reset it and it works…. For a few weeks before it ices up again. The problem is that the Ice maker is in the “warmer” refrigerator section – it thaws. Poor design – no insulation. For this much money I shouldn’t have to fiddle around with this nuisance. DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!

    Beware!!! If you want ICE don't get this model

    It is absolutely maddening how many times I have tried to have this repaired thinking it was just my unit. Every time an appliance repair comes out they say not much can be done, other than caulk the edges. Every time, it's another $100. It seems it is systemic to all of these refrigerators. The ice maker freezes up so often and you have to defrost it manually. I say "often", as in every 3 weeks or so. I'm so tired of doing this! I have never joined a class action lawsuit but if some attorney out there wants to start one for this refrigerator - I'm in!!! The service at Best Buy was really good but if anyone at Best Buy is checking these rating - do NOT have your sales personnel recommend this product.

    Known issues with this refrigerator

    Samsung authorized techs have been trying to repair these refrigerators for years and they just KEEP BREAKING. Samsung has been knowingly making and selling defective refrigerators with a very common issue: the ice maker builds up condensation which freezes over the fan, thus shutting off the refrigeration to your fresh food section. This begins after your warranty expires, so you'll have to pay $75 for a tech to tell you it'll cost over $800 to fix. Despite it being Samsung's fault, we the consumers have to pay for their mistakes. It's ridiculous, people online are talking class-action lawsuit, but who can fight this huge corporation? Best thing to do is count your losses and AVOID SAMSUNG AT ALL COSTS.
