The blue speckled ceramic interior is really visually stunning as is the glass and brushed chrome exterior and pull handle. The unit vents between the handle and control panel which had me concerned at first, but the air coming out was never hot enough to be an issue on bare hands nor did it heat up the handle at all. The SmartThings app is a battle to configure, mostly because the documentation is terrible. Scanning the QR code as stated in the manual yield led an error. I found a YouTube video from Samsung that gave the correct approach, which is to pair your smartphone with the oven first.. and THEN your smartphone can ‘see’ the oven. The password is 1111122222, which is also missing in the paper docs that accompanied the oven. To get the oven in pairing mode hold Smart Control button on the oven for 3 seconds until the display reads AP, then you can pair the smartphone with the oven. There’s one more step to getting the oven to be started/stopped by the app which is to push the Smart Control button one more time when prompted to allow complete control. Haven’t figured out the Alexa puzzle yet.. have the skill added (SmartThings) but can’t get Alexa to find the device. Will keep playing with it and if I figure it out will post an update. Great oven so far.. it’s definitely attractive!!

It is equiped with true convection that speeds cooking, has easy digital controls, and a sleek contemporary design that looks great. It also has a setting for dehydrating fruits for preparation of healthy snacks. I would recommend this oven.

I set temp to 350 for cookies. After i purchased oven thermometer it is 100* off. Aometines it if 50 degrees off. Best Buy offered no support.

Do not buy this oven

The oven measures the temperature in the upper right corner in the back. The thermometer does not measure the temperature where the food is. When the oven says there are 400 degrees there are less than 350 in the middle of the oven where the food is. Things get worse when you open the door for a few seconds. The temperature where the food is it will go down very quickly with a small change in the temperature the oven is measuring because the oven thermometer is very close to the wall of the oven and the temperature of the metal will influence what the oven is measuring. Consequently when you close the door the oven never realized the temperature went down and the temperature will stay low and you will undercook your food. If one opens the door for around half minute or more, there is a larger drop of the temperature where the food is and the oven will realize the temperature went down and to warm the oven up it will turn on the broiler and burn all your food. The design of this oven is a failure and they should not be selling this oven which at the end of the day it is an expensive piece of garbage.

Can’t voice activate!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oven works very well. It was bought to assist my wife, who has macular degeneration. It does not work with Alexa or Siri. It is totally useless as a voice operated device. Samsung should fix this.
