I have been wanting this fridge for quite some time but the price has always held me back. After seeing a super good sale during president's day, I decided to pull the trigger. I previously owned a Samsung Fridge with a pull out beverage drawer, so I am comparing this fridge to that. After reading so many of these helpful reviews, I decided the fridge would be a perfect upgrade, however, after owning this for 2-3 weeks now, there are some things I wish I had considered before switching to this fridge.
Physical limitations:
-Space: This fridge is a side-by-side (freezer on left, fridge on right). My previous fridge was top half fridge and bottom half was pull out freezer. This means now the shelving in both the fridge and freezer are narrow. No more full size pizza boxes in the fridge or large tupperware.
-Ice Maker: The ice maker on this is laughable. I usually fill up a 32 oz container full of ice for my coffee and another person in the household fills up a 32 oz container for water and that pretty much depletes the ice bin. We purchased a ice container so we can stockpile ice in the freezer so we have a bit of excess. This is quite frustrating of course, but not sure how many others would run into this problem.
-Water Dispenser: The water dispenser has NO light. I think samsung figured that with such a large screen on the fridge, they did not need to add a light to the water dispenser but boy are they wrong. When going to get water at night, you either have to turn on your kitchen lights or use your phone's flashlight to see how much water is in your container. Its truly a hugely missed feature that will be noticed right away when you overfill your water bottles.
-Interior Camera: The interior camera can only see like 2, maybe 3 shelves. Im really curious what the point of this feature was. Additionally, when you are not home, your fridge requires the $35 smart dongle so you can view this camera when you are not home. Its a feature I am not going to use anyway so not a big deal.
Software limitations:
-Family Hub (touch screen): Virtually no apps available. This is running some version of SamsungOS and pretty much the apps on there are all that’s available (no app store). Most apps require you to cast to your fridge from your phone. Part of the reason I got this fridge was so I could control spotify when having gatherings and let my guests queue songs from the fridge. Unfortunately, the version of spotify on the fridge is more like a spotify remote (only allowing you to skip songs forwards/backwards) and only if the fridge itself is playing the music.
I want to really stress the fact that the fridge is great. It does everything a fridge is supposed to do, but if you are planning to get this fridge and any of the cons I mentioned are deal breakers, then consider alternative styles. I think in the future, I would get the Samsung family hub fridge that is a top/bottom style and maybe has a bigger ice maker. Hopefully samsung includes lights in these models.
Pros:
-Touch Screen is pretty cool, not laggy at all.
-Perfect fridge for tech enthusiasts
-Functions great as a fridge/freezer
Cons:
-Narrow space in fridge/freezer (all side by sides have this con though)
-Ice maker holds laughable amounts of ice
-Water/Ice dispenser has no light. Cant see when containers are full without flashlight or overhead kitchen lights.
-Very limited apps for fridge
Takeaway:
Great fridge to get as long as the listed cons are not deal breakers.

This was the best choice I've ever mad when it comes to refrigerators, I have bought new refrigerators for every new house I've brought and this is by far the best, full of space on the inside, light is easy on eyes while looking around. Vegetables stay fresh longer and fruit as well. I'm so happy and pleased that I made the right choice, only one thing I can't keep my grandson off the touch screen panel, he loves YouTube while he eats. I love that I can view my recipes, and make a grocery list, and actually be able to look in my fridge while I'm at the grocery store to see if I have certain items, I just love it. now I will need to get matching appliances, can't wait to see how I can outdo this buy.

I love the touchscreen feature. What makes this refrigerator so great is I can see what’s inside of the refrigerator when I’m not home, so if I need certain groceries or I can’t remember what’s in the refrigerator? I can always see it. This does have a touchscreen feature on the outside and you can watch Samsung TV channels and YouTube while you are cooking in the kitchen. You just have to have the smart things app. Yes this does come with an icemaker and you can also get ice chips as well. My water container is 36 ounces and it fits you have no idea how convenient it is to get water and ice and no spills. The outside material is smudge proof so you don’t see any fingerprints and when it’s delivered it’s wrapped up extremely well.

The Samsung smart fridge combines sleek design with advanced technology. Its Family Hub feature allows seamless grocery management, entertainment, and communication. The spacious interior is well-organized, and temperature control is excellent. However, the touch screen can occasionally lag, and it’s pricey. Ideal for tech-savvy households seeking convenience and style.

I've been using the Samsung 26.7 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Smart Refrigerator with Family Hub for a few months now, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance and features.
First, the storage capacity is fantastic — plenty of space for a large household, with well-organized compartments and adjustable shelving. The side-by-side design makes accessing both fridge and freezer sections easy and convenient.
The Family Hub with its 21.5" touchscreen is a game changer. I use it daily to leave notes, create shopping lists, view recipes, and even stream music while in the kitchen. It also lets me see inside the fridge remotely from my phone, which is incredibly helpful while grocery shopping.
Another plus is the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish — it keeps the fridge looking clean and sleek with minimal effort.
The cooling performance is consistent and efficient. Everything stays fresh, and the ice maker works smoothly.
Overall, this refrigerator blends smart technology with solid functionality. If you’re looking for a modern, family-friendly fridge, I highly recommend it.

We love this refrigerator. The ice maker is in the door which makes the freezer bigger and more convenient. The favorite part is the Family Hub. We use Alexa and and then we discovered Samsung TV was on it and the weather. My wife spends a lot of time in the kitcen and she always has this going. It has a camera to see what is in the center of the refrigerator on your phone when shopping. Our model does not seem to have front facing camera, which is my only complaint as we use that a lot on the regular Alexa for drop in calls. However we do use it for voice Alexa calls. We are very happy with htis purchase.

Fantantic Refrigerator thus far! Keeps food cold and make them last longer due to the temperature of the all around cooling feature.Very spacious than the last refrigerator can stock more in frige with plenty of room. Yo do have to make sure you open the door all the way so not to bump the food storage drawer against the door. The technology of the touch screen and Samsung Hub feature allows you access to more exeperience with through the refrigerator and kther connected Samasung products and services. The touch screen is a great feature and apps allows connection through wifi for and internet access and listening to music on variyos platforms. The look inside feature is ok but not necessary due to the lack of camera clarity. The freezer has enough space for us to store more food without having store some food in our second freezer. Overall, an excellent refrigerator and we love it and are enjoying it.

We absolutely love it. I play Spotify on it when I’m cooking. Kids play games and draw pictures. You can also connect your ring doorbell camera. We also have family pictures as a screen saver. Very spacious, beautiful design and easy navigation on the touch screen. Great addition to our kitchen.

Kids love to look inside and tell me what they want to eat lol. It looks great and we have had it for a little over a month and its been wonderful. We love that there are no handles! The only down side is that it shows fingerprints badly

Received this beauty and we are very happy with it as we all love anything with gadget to use at home. The fridge is not big inside but it suits our small family of 4. The screen of the fridge is useful as it connects to our ring door bell. Since we hv open living and kitchen area, it helps us to see whoever rings the bell. The rest of functions work well for us. We love the fridge and we also have small chess freezer so the size of this fridge doesn't bother us much.

I find this product to be a nice addition to my kitchen and I love the feature of being able to see inside without opening the door. I can listen to music or surf the net ad pictures and know what's in the frig when I put it in thier and alerts me of experation dates of food. impressive.
The only thing I find a safty hazard is the doors when closing you need to be keenly aware of your hand and where it is because their are no handles, just indentations on both doors. SMASH and the other thing I notice that if you don't watch the placement of you feet especaily if you have no shoes on the clearence at the bottom is enought to injure you foot. However with this knowledge I have had any more accidents with these issue sense I am aware and my actions have become normal with the doors to prevent injury. I hope Samsung Notices this and is working on some kind of safty fix for this.

Best Gift Ever!!!

My husband got this for me as an anniversary present this year. Best Gift Ever! There are so many practical features to use on this refrigerator. I can find a recipe in a crunch, leave a note for my son to take out the trash, watch tv or listen to music while I cook, ask Alexa or Bixby a question, use the internet, see who's at the door using Ring doorbell and those are just the high points, I know that some people might say who needs all of that on a refrigerator but with life getting busier every day they can come in handy. One not-so-great feature is the small amount of space between the two doors. Somehow, once when I closed one of the doors, a couple of my fingers got caught in between the doors. It was very painful and I would advise caution on this point. It's very easy to keep clean. I have left the clear plastic on the screen just to keep it nice for a bit longer. It doesn't interfere with the function and is bearly visible. Given time I could probably find more positives to add.

Love the fridge! It is nice looking and I have been wanting one of these since they came out. Can make shopping lists and view it on my phone. Can see inside the fridge when I'm at the store, can listen to music right on the fridge, leave notes for other family members, set times, view the weather, have a recipe that is on my Samsung phone show on the screen so I dont have to keep waking my phone up to view it. The only issue i have with it is the ice maker. Its is kinda slow on making ice. With a family of 3, we run out pretty quick and it's not even summer.

It is a wonderful refrigerator and very big inside. Fringer prints just wipe off, so easy to keep clean unless you have small children. The only thing I doesn't like is that it produces ice slow and run out quick. Also I can't find games for my grandkids but I'm sure they will figure it out. I love it. Has too many features to list. It took us almost 30 minutes to get it started. Read the manual!!
