I replaced my old Samsung Frig due to the ice maker dying long before it should have. Almost did not use Samsung because of this - there was a recall in my old one, but it was troublesome to pursue. We were also unhappy with the difficulty of keeping fingerprints off the surface. After reading the newer model had corrected these two problems & the fact that we love our other Samsung products - cell phones, watches, TVs & others we took the plunge. We have only had it a few weeks, but could not be more pleased. Especially the Fingerprint Resistant (Black Stainless Steel model) aspect. It really works!!!! No smudges whatsoever!! Looks great. The ice maker works with no problems so far, but only time will tell if that problem (ice freezeups) has actually been corrected. So, we wil give it a thumbs up at this point. Oh, almost forgot - it was on sale & we got a $200 gift card to be used only at Best Buy!! Did not know what the value of the card was until after we paid for the Frig.

Perfect size and layout. Ice maker is no longer working after 2 years (emailing/calling Samsung right now). Ice maker is very slow to dispense ice. Overall a great model and fridge... sucks that the ice maker stopped working after only 2 years of use. It will fill with water but only dump if you use the test button on the ice maker.. otherwise it just sits there and never tells it to dump.

I've owned this fridge now for about 3 years. My biggest complaint is that the water pitcher leaks. It has leaked since day one. The other issue which I'm sure is preventable is that once any sort of liquid gets between the glass surface and plastic. It's a major pain to clean. We had some chicken breast that leaked the liquid and removing plus disassembling some of the shelves were very difficult. Other than that. Plenty of space and looks nice.

    Great fridge, terrible delivery

Bought this refrigerator during the pandemic, the delivery experience had my blood pressure up for days. Best Buy claims all these "CDC and delivery guidelines" are in place, but when your appliance shows up its all smoke and mirrors. One guy at least had a mask on his chin, the other guy didn't even bother trying to pretend to wear one. And the one delivery guy was so rude I almost kicked him out of my house and had him take the fridge with him. But I guess that's a separate review. The fridge itself is wonderful. The design of the ice maker is slim yet wide enough to provide ample ice for a family of 4 without encroaching into the storage space. I had a small gathering of friends (socially distanced) and served cocktails, the ice maker kept up with 3 of us using it non-stop for almost 6 hours. The LEDs add a touch of elegance and my wife and I love the different shelf configurations for storage options. The flex zone is a game changer, most of the items that used to clutter our fridge now have their own dedicated space. The freezer has plenty of room, and its own LED light in the drawer is a nice touch. The overall build quality of the appliance looks and feels premium, and its nice to a have a fridge where magnets actually stick to the front of the doors. The black stainless steel finish is amazing Now for the water pitcher. This was one of the key selling points for my wife and I. Both of us will fill a 40oz water bottle and take it with us before we leave for work, so an auto-fill pitcher was a no brainer. Apparently there is a known issue with the pitcher leaking from the lid. This happened to us as well, and I nearly went mad trying to find a solution online. Supposedly even the replacement pitchers suffer from this same defect. Luckily I found a solution on some message boards: place a rubber band around the seal of the lid to add thickness to the seal. Problem solved. This issue is the only reason I subtracted a star ( I won't blame Samsung for the delivery experience). I got this fridge on sale for $2400, no regrets at that price.

I love the design of this refrigerator. The bottom freezer is spacious and I love the extra drawer for easier access to contents. The refrigerator drawer is convenient for short flatter items with the ability for a variety of temperature abilities for wine, dairy and meat. The main area and doors are designed for easy cleaning and storage. The shelves in the doors are removable great for salad dressings, and condiments the lift the whole tray to set on the table use. There is a water pitcher in the door that automatically refills, great feature!! The shelves in this unit have a mixed review. One narrow shelf flips up to accommodate taller items which I like. Another shelf has half shelf the slides under to accommodate taller items, I prefer the shelf that flips up. Most are easy to remove and clean. Couple of problem areas. One is the bottom shelf with the crisper drawers. The frame of the crisper drawer has a glass shelf that if you have spills, will seep under the glass and that frame is very difficult to remove from the refrigerator to clean. I had to go to You Tube to figure out how to detach and clean. Second is the ice maker!! You have to lift and pull to get the drawer out of the ice maker. If you do not use alot of ice, the bin fills and the cubes freeze together and eventually the dispenser will not work. My solution is to completely empty the ice bin once a week. So far this has worked to keep the ice maker working. Samsung has design issues to address on those two issues and they will have the perfect refrigerator design. I love this refrigerator as I love to cooks and this spacious refrigerator is perfect for high traffic and large families. I have given this excellent rating because I love this design, taking into consideration there are a couple of issues for Samsung and consumers to consider.

This is a great refrigerator, love almost every aspect of it. Works very well, gets very cold, has a ton of storage space. My one complaint is that the ice maker is not great, and the water from the ice maker comes out in a very weak flow. Not sure if there's an adjustment that could be made, but I haven't been able to figure it out so far. That is the only reason this does not get 5 stars. But overall it is a fantastic product.

    Problems with the ice machine

This fridge has a lot of space which is what we needed. We have found that the refrigerated drawer is not very useful for us and would have preferred more main fridge or freezer space. The multi-function right door can be bothersome if we have multiple items store there and accidentally open the first layer of the door and items fall out. The temperature controls and door alarm are nice features. The biggest problem we've had is that the ice machine stops working if we don't use the ice function frequently enough. Online forums suggest that this is a common problem.

This is an outstanding item! There is an enormous amount of space in both the refrigerator area, as well as the freezer compartments! The "cooler/snack" area maintains a constant temperature and can be configured for any one of four settings! Extra freezer space? No problem! Ice cold drinks! So cold! And it is fantastic for thawing frozen meats and vegetables without fear of spoilage! The controls are easy to use and are all in one location in the right-hand wall of the refrigerator compartment. To set any control for the unit, merely unlock the controls and set temperatures for the various compartments, turn icemaker on/off or set the auto-fill pitcher inside the left door to refill after each use. Simple to do! In addition, setting up the WI-FI to control aspects of the unit with a smart phone is a breeze! This unit is very stylish and practical! If you are like me and have numerous magnetic souvenirs collected over the years, there is plenty of space for that on the front and sides! As for the food showcase... I no longer need to open my refrigerator door to grab small, daily-used condiments! All my sauces, mustards, catsup, pickles and mayonnaise are at my fingertips without opening the refrigerator door and letting cold air out into my kitchen. Yes, some cold air escapes using the food showcase door, but much less. This saves energy, which in turn saves a few extra pennies on electrical use. All in all, this is one of my better purchases in the past few years! Found it on sale at approximately 30% off the retail price! The total amount of time from Geek Squad arrival to clean up and departure was about 30 minutes! So easy to install and set up!

Just know the freezer doesnt fully freeze until after 24 hours once installed and the door in door feature sucks because you cant move them to your preferred size. As it is you cant really put beer bottles in the middle drawer it only fits cans and the bottom one you can put 2 gallon size things. Everything else you will have to lay in the fridge because you cant move the shelves and they dont fit things the size of a milk gallon.

Owned it for about s month. It’s proven to have more room than we thought it would. The quick view door and water pitcher are nice options. The ice cubes are a little on the small side and despite the claims, fingerprints are noticeable. Also, a braided stainless steel waterline is required. You can not use your existing nylon water supply line for the water and ice features. Also, it was a little complicating to set the temperatures at first. All in all we are happy with the purchase.

I love the fridge but there’s one thing I dislike about it. Just ONE thing. I hate that when I get ice I get a drip or two of water into my cup before ice cubes being dispensed. Other thank that I love it. It’s so big that I forget there are more compartments in the fridge and when I forget about that, I forget there’s food there. Lol.

Bought this refrigerator as part of an appliance package. Ill be honest, the largest selling feature for me was the built in water pitcher that automatically refills each time you use it. I am a huge water drinker and sometimes the water you get out of the dispenser isn't super cold. With this pitcher you always have cold water available. It can be used to make tea, or fruit infused flavored water. My wife loves the design and the cool zone and bottom freezer are great. I never though this design would hold as much as a traditional side by side or top freezer type but it probably holds more. The adjustable cool zone is great and so is the turbo cool and freeze option ( I know its called something else but that is what I'm calling it) Leave the door open too long, put too much new food inside, activate this mode and it increased the cooling capacity for a few hours to quickly bring the temp down. The fingerprint resistance is great. We have used it a great deal and there are very few prints on it at all. Automatic water cut-off, open door alarm, and the ability to make adjustments from your phone are all great extras! I would definitely buy this model again! and did I mention the built in water pitcher???....

I have gotten complements from friends and family saying they love the color, the feature that the frig has and how spacious it is. I myself love how the inside is set up. The separate door that stores frequent items used such as milk or what ever you wish. The freezer has deep space for freezing food. I also like the fingerprint resistant, my frig always look clean. I love this product.

This refrigerator is a beautiful appliance that works well with any kitchen style. The black stainless steel matches any color combination and is the design is efficient inside and out. The metal cooling plates inside with the showcase door increase cooling efficiency and the shelving style is simple and and yet makes things easy to find. The inside is huge and perfect for a larger family while the middle drawer is perfect for pizzas, casserole dishes and platters. This is the best refrigerator we have ever owned.

I love this fridge. We've had it for a month now and the space is absolutely amazing. We're using the flex drawer this year for our pies and I'm so excited. The freezer is also amazing. I was worried about the deep drawer but got some storage bins that fit beautifully to help things stay in their place. I also read on a review to purchase separate a bin that goes on the inside of the drawer to hold little things. Samsung DA63-07512A Guard-Freezer.

We purchased this appprox. a month ago. Very pleased with the space and the different areas for food. The icebox so far has had no issues as I have heard previous models with the upper ice box of this brand and other brands as well have had melting ice. The middle drawer is not meant to be an optional freezer space as you could be misled to believe, but it is a great space with various settings. We have the stainless steel finish. I would have rather had the option of plain stainless steel without the gloss finish but its still a nice finish. The auto refill pitcher is really great. I find myself drinking more water which is a good thing. The freezer is spacious. We drink quite a bit of coffee and I do like the door in door where I can just grab the milk or creamer without opening completely. I'm sure this is an energy savings. Also if you have your fridge well organized you dont have to open both sides to get to your items. Now what I dont like. I wish the shelves were adjustable in the fridge area and that the cheap plastic in some areas were replaced with a heavier plastic or better yet stainless steel as I have seen in a few similar style refrigerators. Also it appears that a small compartment was available on the freezer door for small items. The tabs to hook the shelf on the freezer door is still there but they do not make the shelf available or I didn't get it with this model. NOT SURE. Overall I am very pleased with this refrigerator and it also looks great in our kitchen.

    Worst ice maker design ever

I’ve had this refrigerator for about 8 months and just finished a 3 hour session with a hair dryer trying to unstick the ice maker for the second time within that 8 month period. For some reason water builds up and freezes inside the ice maker underneath the ice tray and eventually builds to the point where it cannot make ice. The first time it happened, I was able to remove the ice tray and chip away at the frozen bits, so only ended up spending a half hour or so fixing it. This last time, however, so much ice had built up, it took me 2 hours with a hair dryer to melt enough away to yank out the ice tray. I spent another 45 or so minutes chipping away ice and using the hair dryer to fully melt the built up ice. I talked to Samsung support and their solution was to defrost the entire fridge, then set the freezer and fridge 2 degrees colder to prevent it from happening again (so obviously a known issue). I’ll make the temperature changes just so next time I call support I can tell them it’s even done and reoccurred. I found other people reporting the issue online saying the temperature change didn’t fix the ice maker issue for them. On thing I do love about the fridge is the in-door water pitcher. That feature should be standard on all fridges because it is amazing! Apart from the ice maker freezing over every 4 months, its a good fridge. Because of the ice maker issue though, and it apparently being a widespread problem, I wouldn’t recommend anyone purchase any Samsung fridge with this poor design.

This refrigerator is really nice. The conveniences are designed in so as to be relatively seamless to the user. I intend that as a compliment. The door-in-door is more convenient than I thought. I'm not sold on the flex compartment. It's an interesting idea but it sacrifices more space than it pays for in practical convenience. (IMO). It has less internal space than my comparable 3-door had (with virtually identical dimensions. The ice-maker and water dispenser work very well. i had a top off the line LG and the ice maker was entirely in the upper door. If you don't use ice on a near-daily basis the ice maker will freeze up forcing you to dump the frozen block clogging up the ice maker. This pretty new Samsung has been bullet-proof so far , shows no hint of freezing up, and the best bonus is that it's nearly silent in routine operation. My other nit to pick is with the controls. Mine seems to accept initial commands but the interface becomes unresponsive to successive commands. You have to unplug to reboot. Go straight to the adjustment you want and get on with it. Fortunately most of the defaults were good. Hopefully a firm-ware update will resolve the UI issue. It seems weird using a term like firm-ware when talking about a kitchen refrigerator - but here we are...
