Customers are delighted by the ample space and the innovative showcase door of this refrigerator. Many appreciate its quiet operation and the convenient size, along with the attractive design and bright LED lighting. However, some users have reported issues with the ice maker and the stainless steel's susceptibility to fingerprints and smudges; condensation between the doors was also a concern for a few customers.

In a major kitchen remodel, we're replacing appliances and chose Samsung because of prior product references/reviews. BestBuy's price matching & special financing helped seal the deal too. However, had I the chance to select something over again, I would choose something other than this model of refrigerator. Originally thinking that the split door/bottom freezer design was a great idea, in every day use I am not crazy about the french door style though the door-in-door feature is very useful. POSITIVES: cools quickly & evenly; very well lit inside the refrigerator; flexible shelving (though I had a hard time figuring out were to put the eggs); door-in-door feature. NEGATIVES: stainless steel facade is impossible to keep clean, finger print, & spot free; for a very large fridge, it doesn't seem to hold as much as my smaller side-by-side Whirlpool sitting in the garage now; bottom freezer and drawer are awkward to use; there is no light in the freezer, so if you happen to open the refrigerator doors and the freezer it'll not be lighted (the light for the freezer is actually in the bottom of the refrigerator doors). The in-door ice-dispenser/water-dispenser drips after use and leaves a puddle of water in the catch area; cannot reach in to the ice bucket and grab a few cubes (it all comes through the door, or not at all); the door-in-door & split door design lends itself to condensation betwixt the doors, so puddles form at the top of the freezer door; make CERTAIN the installers/deliverers level the appliance and get the doors to line up (we had them out three times to get it right).
Much of this is my own fault as I should have done additional research on the brand and the model/style, but I cannot say that it was a good $2,400+ spent for a fridge. In fact, I had planned to take this refrigerator with us when I move, but I may sell it with the house. I can say that had I to do it over again, I would not have bought this model -- probably would have stayed with a side-by-side, non stainless steel -- though I am happy with the other Samsung brand appliances we bought (so far).

This fridge hasn't worked right in years with an obvious manufacturers defect Samsung wont do anything about. The ice maker freezes up and jams after about a week or 2, there solution is to fully defrost the fridge, how convenient. Then it just died after 5.5 years. What an absolute waste of money.

We have had the Samsung fridge for just over a month. Very roomy inside and quiet as well...our last fridge was GE and the ice maker was very loud and the water line froze often.
As several other reviews pointed out, the left hand door shelves have limited use due to the ice/water dispenser, but we have used it for smaller condiment bottles and juice boxes/pouches for our little one, so no wasted space. We love the ability to just open the front of the door and access things like the milk and cream without opening the entire door.
The one drawback is the fingerprints. Our previous fridge was coated and didn't show the many fingerprints of our 3 year old. I'm not as bothered by it as my wife is, but seeing it in the sun does make it very obvious.

Looks great and runs so quietly it can only be heard if one is standing right next to it! Ice drops excepted but they're not bad. Installation and set-up was totally idiot proof. Read the other 5 star reviews for all the detailed technical and feature reportage, all of which I agree with. Okay, it isn't perfect but so close as to make no difference. The crushed ice feature could be a little better and the stainless steel front won't hold most magnets. At this price point virtually all of the units on the market are very good, here's why I chose this Samsung model: The shelves are so cleverly laid out that the unit will hold virtually anything, including large watermelons. The crispers and door storage are second to none. And the full width drawer allows storage options that make this the most versatile refrigerator I've ever seen or owned. The roominess and outstanding lighting make it easy to see everything inside. The door-in-door feature is way more practical (and green) than I imagined. Putting the frequently used items in there really reduces the cold air loss when they are accessed. The freezer has tons of space and opening it is a breeze. Controls for setting the fridge & freezer temps are on the door's info panel and are easy to set. Tap the panel & the temps are displayed. It is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. LOVE IT!

we upgraded our kitchen appliances and started with finding a new fridge. We love the look, design, lighting of this fridge. It has plenty of room for all we need. Both my kids and I love the showcase door. It's a great way to grab a quick drink. I wish the freezer door pulled out a little further but that is a minor issue. The water/Ice dispenser works good. There is an occasional drip but can be wiped up easily. The fridge is quiet compared to our 13 year old fridge that was replaced. Overal, we are very happy with the purchase.

I had this fridge for a month now and I like it. It runs quietly and has a great feature of setting the led lights on permanently for the water dispenser, which helps a lot in the dark. The showcase door is awesome, we can store everything we need for breakfast there and don't have to fully open the doors. The only downside is the moisture forming in between the doors if left on energy efficiency for longer than a week, which is annoying because once a week have to remove the energy efficient feature for a day.

The good:
Great lighting. Non magnetic front. Consistent, soft crushed ice. Excellent illumination in this fridge. Looks modern. Feels like it has more usable storage than a side by side unit. Did I say that this fridge has great lighting?
The bad:
to much pressure on the water dispenser - it does not matter what direction you hold your glass, water will shoot out into the drain and pool in the water catch. It will sit there until evaporation or your OCD takes over.
The soda can holder on the top makes 0 sense. It is impossible to store cans in the "designated can storing area" and remove them from the 3rd door handle.
The ice dispenser is slow but inconsistent. After a few idle hours, you will receive a surprise squirt of water before ice is dispensed. However, its ice production will satisfy a family of 5.
The meat drawer slams closed no matter how stealthy you are trying to be.
The shelving height is none adjustable.
H20 Filter requires supply line disconnect... odd in 2015.
Really odd shelf sizing with the solid/liquid H2O dispenser on the left side. Can only fit special, expensive artisan condiments.
Summary:
Bring a bottle of A1 with you to the showroom floor before you buy.

To the point...the preview door is pretty cool. We have milk, coffee creamer, and a couple other things that haven't found a better home in the fridge yet stored here. For the few things we seem to reach for a lot it is a nice feature. The side by side doors are also nice to grab something or search for something w/o standing in front of the entire thing opened up. The shelves on the left side door are pretty small and we've had to rethink what stays inside versus the 2nd garage fridge b/ it doesn't all fit and the shelves are small. No big salad dressing bottles or mayo etc will fit. The right side door shelves can handle some of those items but nearly as many items fit on all of the shelves as our older unit. The main shelves are quite nice and cN be Djusted to accommodate taller items. It feels roomy and makes up for the limited door shelling. The lower freezer unit is also roomy and with the sliding shelf above the spacious basket style storage below, it offers a decent amount of organizational options

We've had our Samsung - Showcase 27.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator for almost a month and we love it. Some of the other reviews complained about noisy ice maker and ours isn't, crushed ice feature clogging the ice from dispensing which it doesn't. We have so much room and our fruits, veggies, cheeses and lunch meats stay fresher alot longer. Freezer has plenty of space as well. Really like the pocket on the door, perfect size for reusable ice packs. Showcase door is great for my kids to snacks out of without opening the whole fridge. All around great fridge!

We were expecting a quality product, and we loved the design and several of the features, but it is even better than we anticipated. The door in door is an awesome feature. When we looked at the fridge I thought it was cool, but so much space is opened up on the shelves. It seems that there is much more room than in our previous fridge. We are also convinced it is keeping food better for longer. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is that the doors are slightly crooked and they weren't able to be straightened. That said, it's noticeable only because we see it every day and I'm just one of those people. Also, it would be great if the freezer door tilted down for easier access to the food. But I would absolutely recommend this fridge and would buy another if we ever needed to.

The refrigerator is very quiet, except for the times it drops ice. It is very modern looking and has lots of shelf space. There is a very large amount of storage space in the freezer. The door-in-door feature is very nice. The only disappointment is that although there is a lot of storage space in the refrigerated section, quite a bit of it is nearly unusable. Several shelves/racks are too narrow or too short to accommodate all but a few small or thin items. There is only one small shelf that will accommodate tall items. And the storage space behind that is not easily accessible if you have tall items in front of it. We still have plenty of storage space for our needs though. I feel like we made a good choice of refrigerators.
One other thing--don't remove the water filter unless you have to. On a whim I removed it just to see how easy it would be to put it back in when I have to replace it. Due to the water pressure it cannot be put it unless the water line to the refrigerator is turned off. I had to pull the refrigerator out to turn off the water. Fortunately the flooring did not get damaged when I moved the refrigerator!

Great size & very quiet. One problem: water dispenser always leaks after anyone gets a glass of water from it-not a constant leak, just for a short time afterwards. Otherwise, love this fridge.

I've only had the fridge for a week, but so far it's marvelous. The space is perfect for us, and the freezer is sufficient (this was one of my concerns going from a side-by-side to a drawer freezer. The fridge is quiet in general, the ice cubes do make a bit of a racket when they fall, but I think I'll get used to it and since we use ice rarely, it doesn't fall all that often. My favorite thing is the shelf that "folds up" so I can store tall items like wine. My least favorite thing is that the bins on the left door are extremely small and oddly shaped, leading to some wasted space. However, this is a very minor complaint and I didn't detract a star because I knew what I was getting into, having seen it in the store. I'm pleased with the product. A couple of things to note on the purchasing side: 1) Pro, the fridge went down in price by $200 less than 2 weeks after I bought it, Best Buy refunded the difference directly to my card with no complaint or issue. 2) Con: Sales person did not properly represent installation rules. We were told that it would be no issue to move our existing fridge to the basement by the store sales representative. Installers flatly refused to move it down stairs saying it was a liability issue. Additionally, they almost didn't install the water because "they had never seen water hooked up like that" however, they did eventually figure it out. (My house was built in 2000, not 1900, and it all looked pretty standard to me). 3) Best buy bonus points were also misrepresent by the sales person. I was told that by signing up I would automatically receive 10% of the purchase in bonus points and then I had a choice of an additional 5% or 18 months financing. I chose the 5% for what I thought would be total of 15% (a nice chunk of money for Chistmas gifts) but was informed when I called to find out why only 5% had showed up that the TOTAL would be 10%. I'm going to go argue with a store manager on this one because the sales person should not have told me 15% bonus points and also that the installers would move the existing fridge down stairs.

The bottom freezer doesn't pull out far enough making it difficult to fill as well as see what is on the top freezer shelf & it doesn't have a light. Also, because the ice/water feature takes up so much room there is no door shelf space to speak of. This is where I formerly stored salad dressings, condiments, etc. & now I have to devote an entire shelf to them - leaving less room for food items. The outside of the fridge shows everything - constantly cleaning off fingerprints - it is NOT fingerprint resistant. On the plus side - keeps a good steady temperature and food stays fresher longer. Each veggie bin has it own humidity setting & the deli tray has it's own temp. control - again allowing food to stay fresher longer. The ice is a pretty good size & it refills quickly (& there are 8 of us). The water tastes good & the water filter is very conveniently located. Not sure if I like the door-in-door feature - jury's still out on that. Although the French doors really look good - in hindsight if I were to do it again I think I would stay with the double door/top freezer because although this fridge is larger than my last one (27 vs 20 cf) because of the configuration of the shelves, etc. I just don't seem to have as much room in it.

This is the first new fridge that my wife or I ever purchased. So far this fridge has been a great addition to our home. Its quiet but not silent. The lighting is excellent. It gets things cold quick. My only request would be to have a greater range to adjust the shelves. There is not a good spot to fit a milk gallon. If I raise up the mid shelve to accommodate I might as well take it out because there's so little room. Anyway not a deal breaker, but we do love our milk, and if I were to do it over I would literally bring a clean empty 1 gallon milk jug to the store and test fitment. LOL for real not a bad idea.....

This model is a Consumer Reports "recommended model" and has far exceeded my expectentations !
Love the convenience door, never realized how little the main fridge gets used by kids and myself, mainly just grabbing drinks.
My wife loves the space, the built in storage, and said that the fridge does an excellent job keeping the "cool" balanced and the "cold" from over freezing. Too funny, didn't know there was such a thing.
Only area for improvement is the ice maker. Definitely not bad but not as good as my brothers Kenmore Pro but also not as expensive.

Refrigerator looks great & even though it is cabinet-depth, it can hold quite a lot of stuff. Refrigerator is quiet & temperature is maintained evenly on shelves & doors. Freezer section is divided up to provide ample storage space.
