    Sort the reviews by "Most recent". You will see that most customers giving good reviews haven't had this product for 2 years or more. Those that give bad reviews, have had this fridge for a few years at least. I had this fridge for about 4 years. I had to have it "repaired" for ice maker issues (CLEARLY a defect that Samsung refuses to admit). I had it covered for one repair via GeekSquad, then had to pay out of my pocket for the same repair a year later. Once it started malfunctioning (with the SAME ISSUE mind you) a 3rd time, I decided to sell it. Much like a boat purchase, the two best days I had this fridge was when I bought it and when I sold it. NEVER will I buy a Samsung Refrigerator again, unless of course, I want a pool in my kitchen and a sound machine I can hear throughout my house. The irony in all this is that the ice machine is title "ICE MASTER". It says it on the ice machine. It is not an ice master by any stretch of the imagination. I was just like you once, looking at reviews, ignoring the bad ones. "My Samsung Fridge will be okay", I said to myself. "I won't have problems like those people." Trust me. You will. Do not buy this product. Go with Whirlpool or GE, but NEVER a Samsung fridge. Please, for how much money you would have to put into to simply buy it, heed my words. There are many better fridges out there for the same price or even less!

    This refrigerator was delivered on 3/16/17 with a hole in the seal of the freezer so an exchange refrigerator was delivered on 3/21/17. It worked fine for 4 days! On the 5th day the refrigerator set itself to 25 degrees. Also the ice maker began sounding like the garbage disposal! When we tried to remove the ice bucket, we found it to be impossible! To add insult, when I phoned Samsung after receiving MINOR help, I received a phone call 10 minutes later...a recording from Samsung asking me to please stay on the line and I would be connected to the next available agent...after 31 minutes of this I hung up. A second call to Samsung results in getting a promise to have a technician come out on 3/30/17...no time frame just a date. This call ended and five minutes later the recording phone call came to us again asking us to please hold...we got smarter and only waited five minutes before hanging up. We are waiting to see what the technician says (or if he even shows up) before going back to Best Buy and seeing about an exchange for another brand.

    I bought this expensive refrigerator from Sears in 2012. the ice maker is the worse. within 3 month it stopped making ice. Sears came to repair this replaced the ice maker. it started working 2 month later stopped replaced all mechanism starts working again. 8 months later stopped again replaced again 3rd time. 1 year later out of warentee called Samsung they refused to do anything about it. Called local appliance dealer had it replaced $595. Broke again within in 2 months. I looked up this refrigerator and not only this one, but other Samsung units have had many problems with the ice maker and Samsung is doing nothing about it. I would not buy this refrigerator or any Samsung if i was you. It was a $4,000 cost with no ice. They have terrible products

    I have had my refrigerator for just over two years. I thoroughly researched my purchase. All reviews that I could find at the time were very positive. Now, there are negative reviews EVERYWHERE. My freezer is leaking all over my floor every time I open the refrigerator door and the fan is making a loud annoying humming noise. Youtube has all kinds of suggestions to fix these issues, HOWEVER, I should not have to take an entire freezer apart within two years of purchase. Samsung should be fixing these issues. I also have the washing machine that had a recall due to risk of impact injuries. My Samsung dishwasher soap dispenser door doesn't open during the wash cycle and my convection oven fan is no longer operational. I love my Samsung TVs, but I'll never buy another appliance with their name on it.

    Loud buzzing noise from area of icemaker

    Less than 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF28HDEDBSR French Door refrigerator. It was a high dollar model, I wanted a product that would be dependable. Here it is five years later, a technician told me the icemaker had to be replaced. I did that, not too happy about that expense, and now the refrigerator is making an even louder buzzing/humming noise. FYI: This is after I had replaced my Samsung dishwasher and had problems with my Samsung stove. Their customer service shown to me thus far has been poor. I would NOT purchase a Samsung product again.

    TVs are better than refrigerators. I expected a much better product. Its cooling right but freezer and ice maker are a BS. I been running to 7-11 to have ice every time I need it. The technician has been working hard to fix this issues, but still doing the same, not making ice, not freezing good enough. WARNING!! DONT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR. I called four times to service it for the same problem and now Best Buy just canceled my protection plan a year before it get expire. WHY????

    We purchased an entire kitchen set of Samsung appliances from Best Buy in November 2016, including this refrigerator. Since then, the ice maker has spent more time frosted over and not working, than it has spent actually making ice. I'm fed up, and of course it's out of warranty. After doing more research, I don't think I'll ever buy another Samsung fridge, as they apparently ALL have ice maker issues. Very disappointed.

    Take my advise and do not buy samsung. I bought this fridge and after 2 years of purchasing it the icemaker went dead. Called to repair and was told it will cost me over $700 to repair. I called Samsung to see if they would honor their warranty because it went bad right after it expired and they were horrible and told me No. Not 1 person at samsung customer service cared that my fridge wasn’t operating normal in a 2 year timeframe. They dont care about their customers obviously, I will never buy a samsung product again!

    Bought mine in Dec 2014. Problems started 6 months later, with BB coming 5 times already to 'try' to fix it. Samsung warranty (10 years) is a joke. Almost everything has been replaced, but the noise (very loud) is constant and annoying. BB is going to replace it as I bought BB warranty, but it will cost me $250 (better than $2000 for a new fridge). Buy Samsung at your own risk! And if you do so, be sure to buy BB warranty as you will certainly use it.

    Do not waste your money on Samsung refrigerators ice maker constantly stops working because of a poor design. They claim they do not know of any problems even with the thousands of complaints about the ice makers. Customer service was zero help. Not sure if I can hold out long enough for the class action law suit. One of these days I will end up running a screwdriver through my hand while chipping away the ice build up. DO NOT BUY.

    After 3 yrs the ice make stop working and the unit dose not give water Samsung gives you the run around. I have had problems with my dishwasher and refrigerator at the same time. I will not buy Samsung products ever again

    Just took delivery of this model and the service was a big disappointment. They couldn't connect my water line to the fridge and telling me because it was plastic and the fridge is copper. Ok, so I took his word and call up my water guy to come and install it for me. My water guy told me that there should have been an adapter that comes with the fridge to install and usually the installer would not provide it and sell it at Ebay for $25. So I called customer service and they told me that the dispatcher noted there were no water line when it was installed. WTF!

    Bought this refrigerator in 2015. 4 years later, I'm going to buy a new one. Samsung is worthless for support. The Freezer Coil is freezing over and apparently is a known issue with these machines. The repair guy says Samsung is notorious for these failures. And best part, its a defect so there is no real way to fix it. Love spending thousands on a POC... BUYER BEWARE!!!

    Junk. Lasted 3 months. Now I'm dealing with Samsung repair B.S. Two weeks in July with no fridge. Garbage product, garbage customer service. A real company would have just replaced it. Spend a little more and buy a quality brand. I wish I did...
