    The refrigerator looked great, but once delivered, it did not work. They came out to look at it, and said it was a bad/faulty compressor. I then had to go back to the store for a return/exchange and wait an additional week for the new one.

    This refrigerator was part of a package of appliances we purchased last December 2020. I was amazed at the lack of usable space compared to my old refrigerator of the same size. Changing the water filter turned out to be more difficult than I expected, too. Unfortunately, the water has to be turned off before the filter can be changed! No easy task to accomplish, either. It is easy to clean, though.

    I purchased this frig for 600 dollars in the open box department! Brand new with no defects. This frig is for the garage anyway.

    I went through 5 refrigerators and none of them worked. This model was absolutely horrible for the use of ice and water. Bestbuy and a private contractor teied to make it work by checking the pressure in my house, holding the water button, even as far as just leaving a heavy rock in place to run the water. NOTHING WORKED!

      If you just received the unit, please ensure it is not in demo mode. It will look like it is ON but is on the showroom demo mode. This mode will disable the cooling system in your refrigerator, freezer, and ice maker. This mode is not for storing food. Any food stored in the fridge will spoil.

      Trying to judge whether the refrigerator is cooling enough can be difficult. Still, the two most common guidelines are that the display will blink or show an error code if it detects something is wrong, or food will be spoiling before its expiration date.     Replacement for our 13 LG fridge that served very well. Our new fridge is a very good family size and it does have what we need as we use lots of ice and water.

    After a year and a half the freezer stopped working. Trying to deal with Samsung is a pain as they charge you 200 dollars to send out a tech to say “yes, it is broke.” The tech also said it should be under warranty since it is a sealed system problem but you are still charged. The ice maker also stopped making ice about a month before the freezer went out. Essentially Samsung only backs their product for one year because spending 2,000 dollars on a fridge you should only expect it to last a year.
