This Samsung G60SF OLED monitor with HDR has a beautiful glare-free display picture plus great specs for competitive gaming- .03ms response time, 500Hz refresh rate QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and FreeSync premium technology. There's no glitches or stutters when game playing. Setup of this monitor is very easy, no tools required - insert & rotate the arm into the base and snap-in the arm into the screen and you're ready to go. While I don't like having to use a power adapter (more clutter) that powers this monitor, there's actually a good reason to have one - it helps keep heat away from heat sensitive OLED technology and also is easier to replace if it goes bad compared to a monitor that has an internal power adapter (power adapters convert AC to DC). The monitor stand is ergonomic - the screen can be tilted, rotated, and raised & lowered. The construction overall is high quality, and the large, heavy, flat metal base provides good stability. It's also wall mountable (VESA Standard 100mm x 100mm). The screen itself is attractive with its slim metal design and there's an RGB LED ring on the back that can be customized - rainbow, aurora, static, etc to enhance the display setup. Ports include 2 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x headphone jack, and a USB hub with 1 x USB-B (upstream power) and 2 x USB-A 3.2 Gen1. One thing I like about the ports is that they're rear facing (as opposed to downward facing) making them easy to plug in to. Samsung has an app - Samsung Display Mgr that can be downloaded to change many display/game settings, but the button/joystick OSD (On-Screen Display) control is still needed to turn on/off many settings. The joystick is fairly straightforward and easy to use - left, right, up, down, press to activate or select. Included with the monitor are power brick & cable, and HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB A to B cables. It has a 3-year warranty as opposed to the standard 1 year most electronics offer. The monitor is pricey but competitive and what you have to pay to get an OLED/HDR with high-end gaming specs. If you can afford it, it's worth it, and it won't disappoint you.

I had never used an OLED before this year, but after getting a bit familiar, and now after having some time with this one, I can safely say I don’t think I ever want to go back. This monitor delivers a very high-quality image, looks great, is feature-rich, with a somewhat ridiculous refresh rate, and more or less is everything I am looking for in a monitor. More on that later. Build-wise, it is all nicely done. I guess what you would expect from Samsung. Easy to get set up, solid, and a nice weight. The entire monitor is quite thin. Range of motion is somewhat limited, but for my needs this is not an issue. While I am not really a fan of LED and things that are overly “gamery,” I think the lighting provided on the back is done well, and somewhat subtle when in use. I do also appreciate it can be turned off. When it comes to look? I really like it. Black (mostly). Clean. Plain. Modern. Some would say boring, which is somewhat perfect for me. The stand is also rather basic looking, again, I like but it is also compact. Placement on a desk should not be an issue in any way. Cables can also be channeled here. Overall, it just has a clean look. My only wish would be that they just made it all black. The stand is less of a concern, but I just am not sure why they decided to frame the panel in silver. It is not an issue, really, but it just takes away from the overall look to me. Connectivity is solid, but perhaps a bit basic. 2 HDMI 2.1, 1 Display Port 1.4, Headphone Jack, and a couple of USB-A ports. I would imagine most should be covered and happy here, but I would not have minded seeing a USB-C as well, given its usefulness and this monitor being premium in many ways. As for the picture quality, the most important aspect I was looking for, well, they simply did not miss. Full stop. It is fantastic. Details are crispy and sharp. Colors are full, detailed, and very accurate. HDR noticeable. Content is vivid and bright, while the blacks are inky, and probably the best I have seen in my daily use. Beyond that though, performance is just as fantastic. The refresh rate coupled with the response time is a wonderful combination and just feels great together. I have not experienced any tearing, flickering, lag, just anything so far while gaming. Everything has been extremely smooth as well as consistent. As expected, it also is great just in the day to day, be it general life tasks or media consumption. Lastly, and perhaps I am in the minority here, but I prefer matte screens. I can not stand glare. Not sure exactly what they are doing here tech wise, but I like it. As a whole, I really could not ask for more or be happier here. Additionally, given the nature of OLED technology, it is nice to see Samsung providing some features to prevent burn in and take care of the monitor. I iike so much about this monitor, and I know this is personal thing, but I just wish it had speakers. I know many will use headphones or external speakers, and I do often used headphones myself, but it would just be nice to be able to casually watch something and have native sound from the monitor. I guess this is the market know, but I think it is a bit of a miss. That said, ultimately, I am very happy with this monitor and like it very much. It is well-built, is so close to perfect looking to me, has some quality features, and delivers a truly wonderful image, which, in the end, is most important to me. Despite my desire for speakers, or some of my other minor nitpicks, for the performance and all that you get, I think there is real value here.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 Gaming Monitor is a powerhouse next gen monitor that brings you the next level of gaming standards you will grow to expect in a gaming monitor. This monitor is the 27" model. It has G-Sync AND Freesync which lets you get a whopping 500hz refresh rate and an absolutely unheard of .03ms response time. Those specs will get any gamer excited! Out of the box, the setup is pretty easy to attach the base to the stand and monitor. This monitor swivels so it can be rotated, has a slider in the stand that lets you adjust the overall height, and for the trifecta, it also tilts up and down to get you the perfect viewing angle. Overall the panel is fairly thin for what it packs inside. The base is sturdy and the quality feels high in the types of materials used and weight. After getting your power cord and DisplayPort or HDMI cable hooked up to your computer, when the monitor powers on, it is breathtaking to see the visuals. Even though the monitor only outputs in 1440p, its refresh and HDR make the image so stunning. The colors are extremely vibrant and with the Trueblack HDR settings, the quality has never looked better! You do have to tweak some settings in the Nvidia or Radeon Menus to get the picture just like you want it, but that is easy enough. Gaming changes everything. Again, it is only able to output 1440p, but the other features will put you ahead of any 4k gaming. With the 500hz refresh, I am able to get the drop on seeing other players in CoD and Rainbow Six. The .03 response time, I am able to react and act quicker, and make sure my input counts. The frame rates in the games has also improved significantly and finding almost no jutter or lag in any game play scenarios. You are also able to adjust some settings within the monitor menu to help get the picture you need. All of that work means the display can get pretty hot. One great feature of this monitor is that it uses cooling pipes and a condenser that help cool the monitor and also include multiple features to avoid any cases of burn in. It is also quite a bit of a power hog and does not meet any energy star ratings. There are no speakers on the monitor, and that may be about the only thing I am upset that this monitor does not ahve. Overall I absolutely love this monitor and can't wait to see what the future holds for specs. I highly recommend for anyone that loves their gaming!

    Excellent Monitor for Serious Gamers

Well, Samsung is at it again! Every year Samsung keeps upgrading and making gaming monitors better and more advanced. Samsung recently released their 27" Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) QHD 500Hz monitor and yes, you saw it right it is a 500Hz display. Let me explain why the latter part matters for us gamers and for anyone who appreciates top-notch display technology. In short, it matters because OLED tech and in this case QD-OLED plus extremely high refresh rate creates motion clarity you simply can’t get from lower Hz displays, even if your eyes can’t consciously “see” every frame. It is also not about more frames this display pumps out, the reduction of "micro-motion" blur is achieved by combining the near-instant pixel response of OLED technology with an ultra-high refresh rate. So at 500 Hz, OLED panels can fully utilize their fast pixel switching speed of approximately 0.03ms. In contrast, LCDs hit a bottleneck with pixel response well before reaching 500 Hz. In the end, you get improved motion clarity and reduced smearing allow for more stable aiming, especially in fast-paced FPS games. This Samsung display achieves just that, it is a superb monitor and for me 27" of QD-OLED beauty is all I need. It fits perfectly on my desk, the monitor is well-built (I like its premium metal‑accented design) and game play has been a joy. I think that mixing QD-OLED's pure color with 500 Hz speed gives you a visual experience that's really something else, featuring: - Absolutely no ghosting - Zero overshoot - No need for that annoying backlight strobing One thing I wish Samsung introduced a 4K model in this size and HDR Brightness could be a bit higher and may matter to some, but it is definitely not a deal breaker. It is definitely one of the best I have ever owned and I look forward to turning it on and playing games (Valorant, CS2, Apex, Overwatch) on it. Give it a try and see what I mean.

The Samsung - 27" Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) QHD 500Hz 0.03ms G-Sync Compatible and Free Sync Prem Pro Gaming Monitor with HDR 500 - Silver is an absolutely gorgeous display with super-fast refresh rates for gaming and ultra black levels that just make everything pop like you've never experienced in other monitors. It will amaze you the first time you see the difference! I have had several Samsung monitors over the years and have always had great experiences with them. This is by far the best picture quality I've ever seen in a PC display. It's like you put on a pair of glasses for the first time and are seeing everything in ultra clarity and definition with vibrant colors! The ultra black levels compared to other non-OLED monitors are striking. The first time I loaded a game up and saw the difference it just blew my mind! It is a premium price to pay for a monitor, but when you see the difference, you will instantly feel like you made the right decision. The anti-glare technology they are using works perfectly and eliminates any glare issues if you're in a room with bright light sources. The OLED Safeguard+ is a nice feature as well to protect against monitor burn-in. I recently upgraded to the Nvidia 5080 GPU and this monitor perfectly pairs with that with it's ultra-fast refresh rate and G-Sync support! It's nice that it also supports the AMD Free sync technology if for some reason I want to try that platform in the future! The 2K resolution is a sweet spot for this size monitor as well. Gameplay is smooth as silk and just looks incredible! I'm not a huge fan of the horizontal ports on the back and definitely prefer the ports to be vertically aligned. The cables end up sticking straight out and it doesn't look as clean and stresses the cables and ports in my opinion. The number of ports on the back seems acceptable. 1 DP and 2 HDMI for video with a headphone jack and a couple USB ports. The RGB lighting on the back is ok but seems a little gimmicky to me and doesn't make a huge difference in my opinion of this monitor. The stand seems solid and it's nice you can rotate the display 90 degrees, swivel it side to side or change the tilt angle up and down. It also moves up and down for height adjustment. I prefer monitors that use just a normal PC power cable instead of having an external power brick, but it's understandable with the thinness of the display that they had to go that route. I've misplaced power bricks for monitors in the past so it's just another thing to keep track of when moving things. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to one of these displays today! You will not believe your eyes when you see the difference :)

i’ve been using the Odyssey OLED G6 for a couple weeks now and I can honestly say this is the most impressive monitor ive ever owned. I upgraded from a 240hz IPS display and didnt expect it to feel this different, but the jump is huge. The 500hz refresh rate sounds like overkill at first but once you use it, you understand why it exists. Everything feels insanely smooth, even just moving windows around or scrolling feels cleaner. In games its even more noticeable, especially in fast shooters where everything responds instantly. the OLED panel is easily the best part tho. The blacks are actually black, not that weird gray glow you get on regular monitors. It makes games look way more realistic and immersive, especially darker scenes. Colors also look incredible, very vibrant but not fake looking. Watching videos and youtube on this thing looks amazing too, sometimes I catch myself just staring at how good everything looks which sounds dumb but its true. another huge thing is the motion clarity. There’s basically zero ghosting or blur, even when moving fast. On my old monitor fast movement would get slightly blurry and I didnt really notice it until switching to this. Now everything stays sharp and clear no matter how fast things are moving. It makes gaming feel more precise and smooth overall. the design is also really clean and premium looking. The screen itself is super thin and feels high quality. The stand is sturdy and doesnt wobble, and it was easy to set up. The RGB lighting on the back is subtle but looks really nice at night. It just feels like a premium product when its sitting on your desk. brightness is better than I expected for an OLED too. I was worried it wouldnt be bright enough but its been totally fine even during the daytime. Viewing angles are perfect as well, the image doesnt fade or change when looking from different positions. one thing to keep in mind is you do need a powerful PC to fully use the 500hz. Your not gonna hit that in every game unless you have strong hardware. But even when not hitting max refresh rate, it still feels smoother and looks better than anything else ive used. overall the Odyssey OLED G6 completely ruined other monitors for me. Everything from the smoothness, colors, response time, and overall image quality is just better. It makes gaming more enjoyable and even normal desktop use feels nicer.

27" Odyssey G6 QHD 240Hz 0.03ms G-Synx compatible Gaming Monitor with sleek metal stand is just beautiful when it's not even powered on, but when it is, you're met with beautiful visuals. The colors are amazing, the blacks are very black, and the pixel density is full HD, which makes it mind-blowing. And the 240 Hertz refresh rate will keep you in the game. I noticed no lag when playing Call of Duty. The monitor kept up with all the action in online multiplayer. This is mainly because of AMD FreeSync, which keeps up with your PC's processing speeds, offering no lag, choppiness, or pixelization. And glare-free technology helps because of this less-glossy construction—a significant improvement over regular anti-reflective coatings. The metal construction looks very sleek, and the well-placed ports at the back are easy to reach. Ports USB type-B Upstream, USB type - Downstream/SERVICE, USB Type -A Downstream headphone OUT, 2HDMI, DP IN AND POWER. They've also incorporated a nice cooling system, a pulsating heat pipe, that keeps the monitor cooler for long periods and helps stop screen burn-in. And it has a three-year warranty, so that helps keep the worry down. Samsung really brought their A game with this one. I recommend you check one out.

    My First OLED Monitor

I hate and love to say it. This monitor has ruined my other monitors. It is really that good. I have not tested out the 500hz refresh yet, so some of these comments might not be accurate at that refresh rate but at the 240 and 120 hz refresh rate. The image quality is superb. I have an older 32 inch 1440p panel and a 2 year old 4k 32 inch panel both from Samsung. This 27inch OLED Monitor absolutely destroys my other monitors. Even at 1440p resolution. The OLED and actual HDR image is better than the 4k panel I have been using daily for the past 2 years. I am a little hesitant for the long-term use case as it is an OLED panel but they are saying the new oleds don't experience burn in. I will edit this review if/when my OLED Monitor experiences burn in. (Hopefully never) The 0.03 ms image generation and high refresh has made this the only gaming monitor I use in competitive titles like Valrant, CSGO, Rocket League. I was not expecting much from this as it is only 1440p resolution. Dont be fooled. The image is better than most 4k monitors on the market. Great build quality. Bezels are slightly thicker than you expect for a modern screen worth noting but not a complaint.

If you're in the market for a upgrade to you monitor, Samsung does another decent job at making more stuff that'll make them take out money. From a purely monitor spec perspective, this one comes in pretty nicely with 0.03 ms response time, 500Hz refresh rate and G-Sync. I'm slowly trying to update my screen layout with slightly smaller screens like this 27" monitor just for usability and scaling efforts. Personally, 32" is my sweet spot but I'm slowly getting used to this size monitor. Has all the usual hook ups one would need/expect in a monitor. I currently have a 14900k/5090 so this monitor can't keep up but it does a decent job nonetheless. Quality and clarity on the monitor is quite excellent and I have no complaints about it. Even at 1440p, still and very rich and vibrant screen display that'll work on any game. Now, I'm debating on using this monitor as a side monitor since I do have 2 ultra wide's as my main displays. Even then, the quality of the monitor is still good for use as a main or side monitor depending on your needs.
