I was looking to replace an older Samsung 2.1 Soundbar. I heard the HW-QT70 Soundbar in BestBuy and it outperformed several others. The setup was easy, no problem getting the subwoofer paired. The difference is noticeable with dialogue in movies being much clearer and crisp with the HW-QT70. Sound effects are great, I started with Adaptive Surround mode and left the Subwoofer settings at default. Very pleased with the purchase.

Sounds good but it’s buggy. Arc doesn’t always work.

Great product and very easy to set-up. Only issue that I have run into this and with other Samsung TV and sound products is that there is sometimes a lag in the audio output and the television set. It's not always, and I'm not sure if that's the case with similar product as well, but you need to research how to time it back out.

As advertised...brought my tv to life. and without expensive in wall and ceiling speaker installation.

Firstly to note if you are an audiophile this soundbar obviously is not for you as it will never be able to beat a true surround sound system, but for the general user that does not want wires running everywhere, this soundbar will fit the bill perfectly. In my living room, I had a Sonos Beam that I was looking to move to the bedroom, but I was looking for something a bit bigger with a little more output to replace it in the living room to which this soundbar worked perfectly. Out of the box, you can definitely tell it is a quality soundbar as it is very sturdy and solid. The narrow shape is also nice visually as opposed to having a blocky soundbar under your tv. The remote is the traditional Samsung remote to which out of all the major tv manufacturers I do enjoy these sleek Samsung remotes the best. The other great aspect of this soundbar was the included mount as many times (especially with Sonos) you have to pay an additional $50-$100 just for an additional mount. Moving onto the actual sound quality. I first tested this in a room conducive to the use of the Dolby Atmos, as my living room has vaulted ceilings, to which you can definitely tell that there is a sense that sound is coming from multiple directions, though not as pronounced as my traditional theater setup. I was pleasantly surprised by the bass though as I did not expect much from a 6 1/2 woofer, but by increasing the bass volume to +2 it was definitely prominent without drowning out the other aspects of the audio. Upon watching a variety of movies I never had any issues with dialogue and all the mids seemed to be right on par. After my testing, I moved the soundbar into my living room to which the Dolby Atmos was not prominent once again just due to the vaulted ceilings, but everything else seemed to remain fairly consistent sound-wise. My wife listens to a lot of music through the soundbar to which she is very happy with the sound as she said she definitely prefers it over the Beam we originally were using. The only downside of this soundbar is the lack of Google Assistant as I would prefer that over Amazon Alexa, but by using a Harmony Remote this does alleviate the issue. Overall, for the price, I think that this is a solid soundbar with all the features you would look for in this range. Obviously a full theater system would sound better or moving up price-wise to the Sonos ARC would topple this, but then you would have to fork out the extra for the sub as well. So definitely in this mid-tier price range, you can`t go wrong with this model from Samsung.

Very nice system! Quality sound and ease of usage.

This is a very fine product but a little costly too. The nice feature is that the user can adjust all the treble and base sound settings to suit them. BTW, Samsung tech support is fantastic. I have used them a dozen times in the past month and its free, fast, and the tech support are highly competent. I wasted money paying for Best Buy Geek Squad service.

This soundbar was very easy and fast to set up, adds a lot better sound than just the tv speakers
