    Debated for a while between this, the Sonos Arc, and Bose 300 for our living room. This was on super sale, did a lot of research, and spoke to a number of people in store between a couple visits -I was buying a cheaper sound bar for our basement bar. This won out, and I’m super happy with it. Fantastic sound, huge fan

    Outstanding sound quality for the price and for such a simple set-up system (one sound bar plus subwoofer)! Also, it syncs up with the Samsung Q800T QLED 8K Smart TV stereo speakers which allows for a richer quality sound experience; especially when watching movies. Economical and superb quality!

    Sounds GREAT when it works. I bundled this with a Q80T 75" Samsung (which is over the top) and had it hooked into the HDMI ARC output by the squad (they're great too). Number one worked two wks and failed. Number two, replace by the squad lasted about four wks and now we are waiting for the squad to come and replace it with number three. Three times a charm?? If not we'll replace it with a SONOS or BOSE.

    Q70T eARC Does Not Work properly.

    Purchased 3 Q70Ts to find one that works properly. First was defective. Sound dropped out in Youtube on first soundbar using Samsung Q90T tv. Also, eARC has 3 second delay in Youtube on all 3 Q70Ts I tried with 2 different Samsung Q90T tvs, and also with Sony X950H tv. Returned both Samsung Q90T tvs and both Samsung Q70T soundbars and bought a Sony X950H TV and a third Samsung Q70t soundbar. Q70t does not work properly with Samsung TVs. Had lip-sync delays on all 3 Q70Ts with Samsung Q90t tvs, but not with Sony x950H TV. Decided to keep third Q70T soundbar to use with Sony TV because it has good sound even at low volumes, even though HDMI volume control on Q70T does not sync with Sony TV and eARC doesn't work properly with Sony either. I kept Q70T only because I was able to buy Q70T for $399 on sale and has good sound for living in a Condo. Samsung has major HDMI issues which need to be corrected. Hoping for future firmware upgrade to fix HDMI problems. Will try optical cable with Sony to see if volume sync problems get fixed.. Too many HDMI problems with Samsung Q90T tvs to list here. Spent three months trying to get a Samsung TV to work with a Samsung soundboard, but finally gave up.

    I really wanted to love this sound bar and sub woofer, but they're just not that great. Don't get me wrong, if you've never had separate speakers from your TV, and you're just starting to build a set, then this will probably do just fine. It had decent sound and volume, but it lacks richness and fullness. I was hoping to save a few bucks, but you really do get what you pay for. This Samsung set didn't even come close to my Bowers and Wilkins 686 shelf speakers. All in all, if you're used to higher end stereo equipment, then pass on the Samsung equipment and shell out the extra cash for a better set.

      Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well Acoustic Beam which keeps your sound in sync with the action.

      You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

      There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

    Samsung, what are you putting out? This speaker has issues. Bluetooth does not work. The audio oddly sounds like someone is talking through a tin can when a commercial starts to play. Sounds great when watching a program, but every commercial it sounds awful. Can’t figure that one out. It makes no sense. Sometimes I have to unplug the hdmi ends at both the tv (after powering off) and the speaker and then power back up in order to get any sound to play from the sound bar. Very disappointing.

      Hi Hattrick,

      I am very sorry to see that you are having connection issues between the HW-Q70T soundbar and TV. Here are some tips that may help you:

      If you are connecting wirelessly via Bluetooth, please follow these steps:

      1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode
      - “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record.
      - When “BT READY” appears, press and hold the (Mic On/Off) button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display “BT PAIRING”.
      2) Select Bluetooth mode on the Samsung TV: Home > Settings (gear button on remote) > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List > [AV] Samsung Soundbar Q70T (Bluetooth))
      3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Q70T” from the list on TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the Samsung TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection.
      - When the Samsung TV is connected, [TV Name] > “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display
      4) After you have connected the Soundbar to your Samsung TV the first time, use the “BT READY” mode to reconnect.

      If you have an existing Soundbar (e.g., [AV] Samsung Soundbar Q70T) on the list of speakers on the Samsung TV, delete it. Then repeat steps 1 through 3.

      There are also a few things you may want to check:

      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.

      2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.

      3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.

      4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.

      5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update, ver. 1017.5 . You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-Q70T on the Samsung website.

    It would be a five star if it didnt go off on its own. And when it goes off, there is no sound at all and then we have to turn off the tv for the sound to come on. Disappointed because of it shutting off all the time.

    The Atmos on this soundbar is good, but it does have a bit of a static noise when playing Spotify through WiFi. I am not sure if there is a solution to this.

      Thank you for your feedback on the Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. When you hear static coming from your soundbar, it could be from a bad signal from the TV or a poor connection. It could also be caused by interference by mobile devices placed nearby. (1) Be sure to move phones and tablets at least 3 feet away, (2) Make sure that all cables are firmly connected to the soundbar at both ends, (3) Finally, check if the static is occurring on all sources connected to the soundbar. If it is only occurring on one source, replace the cable that the device is connected with.

    The sound quality is solid, but not over the top. If you want a true surround sound experience you'll need to spend more on a system with more speakers. This unit is ideal for a smaller room.

    I normally prefer the Polk Audio soundbar but my local Best Buy was out of stock on them the day I needed it so we listened to the Samsung, We were pairing it with a Samsung QLED and the extra features made it a great package. It looks great, sounds great, and was easy to install and set up
