The sound bar is amazing. Paired it with a Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound bar is amazing. Paired it with a Samsung TV and the Alexa. It’s easy to use. The only note I would mention is that it Hass to be mounted to the wall and if you were going to use a TV drop now it’s done you need to attach it before mounting it to the wall with the TV.

Haven't really had a chance to test the limits yet

Disappointing performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't do it...Save yourself the time of having to return it. I purchased the HW-Q70T 3.1.2 soundbar with wireless subwoofer on 10/30 and returned it on 11/1. The good: The soundbar is very easy to setup and connects to your tv quickly especially if you have a Samsung tv. I have a Q70 75 inch Samsung that I just purchased and the picture is spectacular however the speakers are worse than stock. Basically 100% treble. I was a little nervous about purchasing this soundbar because reviews can be misleading at times but for once they were right on par. For the price the sound was decent, the soundbar itself was clear and not muddled. The bad... Audio lag!!! It took awhile to get the sound to sync by making several adjustments but it always seemed to be a millisecond behind the video once I got it to a place where it was only slightly noticeable I would change the channel or play something on Netflix and there it goes again. Finally it would be back on track after make several adjustments and then it would disconnect randomly and switch back to the TV speakers. I made all kinds of adjustments and changed the connections from optical, to HDMI, to Bluetooth and change all the settings. I'm pretty tech savvy but this one had me calling Samsung and even they expressed frustration with the product as they were walking me through certain steps. The agent recommended I return it! Let's say you are able to connect it and get rid of the audio lag; the sound doesn't match the price. The sound quality is average and the subwoofer performance is poor. I moved the subwoofer all over the room and even right next to your face the bass is lacking. The sound features are not something they should market like surround sound its a joke. Overall the sound is just ok.

Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's nice sound but we went back to wiring it to the TV because blue tooth wasn't matching up with the person speaking. It was always delayed a bit. Other than that we like it.

TV Sound System
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung Qt70 is an incredibly quality tv sound system. I bought the Qt60 before but the Q70 has better woofer that produces better sound than my audio speakers. You can also use its Bluetooth for better sounds as well. Great product to have for price.

Powerful system in a small design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying this is not a 7.1 professional surround sound Audio Video Receiver (AVR) system...but it’s not really trying to be either. What it is is a great option for someone who still wants good sound and simulated surround, but can’t afford or doesn’t have the space to set up an entire pro audio receiver and speakers system. As long as you understand this isn’t and won’t replace a full AVR system, you will thoroughly enjoy this samsung soundbar. UNBOXING: So let’s get into it. In the box is pretty standard stuff; the soundbar, wireless subwoofer, power cables and misc cables like hdmi. (no optical if you are wanting to use that). One thing missing in my box that the manual said was included was a template for hanging the soundbar on the wall. There’s a chance I somehow missed it but I did double check a few times through all the packaging and never found it. This wasn’t a big deal for me because I have done enough of those types of things to hang it without a template but that would be nice to have for some people I’m sure. SETUP: Once I had everything out of the box it was just a matter of plugging in the soundbar power and HDMI to the TV then plugging in the subwoofer power. The sub connects wirelessly to the soundbar, so no need for extra wires running around. For me, the sub connected automatically on its own, but the manual includes instructions for connecting if it doesn’t work automatically. It’s basically “push this button on the sub, push this one on the bar and it’s connected.” Very user friendly and easy to do. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: After the quick setup, I gave the soundbar some basic tests. I started with streaming some 4k, dolby atmos marvel movies on disney+ and had no issues with the stream keeping up. (I have just slightly above average internet speeds and a TCL 4K TV) The soundbar was connected via the ARC channel. The audio was clean and crisp and I could tell it was somewhat “surrounding” me, even though it was coming from one bar in front. I also have a full professional AVR 7.1 atmos system in my main movie room and, like I said earlier, this soundbar is no replacement, but it does do a decent job of pretending. I have this soundbar setup in my bedroom with vaulted ceiling so I’m guessing that is affecting the “atmos” effect, but I did not notice much in the way of “surround” sound above me, but the bar does do a decent job of directing the L/R channels to the side and making a decent surround effect. Some people have complained that the low end is not powerful enough in this system, but I don’t think that’s a fair assessment. Is it wall shaking? No. But it is the correct level for the system, meaning for a soundbar, it’s plenty of bass. Any more and it would simply mud up the sound and overpower the mids and highs. One part I don’t like so much about the sub is that the crossover seems a bit too low. Since the soundbar has smaller speakers, I would have preferred the crossover cover a bit more of the low frequencies or at the very least the ability to adjust the crossover. But for the average user, this probably won’t be noticeable. It could be the reason some say the bass is “not powerful enough” however. After testing a few movies I tried some basic TV shows with stereo sources and had similar results with good, clean audio and a decent mix. There are adjustments for Treble, bass, and center but they are only in +/- 6 increments and I didn’t feel like I had a ton of control of the EQ. Again, probably not a big deal to average users, but for anyone who is knowledgeable in audio and likes to tweak things, you may be a little disappointed with customization availability. Along with the EQ settings there are presets that are “standard” “surround” “adaptive” and “gaming” modes. Cycling through these, I found surround and adaptive to be the best with a close second to gaming. (I was not actually “gaming” using this setting so perhaps that would be even better in that situation.) Either way, if I had to guess, I don’t think the gaming setting gives you all the advantage it claims because the bottom line is the sound is still coming from a speaker bar and not behind you etc. (The optional wireless rear speakers would solve that problem right away though. Something I plan on purchasing soon.) The adaptive setting is best for night and low volume to help boost dialogue but sadly this did not work as well as I hoped and I’m still having issues with dynamic sounds at night. But it’s a soundbar, not a compressor. BLUETOOTH and WiFi: Another great feature of this soundbar is that you can connect a bluetooth audio device for listening to music or podcasts etc. If you have a samsung TV released in 2020 or later, you can also connect to the TV with bluetooth. (this will only provide stereo sound and I’m guessing not great, but it is an option). Or, if you have the smartthings app on your phone you can connect via WiFi and use the smartthings app to control your audio. Personally I do have a samsung phone and found this to work very well but I prefer to just use bluetooth for the few times I’ll be listening to music on the soundbar. OVERALL (TL;DR): Overall I really like this soundbar and even though it’s not the same sounding audio you can get with full sound systems; for a soundbar, it’s really solid and powerful. It has a clean sound and dialogue is generally clean and audible. It’s plenty loud and works great for a small bedroom or den but could easily fill a large living room as well. I don’t know if I would love it in my “movie room” but that doesn’t mean it’s bad, just personal preference. It’s definitely better than any built in speakers on any modern TV. If you’re looking for an upgrade to your TV speakers and don’t have the option of getting a full pro audio system, I would definitely recommend this soundbar system. Plus if you are able to get the add-on rear speakers you’ll be even closer to a full AVR system without the hassle. Samsung is a trusted brand that has always made good quality products that last and this soundbar seems like it will be the same quality I’ve come to expect from samsung electronics. PROS: - Clean, crisp audio at all volumes - Bluetooth and wifi (Samsung Smartthings) connections - Great pairing for QLED TVs - Multiple presets - wireless sub and optional rear speakers. NO WIRES! - Wall mount ready and included (some reason not the screws though?) - Plenty of volume and range - Dolby Atmos ready CONS: - Minimum control over EQ - A bit weak in the mids section - Subwoofer crossover could be better or option to adjust - Twice I had some bug that caused no sound and the only way to fix it was unplug the unit and plug it back in. Have not been able to replicate and not happening often. OVERALL it’s a great soundbar that should last a very long time with the ability to upgrade and expand with rear speakers and firmware updates. I would recommend to others

There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
