    Samsung sound bar

    I've had Samsung A/V products for years and I will stand by the quality and value they provide. However, I am disappointed with this sound bar and subwoofer. I have a 75" QLED tv and this is the sound bar that was suggested to pair with it. My old tv was 53" Samsung and sound was a Panasonic wired system that blows this new system out of the water at half the price. Same room same set up, I've even talked with Samsung "expert" to try to adjust the sound. Didn't help.

    The sound is clear, the bass isn’t as impressive. While this is a good bar it’s performance relative to its price is low. I wouldn’t recommend for anything more than 299.00.

      You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

      There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

    Never buy an open box again

    I bought this one Open Box Satisfactory condition, in the description it say should not come missing of any necessary parts or items. Well, only the soundbar in the box and missing the remote control and the subwoofer, and there were no cables. So the item couldn’t work without the missing items. I thought it was a mistake so I brought the item back to the store for exchange, they said since I bought open box satisfactory item the missing parts are expected and there was nothing they can do. The associate and her supervisor didn’t say anything except made me feel like it was my fault for being cheap. Wasted my time and energy on the customer service.

    Good "bar" but HORRIBLE subwoofer

    The soundbar sounds very good but the subwoofer is non-existent, even at the highest level. There are other "cheaper" brands that have a better/stronger subwoofer. That's why the low rating. I really regret not reading reviews (I usually do but not this time) because it's a known problem out there. I wanted to return it but my return date passed, so I'm stuck with it. Not a happy user!!

    The sound does not meet needs when shows get quiet and a lot of dialogue but is great for action or sound effects! Sad you can’t hear dialogue unless you turn it way up.

      I am very sorry that you are having a hard time hearing dialogue. To improve your experience, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
      1) Turn off your Soundbar.
      2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
      3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

      You can also try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.

    My older soundbar works better. This one is ok, and I like that it has a smaller profile than the old one. The sound it is not as good. Doesn't sync well all the time.

    This sound bar was a big disappointment. It's lacking in features and adjustability. I had just purchased a new 55 inch Samsung Q60 Tv and decided it was time to upgrade my sound bar as well. I originally had the economy soundbar from Samsung around 100 bucks and I loved that sound bar. However it's much me expensive replacement soundbar Q70 just does not sound good. There is barely any bass even with the woofer at max setting. The sound setting just don't work with anything I watch it's either voices to loud and music really soft or music to loud and voice really soft. I have to keep the remote in my Hand while watching TV to adjust the volume constantly. I'm so upset that I bought this and I've never had a bad buy in my life till now. I had sold my old sound bar and have already lost the receipt and the box. Its been about a months since I bought this and the TV speakers sound better without the sound bar. It even has more bass without it. What a complete wast of money. Also the TV+ soundbar option which was why I bought this one in the first place does not work. You can't even get to the settings for it. The sales person showed me how to setup before hand. But with my brand new 55 Q60 tv the option was no available. I've tried many different setting and adjustments but no matter what I do the sound quality is so bad. Ii tried both connecting with Bluetooth and using the optical port and still bad.

      I am also very sorry to see that your sound experience is hearing voices that are too loud and music really soft, or that the music is too loud and voices are really soft in other scenes To improve your experience, press the Sound Mode button on your remote control and select Adaptive Sound. In Adaptive Sound mode, the soundbar analyzes the content and volume to optimize the audio rendering resulting in clearer dialogue.

    Like most, I got on here and read quite a few reviews on this unit. And what I can't believe is how high this system got rated. Mid and highs are not that clear, and for a 300W+ system it does not carry a mid to slightly high level of sound without distorting. The WORST part of the system is the SUB. It's weaker than weak and makes this system not worth the money, period! I returned it and bought a Vizeo, they have really good soundbars for the $ right now.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q70T and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding your experience with occasionally not hearing any sound from your soundbar. You may want to check that the cable connection is not loose. Remove the cable and connect again.

      You may also want to initialize your soundbar again by pressing the - + (volume) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT” appears on the display when the soundbar is initialized.

      Please also make sure that you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update or by using a USB device.

      Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. I am very sorry to see that in-home audio output is not as you experienced in the store.

      First, please check that you have positioned the soundbar correctly. It has come to our attention that customers may be positioning the soundbar incorrectly, resulting in poor sound quality. The soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on Samsung.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

    Sound bar sound kinda cheap and the subwoofer would lose connectivity or not connect at all

      Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well Acoustic Beam which keeps your sound in sync with the action.

      You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

      There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

      I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing connection issues. If the audio from the wireless subwoofer is dropping out intermittently there are a few things to check:

      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
      3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
      4) Check all of the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
      5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update or by using a USB device.

      As for the random disconnection between Soundbar and subwoofer, placement of the devices is often an important factor. Please try to bring the units closer together and move large items that are in between the line of sight of each other.

    Sound quality is ok. Not as good as a dedicated sound system. It's more of a gimmick with up foring speakers. Not much power
