My wife wanted me to get rid of my speakers...so I've been selling off my surround sound system to help pay for the soundbar. I started looking st soundbars at Best Buy and the first one a man there had me listen to was the samsung Dolby atmos soundbar. It blew me away! I couldn't believe the sound coming from that soundbar! I went around and listened to a Klipsch soundbar and an LG soundbar, but the samsung one was the one I favored. With a $1000 price tag, I didn't find it realistic to get this soundbar very soon, not unless it went on sale (which at time I believe was on sale for $800). I had sold enough of my surround sound system along with some Best Buy gift cards I had and happened to come across an open box Samsung soundbar on Best Buy website in excellent condition. Guess who jumped on that? Yep! So far I'm very pleased with it for a fraction of the price. Works perfectly well so far and sounds amazing!

This is a great soundbar but for $200 cheaper there are comparable options. It's comparability with my QLED tv was a driving force in my decision to buy it, and overall I am happy with the product but it is a bit overpriced.

I am very happy with this purchase. I replaced a huge 7.1 system in my living room with this soundbar and sub package. The soundbar is clear with nice mids and lows as well. The surround sound works great as well. However, I have yet to experience the Dolby ATMOS yet, this is due to my TV being outdated which I will be updating soon hopfully. I did a ton of research before purchasing and finally decided to go with Samsung. The LG sounded great in the store (better than the Samsung) but I believe it was all about how the displays were set.
One Quick Tip is make sure you connect it to WiFi straight out of the box and perform the update. Volume is limited to 50 MAX out of the box and the update allows it go to 100. Honestly I have yet to hit 30 while watching a movie or listening to music. This thing is loud and clean!

Was looking for a nice sound bar that wasn't going to break the bank. While going over the selection the gentleman helping me brought this to my attention. The sound from this was a drastic improvement over the other ones I had listened to. The setup was a little painful and I even contemplated returning it. I spoke with an associate there and he wrote a diagram which finally made sense to me. The sound has a nice depth to it and the subwoofer gives it a nice boom.

I have the Q6F 55" QLED, and the Samsung 4k blu-ray player. I had CONSTANT audio issues with an LG soundbar. Finally decided to try this to see if all my ongoing audio issues (HDMI TV arc only, Optical worked fine) despite firmware issues would END the frustration. Picture quality for the QLED was and is amazing!
2 firmware updates since August and I can say all have been stable. The set up took no more than 10 minutes without any issues. Pass thru is the way to go. Great that it displays Dolby Atmos when it is processing that signal, also the blue light appears on the front right or left of the soundbar! (Not explained in the owner's manual!)
I've also discovered that if I use the Vudu app on the blu-ray, I still get the Dolby Atmos. Was told that ONLY with a digital disc would you get that signal. Haven't tried Amazon Prime yet but suspect so long as you start with the player/pass thru you'll get it vs. the apps on the TV itself.
I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I should also say I bought it Open Box/Fair, but only minor cosmetic damage to the subwoofer (hidden in the bedroom anyway), and paid $15 for a missing remote.
Not as powerful as my older Sony $1500 unit in the den, but for a bedroom it is perfect.
Samsung Tech support however is the worst I've ever experienced, starting with the TV. Even when escalated to the Samsung NA President's office they were not in any way helpful.
I'll stick with Sony and LG for all future purchases.

Overall great. Sounds great and nice interface. It always turns on when I turn on the tv or switch over from play station to tv, which is annoying. I get that it's for convenience but I'd rather turn it on myself. Same in said it's part of the programming. Bluetooth can be buggy. Noticed some interference on occasions and trying to figure it out to avoid it. Would still buy it but only on sale. $1000 is way too much.

Perfect set up for a smaller room. If you have a large room this may not be optimal. I would recommend learning how to set up Dolby Atmos to maximize performance of soundbar, otherwise you’re losing out on half of the potential. It’s an easy google for whatever your primary sound output device is.

Once the soundbar was installed the sound produced as opposed to the sound coming straight from the TV was just excellent. I have not watched any movies since receiving this four days ago, but I believe the sound track from movies will be even more impressive. Very glad to have purchased this.

Loving my Samsung sound bar and subwoofer so far! The sound quality is amazing. I do have some issues with the music cutting in and out when I'm linked up to the Bluetooth but I think it's an issue with the connection in my home as my old sound bar did the same thing. The subwoofer is out of this world! I can turn it into the negatives and the bass is still insane. The sounds seem to be contained within the room you are listening to it in, as well, which is nice. I can be in the living room and it sounds like I'm surrounded by speakers and bass but as soon as I leave the room, I can barely hear it.

I wanted a Samsung speakers to match my Samsung tv so I chose this soundbar and subwoofer. The subwoofer packs a punch when you turn the bass up to the maximum. One thing I don't like about this soundbar is it's size. It is huge! I'm sure Samsung will next the next version smaller. Overall, this is a good item to purchase. Even if it is a little pricey.

We seem to have trouble getting it to stay connected to the tv and different devices we have connected ie, apple tv, ps4, ect. Other than that the sound is amazing and it's easy to set up and for the most part, control. Worth the money?? Debatable, you could probably go with a cheaper one if you dont need to be blown away.

This sound bar is awesome! Great sound, it syncs great with your tv. Bluetooth works very well. The $1000 is a bit too much, Get it on sale. I purchased a open box special for $421, it is definitely what you want if you own a Samsung tv.

I love the sound this bar produces. It really does give the fee that you are in the movie and with the Atmos technology you cannot go wrong. If I were gonna do one thing over, I would have spent a couple more hundred for rear speakers.

Samsung has never failed me before and they haven't here. For the price I paid I get exactly what I expected for the most part. I do think it could be louder in both aspects for the price but as far as the quality in sound and connection with the wireless and WiFi is amazing.. I love you Samsung and Best Buy

Great sound with one drawback

I replaced a Bose 5.1 system with this and while I believe the sound to be superior, there is one major drawback: no support for 4k. I don't have a 4k TV right now but the speaker bar is incapable of passing/translating a 4k signal so I can't even upgrade my satellite TV receiver later even if I wanted to without replacing the sound bar. Unless Samsung is able to update the firmware to permit a 4k signal, buying this sound bar locks you in and prevents you from upgrading. For that reason alone I would recommend getting the next version up that supports 4k. For clarification: I've already tried three different 4k satellite receivers and none of them worked; only when I used a non-4k receiver was I able to get a picture. My Blu-Ray, XBOX One and HD-DVD all worked fine out of the box, it was only the 4k sat receiver that didn't. So while I do recommend it for the sound, I would only recommend getting the version that supports 4k, otherwise, unless Samsung can provide an update to remedy this, you're locking yourself in...

Good with quirks

For a small introductory cinema surround sound system in a small enclosed area it is a pretty good system. Sound quality is pretty good considering its price range. The quirks is that the volume is great from one movie and then the next not so great, I have to turn it up. This could be due to its digital decoding abilities. Whether DTS, traditional or standard dolby surround, vs digital dolby surround vs atmos. This seems to be especially prominent with material that is streamed and not from DVD,BLUERAY,4K, or cable. Just streamed so don't know exactly why that is but it can be a nuisance. Other than that issue, I haven't had any connectivity issues with this system, plays music through wifi spectacularly and without a hitch. I haven't used BT very much so can't really comment on that. I do have the R5 360 radiant speakers connected and it was a breeze to connect and the sound is superb through this as well. If I were to compare to Sonos, I would give the edge to Sonos as the highs and lows are a bit crisper to my ear.
