Listened to a few sound bars until a Bestbuy associate suggested this one. I was immediately impressed by the surround sound and clarity. Worked perfectly out of the box. I can’t feel bad about the price..worth it!

Great sound but it can’t connect the rear surround speakers. The cheaper bar can. Go figure.

I'm really quite impressed with the true to life sound and clarity of this sound system. The sound bar itself is amazing on its own with the ten speaker set up (the speakers angled up towards the ceiling that are supposed to imitate surround sound by bouncing sound waves off and back down at you are more gimmick than functional in that sense), but the somewhat subtle at times bass unit really comes through at the right times with deep, rich bass that sounds great without distracting from the intent of the score. Sure, there are plenty of speaker set ups that are louder and more involved (I opted out of the two surround speakers that go with the system for now), but for a sound bar and subwoofer box, there aren't many that compare to this from all of them that I listened to before purchasing. You will however, pay dearly for such good, clean sound. If you can get over the higher than average price, you'll be happy with the higher than average quality of sound reproduction.

The in-store display wooed me into the purchase after buying a Samsung 65in 9000 Series. Followed the instruction and began to watch a movie, You will notice first that you must raise the volume to nearly 100 for the soundbar to be heard. Do not allow any external noise inside your listening area. If you want a cinematic experience during a movie, prepare to be let down emotionally and financially. It would lose connectivity with the TV through the HDMI and the bluetooth tried to connect with my Samsung Radiant 360 speakers throughout my home. I've tried to make it work for me. I haven't returned it because I really wanted it to work. The soundbar is now sitting in the box waiting for a new owner.

Sounds Excellent! Dolby Atmos technology is a must have. This speaker replaces the need for your bulky Receiver and Speakers. Bluetooth your music device through it and it sounds great. Read carefully the required settings for your 4K TV or 4K BluRay Player it's connected to. That may be a little tricky for a non-tech savvy person but not too hard. Have a Dolby Atmos movie ready to test the sound. This is the HW-K850. I wish I would have bought the HW-K950.

It took me three different sound bars to get one that worked. The first one I got was an open box supposedly in excellent condition. When it got here and the Best Buy techs opened it up, it was scratched/dented to high heaven and missing all the components. I had to take it back to the store and swap it out. When I got the second one home, the subwoofer didn't work. I even had a tech come out again to make sure it wasn't me. He tried everything but said I would have to swap it yet again. The third one works and it is definitely loud. The only thing I will say is they get you in the store because the Dolby Atmos will work if you have a like DVD player or are watching a show in Dolby. The standard tv sound is good but it just depends if you think having the option for Dolby Atmos is worth the price since most stuff doesn't use that feature. I will say, when you find something that does it is pretty cool.

I had this soundbar for 14 days. That being said, it had great sound that lived up to the hype - yet I returned it. Why? Because I was never able to listen to Atmos-enabled content (the #1 reason I bought this product) because this soundbar is unable to receive an Atmos signal via HDMI ARC or digital Optical connections. I own an LG OLED tv, and this two connection choices are how the LG passes through the Atmos signal....so needless to say, despite great sound in standard signals, I ended up a disappointed customer.

This Soundbar is AMAZING to say the least! The Dolby Atmos function will definitely fill your room up. Volume goes to 100, but I can only handle Atmos at about 30. Definitely worth the price!!!

Ok, so the in-store demo was amazing, but they really don't tell you what's required for this work properly. I have an Xbox one luckily they support Atmos and have an app you can install to hear how great it sounds. It gives you about 10 videos to preview the Dolby Atmos sound. It sounds incredible. The only thing is I have DirecTV, so I don't even think they support Dolby Atmos. I've looked online and never seen any concrete info stating it does. So you have to perhaps watch Blu-ray disc that has atmos or watch Netflix through your Xbox to hear the Atmos sound. When playing audio that doesn't have atmos it sounds like a typical soundbar. For the price, I would say shop around and see if this is what you want.

Sounded fantastic in store but once I got it home it just didn’t seem to have the same quality when I tried playing YouTube & a few video games. So I tested with 4K content & that sound greatly improved & was closer to what I heard in store although not quite. So with that said it’s good for 4K & music but for everything else it’s kinda average & for the price I probably would not recommend it

I was against soundbars until I heard this one. We wanted something low profile in our living room and this is perfect. Sound quality is great and easy to use paired with a Samsung 4k tv.

I was looking for a good soundbar for my new house and listened to this, it sounds amazing so i purchased it right away. It was on sale for 699 and i've yet to see it drop that low again. Great sound, although it is pricey even for the $300 off that i purchased it for.

Like many others I found myself disappointed with the onboard speakers of my 4K TV. Plus, my wife forced me to retire my large multi component stereo system when we upgraded our living room furniture. I found this sound bar open box at BB and got an amazing deal on it. I no longer have to jack the volume up to hear words spoken and then crank it down for the commercials. The best feature by far is the Bluetooth capability for music. It pairs perfectly and I've never been out of range in my 2,000 sq. Ft. Home. Rich, full sound with level adjustment capabilities. I especially like the designated sub level control. Very happy with it.

Was hesitant due to it being the first sound bar purchased. And that it didn’t have external sub outputs for my existing setup. BUT I opted for the wireless subwoofer and sounds amazing. Lots of speakers playing different frequencies making movie watching a whole different experience. Highly recommended. Oh and don’t expect it to be part of any 10% promotion either. That’s my gripe. But that’s another story.
