This sound bar replaces a Yamaha home theater system. Sound quality is great, although not true surround sound, Setup was easy and quick. The WiFi connection to the sub-woofer and TV are nice and simplify everything.

great sound, easy to hook up, definitely worth its money

My wife and I had are hearts set on Bose, but after learning that the cost did not include the base we decided to go with Samsung. The 850 system is a powerful system we we're impressed with the surround sound we got from a less expensive system. We did find out in order to get true movie theater sound we needed to purchase the radiant speakers for background effects , however for the total we've spend the system is outstanding. Still way under Bose..

Best smaller solution for speaker system. Excellent sound

The sound is amazing, and a great fit with a Samsung TV

I really like the subwoofer and how effective it is. It isn't as loud as I would like it to be, though.

Sound is great but have had issues with it disconnecting from the tv from time to time

My house is connected with Samsung SmartThings and this sound bar was a great option to connect as well. Sound quality is not as good as I would like for the price, but it's not bad. Definitely better than less expensive entry level sound bars. I recommend the Samsung 950 over the 850 if you are interested in Atmos and spending this type of money... although the 850 (this one) is generally available in store and not special order.

The sound is incredible. But there are problems with the internal software. It doesn't behave well switching between different inputs. The TV is hooked up to run through the sound bar, so all devices have to go through the bar. And sometimes you get video but not audio and have to troubleshoot extensively to get it working. In the beginning, the subwoofer seemed not to work consistently, but that seems to have corrected itself somehow.

The Dolby Atmos sounds great on this unit, really the best thing I have heard outside of a movie theatre and I used to work for one. For all non atmos content the unit is good but not great. For a true movie buff watching things in 4K it is worth the spend, for someone not as concerned then this might be overkill for you. As I said, the non atmos content is good but a much cheaper sound bar can sound just as good for tv watching.

I didnt want to deal with rear speakers taking up space. My 4k tv is samsung and this was a great addition to it. This unit replaced a sonos which I wasn't to pleased with.

It's a pretty good sound bar. Just make sure you do the right steps to get Dolby Atmos. It's really loud at 30 sound setting 50 is max I haven't taken it up that much it's loud as heck already. I recommend looking online for more resources for sound bar. instructions that come with it don't go indepth. It shines with Dolby Atmos, it's good for other sound formats. Soundbar---->UHD Blue Ray player----->ARC TV HDMI input.

Only issue is screen goes blank when plugging directly from cable box into HDMI 2 location on soundbar. Love top speakers on sound bar, bounces sound off of celing.

Found this to be a good sound bar but gave it four stars because it could be louder.

So The sound itself is wonderful. The subwoofer is also extremely powerful. My only complaint would be that connecting it to the TV which was also a Samsung was pretty hard. The remotes dont even want to sync. The reason I bought both Samsung tv/sound was for it to work together better. It's probably user error...but still, wish it was a bit easier. With that said, I did get it to work, and man it sounds great.

I love this soundbar! Very clean, crisp sound and sounds great without the rear speakers hooked up. It even connects to your TV wirelessly! A little pricey, but definitely worth it!!!

This thing rocks literally! Easy to set up and when playing an Atmos blu-ray it's like being in the movie theater! You should definitely upgrade to this system I would give more stars if I could!

Easy to install and setup via HDMI-ARC. Sound was good, definitely a lot better than my previous 2.1 Samsung soundbar. If you can find this on Open Box, go for it. If you want a better and more immersive sound, check out the 950 model, which has better processors, speakers and adds the rear speakers.

Soundbar produced surround sound and the accompanying sub woofer makes it better
