Better options out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Vizio and Polk soundbar already. The Vizio with the remote rear speakers sounds excellent. The Polk magnifi sounds okay, but the voice clarity is a bit lacking. This Samsung soundbar wouldve gotten more stars from me if the sub woofer actually did something. Does sound come out of it? Yes. But its at such a low level it doesnt seem like it adds anything to the sound quality. With the other soundbars i have, the sub adds a much deeper sound (pun intended). The bar itself had decent sound quality, but i couldnt get over the seemingly useless subwoofer.

Not As Good As Expected

Easy to set up, sync, etc. The major issue is with Bass and Sub woofer. It barely works. Upon search of reviews for this unit, found this is an over riding major issue. Went back to the store where the Samsung Expert suggested my expectations were too high. A few days later while shopping in Costco saw a similar Samsung unit, a model smaller and it sounded great! Plan on going back to Best Buy to return and replace. Until Samsung fixes this issue, I would stay away from this model

Sound is great if you listening to music.

I read other reviews and they have the same problem. If you have Samsung tv then it will work well but other tvs forget it. I Bluetooth my Iphone and play music and the sound was loud but with the tv low sounds.

Subwoofer weak

The sub-woofer on the other hand can barely be heard. I had to purchase an additional set of speakers with a subwoofer to get that true bass. In hind sight would have rather just purchased the sound bar without the subwoofer and added to it later. Beyond the return period so I am stuck

Have you tried the dedicated Subwoofer level control on your remote?
The button is labeled “WOOFER”, and is located to the right of the Volume button.
Push the button up or down to adjust the volume of the subwoofer to -12, or -6 to +6.
Pressing the button will revert the subwoofer volume to level 0.

Sound bar

But twice it went to shop-1 and never could get it off to play again. By twice I mean I bought two and it happened to both. But Best Buy stepped up and replaced it twice. Also helped me by showing me another brand. I will keep shopping at Best Buy just for there customer service

Minimal volume, No solution

Here are some tips that may help improve the volume level, if you have not tried:

We also recommend users update the software to the latest version, so that the unit would keep up with improvements and compatibility enhancements. The software updates can be performed via the Multiroom App on your mobile device, or via manual download from Samsung.com/support

Good buy but could have been better

I opted to go with this 3.1 system because it was supposedly one of the few true sound bars with a center channel. It was disappointing from the beginning. Sound range is limited, and clarity is a problem. Friends complained about the same things I had a problem with: you simply cannot understand dialogue in TV shows and Movies (that were correctly being decoded into 3.1). In the end, we quit using this for anything but music and used the TV speakers for anything with dialogue. To use this for dialogue necessitated using the subtitles to understand anything clearly.

Have you tried selecting the Clear Voice sound mode for enhancement of vocal clarity?
You can easily select the Clear Voice mode or any other preferred choice by pressing the Sound Mode button on your remote control, located just under the main button.

Underwhelming

Hard to keep hooked up to tv

Not that good for the money

Disappointed

We also wanted to be able to stream bluetooth music through our living area. This soundbar had the right stats and appeared to be a good overall value. However, the sound quality was not as rich as expected and it was due to the subwoofer being weak. I went back and looked at the reviews afterward (duh) and found most people had the same experience. We returned it and bought the Sony HT - CT800 and love it

Missing remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave this review a 2 star rating due to the remote and batteries were missing from the box and they are needed to complete setup. I went to the BestBuy store and they said I would need to order one and I would have to pay for it or I could contact Samsung for the remote. Needless to say, I most likely will purchase future products from another company than Bestbuy. I have bought my audio and video products from Bestbuy for years, so I expected better customer service especially since this purchase was a Christmas gift.
