I previously owned the Samsung 240 watt version of this soundbar, 4 years, still works fine, I really can't tell the difference between the sound of this unit (@ 340 watts) vs the previous one, they both sound fine. What is superior of this unit is the ease of connection and the remote which has buttons dedicated to Netflix and Amazon so you don't have to be searching your apps just press the button and it is much faster. The only problem that I experienced and I noted online that others had as well was syncing the the voice/lips with the sound. I'm using the optical connection which to me provides the greatest ease and allows for the use of one remote (in my case the Xfinity voice remote) but also exacerbated the sync issue. You can either use the HDMI connection (which means you will probably need two remotes) or there is an adjustment via settings on your remote that allows you to alter the delay and sync up the voice/lips. It may vary a bit depending what your watching, it is the worst when you are watching news which is more focused on the face/lips. The unit is very compact and sounds very good/clear for dialogue and action scenes as well.

Volume is highly dependent the source ( TV or cable/satellite box) and the type programming being viewed. Live, news and sports, is very good. However when watching movies and some broadcast shows the low tones are completely inaudible and when you increase the volume the action scenes blow you out of the room. Also, it is somewhat quirky in how it can power on. If you take audio feed from cable/satellite box you need to turn the SB on with its controller. The sound quality is better in this configuration but you cannot use a universal remote. If you take audio feed from TV the SB will come on and the universal remote works just fine. Also, the sound quality is not as good, but adequate.
I bought this unit to replace a Vizio SB that died after nearly 10 years. I was very happy with it and preferred to get another just like it but as usual it was obsolete. I looked around and decided to try Samsung. Overall, I'd rather have my Vizio back.

I have been wanting a nice sound system that would not brake the bank. This meet my wants. Per reviews, most people don't like the budget systems but I found it perfect for what I wanted with sound options on a budget sound system. Love the fact that the sub woofer is wireless which makes it easier to place where I want it.

I like the sound quality and ease of adjusting the sound. It did take me a couple of days to learn to do this easily, as there is a slight delay before the sound adjust and I sometimes still end up with the sound to loud or too soft as I adjust it.
The only downside to this device is that is another remote and I now have 5!

I really like it. Easy setup just plug and play couldn't be easier. Great sound and easy Bluetooth setup also. It is set up to do surround sound with extra speakers the drawback there is you have to buy another unit to make that work instead of just plugging your old already room wired speakers into the system

I replaced an old Samsung sound bar with subwoofer because it just stopped working. I connected it to a newer Samsung TV which made the integration very easy. Sound quality good. Easy to select the different sound effects and adjust the woofer volume. This was perfect for a bedroom or small tv room.

Bought the Samsung-3.1-Channel 340W Soundbar with 6.5 Wireless Subwoofer -color black. Salsung has great products bought this soundbar to go along with my Samsung TV. I love the bass in it when playing my video games makes me feel like I'm in the real time. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a soundbar, and Best buy has the best prices.

We upgraded our TV to a Samsung & decided to also get this soundbar. We always have trouble hearing dialogue on movies & TV. This soundbar really helps with that. The surround sound is great too. The soundbar has different settings depending on what you are doing (standard, gaming, surround, music). Easy to use. Very happy with it.

Purchased this as an addition to the Q60T TV. I own an upscale Q60R Sound bar from a previous year which I use on another television. The HWT650 is decent for the money. Uses the same sub as the upscale model, has plenty of power and bass punch, and clear audio. The difference I see between the two are marginal. The Q60R sound bar has top firing speakers which lends to better spatial positioning while the HWT650 is all front firing. 60R is co branded Harman/Samsung while the 650 is branded Samsung. Most likely a marketing gimmick. Both units incorporate a multi band graphic EQ which lets you custom tailor the sound. However, on the 650 it ONLY allows adjustment of the Standard Audio profile either through the TV menu or the sound bar remote. The older 60R allows adjustment regardless of which sound profile you use. Installation is easy and straight forward. Oddly it includes an optical cable but lacks an HDMI cable.
I would easily recommend this product as it produces high end sound at a low end price point.

Solid product, easy to set up, remote control feels good in my hand. The size is perfect as it fits under my TV without obscuring the view.
Sound quality good although bass is slightly lacking even when turned all the way up. But its more than adequate in a small to medium sized room

I love this soundbar! This is the second Samsung soundbar that I have purchased, and I am convinced that they are the best. SUPER easy to set-up, connects seamlessly to my Samsung TV, and the sound is incredible. I do recommend using the ARC connection vs. the wireless connection. Just seems to be a a bit cleaner and faster connection.

Excellent sound for an excellent price! I was able to pair this up with a Samsung tv with ease. It took me longer to unpack than to setup. Bass is pretty good. My one con is if your tv is an older Samsung and you don’t use an arc setup, the volume display is only on the sound bar. Not a big deal. It just doesn’t display volume on the TV.

Soundbar itself works great. But I had problems with using "Open Box" from Best Buy. It was missing some optional parts, but it was also missing the AC adapter. This meant I couldn't even plug it in. I ended up having to buy a third party adapter somewhere else to get it to work. Be wary with "Open Box" products!

This is the second Samsung Soundbar I have purchased, and it does not perform up to the same level as the previous one. It has a few more features, but the sound is not as... robust as the older model. A couple of things I do not like about this soundbar is that the display is about 3in wide, on the right side, and cuts off when not in use, so you don't know that its on (could be a good thing, I guess). AND, with the other soundbar I have, using the TV remote, you can hold the volume button up or down and the soundbar volume will adjust until you release it. THIS ONE, you have to keep pushing the volume control in order for it to keep moving up or down. And finally, I do not believe this soundbar automatically comes on when I turn the tv on, like the previous model does.
As much as it does NOT compare to the previous one, I will not be taking it back. It works, it has various sound modes, so it serves the purpose.

Great for the price, even cheaper when you combo it with a tv you purchase through best buy. If you want to splurge a little for sound quality, definitely go with the Sonos Arc, but if you want an aggressive look to your TV with a sub this is the way to go for price and features.

Great sounding sound bar. And it being 3.1 makes dialog sound so much better. Got this at a great price from bestbuy. This is pretty mych the same model as th q650. And it came with a digital optical cable. Too bad it didn't come with a hdmi arc cable

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-T650 soundbar with a dedicated center channel for crystal clear dialogue and wireless subwoofer for rich bass. With Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X, sounds are rich and robust, creating a 3D surround sound experience. Feel like you’re part of the scene with sharp, realistic sound.

I got this on sale before Christmas for our bedroom because our newer 42" TV is very soft. When my son would use the smart TV the volume was often left at 35-40 or more depending on what he was watching.
This has really helped. The volume usually stays between 12-20 and we can hear much better. Also music sounds much better with the speaker system. Speakers add a little more depth of sound watching movies when we have competing siblings for the main TV. As far as sound clarity, this is adequate, not as good as our Definitive Technology (aka Def Tech) system.
Worth it for the price though. It is not the highest quality but it suits our purpose. We'll save the higher end stuff for the living room where we spend more time. I have not tested the highs and low yet, but I like it. I was able to set it up myself without my husband, because I didn't want to wait.

I bought this as a house-warming present to myself and have been really satisfied with the whole setup. I mounted the soundbar directly above my TV and place the subwoofer off to the side on a low shelf. For my budget and furniture layout (1-bedroom apartment), this has been a great way to get some good bass and a degree of surround sound into my movies and video games. It's easy to control with the remote, and can BlueTooth connect to my phone whenever I want to use it to play music. I got one for my parents as well (minus the subwoofer) and they love theirs, especially for watching football.
