||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung normally has very good products, but between the overpriced tv or this sound bar, it was a fail. The speaker consistently has an issue connecting with the TV. So I need to set it up manually every time I turn the TV on. The bar will make popping noises as if the speaker has blown even though the sound is not higher than 30 (which to me is a high number and the sound isn't producing the way I thought it would)or be connected to and not produce sound. It becomes very frustrating. I honestly could have just dealt with the TV speakers. I tried troubleshooting a few times with the online helpdesk and yeap you got it, the magic unplug and plug it up speech. That should not be the issue to enjoy the product I purchased. Disappointed overall with this purchase, but I will say when everything is working it's fairly nice.

Sound is directly in front of you though I played around with the different connections i.e. WiFi, BT as well as it’s settings- it’s going to take a bit for me to appreciate what it has to offer.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung HW-MS6500 Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its performance.
Please check the connection between the Soundbar and other source devices, and try the following tips that may help improve the sound output .
1. If the Soundbar is connected to a TV thru HDMI, make sure to use the HDMI-ARC jack on the TV and select “External speakers” as the TV sound output.
2. Check the audio output format sent to the Soundbar. Typical options are PCM, Dolby Digital, and Bitstream. Select the option that optimizes the sound from your source.
3. Change the SOUND MODE on the Soundbar using the Soundbar’s remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. Select the appropriate mode for the individual room acoustics.
4. Turn on Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the SOUND MODE button on the remote control while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

I used the blue tooth set up and was done 5 minutes later. Rest of the time learning all the neat features, such as streaming from my phone, etc. Great product!

Way better than the speakers on the TV

I am more than pleased with the sound quality even opting to not purchase the subwoofer. Sits nicely behind my curved TV and the sound is rich. Good bass despite not having an external subwoofer. Does the job great for movies at home
