We have had this cooktop for 2 years and have decided to by another one. This guy is so terribly slow to heat up but when it’s hot it takes forever for it cool down. You need to crank it up to max to get it going and then it will never cool down. Don’t repeat my mistake, get something else. On the positive side it looks good and the touch functionality is great.

I had a new one installed in August 2018. It has not been working well as the machine turns itself off randomly during normal cooking. Two days ago it stopped working entirely. I called Samsung Tech support, followed all instructions over the phone and still could not turned it on. Today, I had a Samsung authorized service shop to diagnose the problem. The technician told me it will cost me $650 to get the board changed and he cannot guarantee it will work as one of the burners might have been burnt out. So, I will be better off getting a new NON-Samsung cooktop to replace it -- a $100 advice from the technician. This is the quality of Samsung, surprised?

Hi HotSam! If the cooktop is shutting off on it's own, I recommend using the information in this link (https://bit.ly/2NKpuB8) to help you determine the reason. ^Jecca
