I purchased this tv to replace a smaller one I had in my kitchen. I needed another HDMI input and rather than add a switcher I also wanted a larger screen. The Tv has a great picture. The only complaint I have with it is it picked up all my Directv receivers as input sources when they are not. so to switch sources you have to switch thru all these sources to get to the 2 that are actual sources.

Color bright and images are clear. Sound is above average. A good tv for the bedroom.

This TV has a great picture and was easy to set up. What's with no Flashplayer? Counter-intuitive that's what. I'll think twice about another Samsung.

I'm rarely moved to write a review for a product these days. This TV has proven to be among the rare few that I feel have earned a little of my time to write about them. I picked up a "Version: XC43" model of this televsion (this information can be found on the UPC label on the thin side of the product's box) at my local Best Buy yesterday. It replaced a smaller (and older) Samsung Touch of Color T260HD TV/PC monitor that has served me well for almost 8 years now. I unpacked the TV and found that it needed 7 screws to be used to attach the base and its connector to the main panel of the unit. While doing this, I found that the base for this TV is quite solid and provides a really nice, low-profile, set of "feet" for the TV to rest on. The physical aesthetic of the television is modern and sleek and the base is part of that design consideration. While setting up the television, I connected it to an indoor Over-the-Air (OTA) antenna to receive broadcast HDTV signals. Upon turning on the TV for the first time, I was walked through an easy-to-follow set of instructions to configure the TV's Wifi network connection, read the (quite-lengthy) privacy notice and SmartHub terms of use, then watched as the TV used the antenna to discover about 25 local OTA channels. With that complete, the TV was ready to go! The screen, itself, is gorgeous. Even without calibration, I am surprised at the nearly night-and-day difference in picture quality between an older Samsung 1080p screen and this new one. OTA HD channels are crisp and clear. The audio on the TV is pretty decent for a TV without a connection to an external home theater receiver and surround sound speakers. This is quite usable for a small office or a bedroom or even a study (if your home should have one). I also connected a Playstation 4 console to the HDMI port. It's quite nice to turn the TV and flip through channels then have the TV switch to the HDMI1 port when I power on the PS4 via its controller. Easy, seamless transitions like that are classy and helpful. I haven't had a chance to try out the SmartHub functions just yet, but if they are anything like the rest of the TV's interface, I am confident that the experience of using the apps on the TV will be just as pleasant as the rest of my experience has been. The "TL;DR" version: Don't hesitate to spend a little extra for this TV. You definitely get what you pay for with this device.
